Nollywood Actor Thrown Out For Owing 5 Year Rent..

This is certainly not the best of times for Emeka Rising Ibeh known for his role in the Movie “Isakaba” and “Mr. Ibu The Lecturer “ as he has been disgracefully thrown out of his former apartment at 7 Nuru Onuwo Street in Surulere for owing rent for 5 years worth N2.5 million naira.

 Emeka has been living in the apartment as a ghost tenant over the last five years and could not afford to pay his rent according to the Landlord of the house.

When news agency of Nigeria visited the apartment, it was undergoing massive repairs and renovation. Speaking, the Landlord of the house who prefers to be called Mr. Samuel confirmed the report, “As you can see we have eventually thrown out our Emeka with the help of the court.

 This apartment was rented by one Ejezie Emeka Rollas who when he was packing out never informed me but chose to give the apartment to his partner who is also Emeka. The apartment was literarily turned into a place for India hemp smokers and camp for prostitutes. It was hell. He said he was a Nollywood practitioner yet he could not pay his rent. 

There was no tactics and tricks in the world that these Emekas didn’t use to avoid paying my rent in the last 5 years running into 2.5 million naira. We have been in court with him on this matter but thank God that the same court gave judgement to throw him out. Can you imagine staying in an apartment for five years without paying rent? Such an irresponsible fellow. You needed to be here the day he was thrown out by officials of the court; there was Jubilation not just in this compound but on this whole street. It was that bad”. 

 There were also loads of India hemp and other substance found in the apartment which has been tendered for further investigation. The obviously elated Landlord said.

Also speaking on condition of anonymity, a close friend of Emeka Rollas said “It’s a pity and a shame what is happening to him, the truth is that everybody knows that Emeka Rollas is Emeka Rising godfather because of their relationship dating years now. Infact Emeka Rising is Emaka Rollas alleged political thug that he uses to unleash mayhem on opponents in Nollywood. 

So Rollas gave him the apartment as compensation. See the disgrace Rising has brought to us. It was still Emeka Rollas who in 2011 with the support of some of us gave Rising the Chairmanship post of AGN Lagos and gave him a mandate to get married and become a responsible man and make something meaningful with his life, but he bungled everything.

 As I speak to you Rising is staying in one of the rooms at Adex hotel somewhere around here but he has also been told to leave because he is owing the hotel so Emeka Rollas is now considering Squatting him at the NCAC inside the National Theatre . What else can a friend do”?


Mood in the compound At the compound where Emeka Ibeh was thrown out, one of the neighbors said “This is a big relief for us because the experience and the things that happened here was unimaginable. Sometimes in the night you will hear ladies screaming for help in the apartment and when we go to knock, Emeka will say they are acting movie. At another time it will be the smoke of India hemp with all kinds of funny looking characters claiming to be Nollywood actors. It was not a palatable experience that is why the whole compound celebrated the day he was thrown out by the court like a piece of rubbish that he truly is. We are free at last”.

Recall that Emeka Rising was expelled from Actors Guild of Nigeria by Ibinabo Fiberesima for thuggery and anti-guild activities in Lagos.
