ReplyDelete@Galore
@fab mum.... sorry for calling you stupid...am so sorry.
DeleteI really am happy. Thank God for this news. I've not been myself since I heard he passed away.
DeleteJesus!!! His last child died or what did I just read?
ReplyDeleteWhat????!!! His child died on seeing his dead body? Who allowed a 5yr old see a corpse sha? And how does that amount to death?
ReplyDeleteHmmm....
Anyway I'm excited to hear about the go fund me page.
Nice one @mobilepunch. I hope it doesn't end with @mobilepunch creating a Gofundme account for him. I hope the NPF, Imo State Govt., Zenith Bank and the National Assemblies will take responsibility for the family welfare, by providing the kids with educational scholarships and empowering the wife with an entrepreneur skill(s) if she doesn't have any with a start-up capital.
ReplyDeleteExactly. You got this out of me
DeleteOh my gosh.Speechless!
ReplyDeleteEeyah
ReplyDeleteIt is a pity. He was so brave and gallant. He wouldn't have died if there was a second police on ground because he really challenged them. RIP Chukwudi.
ReplyDeleteThis is a call for charity but let government gave his family part of that Ikoyi abandoned funds so no one claimed it.
This is a good move. Our government should do more for them.
DeleteThis country sef!!! So the Nigerian govt won't pay 'is it gratuity' they call it???? They will just abandon this family after their father died trying to protect lives??? Smh
ReplyDeleteEka joy, congrats. Don't mind those anon wey never even reach airport o. Enjoy ur stay there jare.
DeleteYou and i know that his gratuity won't amount to a lot... the Go fund me account is very necessary
ReplyDeleteThis story has really saddened me! His 5 year old child died on seeing his corpse!? Kai!!!😢😢😢😢
ReplyDeletePlease let's help this family. Every little helps. Going to the Gofundme page now
Eayah felt for the family. May God comfort the mother of the last child and comfort all his siblings too.
ReplyDeleteMay God wipe their tears permanently amen.
Thank God for the Punch doing this. That is why most policemen dont want to put their lives out there for anyone.
I'm glad that video went viral. Gratuity and some monies assigned for officers who die on duty(can't remember what it's called) should be quickly paid please. The process takes too long. I also hope his relatives haven't pushed the poor widow aside. This gofundme will go a long way.
ReplyDeleteOn an amebo note, please stop bringing in kids you can't take care of. At his level, he had seven kids. In this economy? Please do family planning so that you can enjoy yourselves without necessarily bringing in more kids
The forlorn look on the wife's face is heart breaking!
ReplyDeleteAnd the child died again?
How much can a mere mortal take?
God will help u my fellow woman.
Thats nice
ReplyDeleteGood
ReplyDeleteMay his soul RIP, but I want to reiterate what someone had mentioned above, how can someone at that income level produce 8 children?, and the woman self just dey receive and produce children.
ReplyDeleteWhere is the place of family planning in this modern age.
And some of these folks will now try to push the responsibility of taking care of their football team to a more comfortable family member that has just 2 or 3 children.
Abeg people should give birth to the number of children they can provide very good care for.
If he was alive, he would never need your cent to provide for his family. This is a sad situation and even if he had just two kids, they still would need help. Jugina
DeleteMy thought exactly. Haba why the football team in this current economy. Msthew. I feel for him but that is not an excuse.
DeleteOmg this is sad. He died a day after the incident? Thought the other post said he died in april
ReplyDeletePeople will donate..
ReplyDeleteNigerians are good people... Pls
But, will the money get to his family intact?
The woman doesn't seem so learned or is it my eyes?
They may outsmart her, give her less than half...
Pls still donate sha....
Hoping it ends well.
I will donate .
ReplyDeleteThis has broken my heart
ReplyDeleteGood, Rip to them
ReplyDeleteGood move
ReplyDeleteThat man was super brave.
He should be honoured.
But why allow a 5year old see a corpse how much more that of the father?
Quite sad and painful.
It is well with the family
Amen o!
DeleteThis is quite sad😢
We can now see and understand why our policemen duck at the sight of robbers, bravely does not put food on the table of a widowed wife nor pay fees of fatherless children. Hopefully, we can blame them less, curse them less and certainly, expect less Van Damne moves from them.
ReplyDeleteTrue.
DeleteWay to go Punch.CSR @ its finest.
ReplyDeleteThought I read he's still alive yesterday.Checking the gofundme page,i discovered little drop of water make a mighty ocean, that's really nice. God bless the contributors.
ReplyDeleteNSITF please pay this woman her husband's benefits after all he died in the course of doing his job. I only hope NPF have been making the mandatory contribution to the Fund.
