Judges 14 and 15(Read at your convenience)!
This message is not gender specific. Delilah in today's context stands for anything subtle, cunning or crafty that is projected by the enemy, to truncate your destiny!
This message is not gender specific. Delilah in today's context stands for anything subtle, cunning or crafty that is projected by the enemy, to truncate your destiny!
Please permit me to ask you two questions:
1)WHAT IS YOUR WEAKNESS?
2)WHAT ARE YOU DOING ABOUT IT?
Samson, a Nazarite whose name means “sunshine,” was born sometime between 1045 BC and 1000 BC, during a dark period in Israel’s history.
While Samson was in a steamy romance with Delilah in the Sorek valley of ancient Philistian, he never imagined that his sordid relationship was polluted by the enemy and thus, tragedy was waiting to happen.
The enemy sought to destroy Samson because he was incredibly gifted. Gifted in a way that, though he had a body stature like Nkem Owo, he fought like Anthony Joshua. Lol!
The gift of God is the reason you have something that doesn't look like you are suppose to have, and can do something that doesn't look like you are suppose to do.
You see, the devil knows that we are all blessed with individual gifts. God dropped a seed of Greatness on the inside of every living being! And so the devil fights those that try to work out theirs! God gives you a raw material(gift, talent etc), you work it into a finished product(greatness)!
The devil does not attack you in your area of strength, but in your area of weakness! Have you ever found yourself doing something wrong, people warned you, but you felt you knew exactly when to back out? But then, life happens and you realise it's too late?
The problem with a lot of us is that we wouldn't even admit to our own self that we have weakness in this area of our lives and try to DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!
The secret to Samson's strength wasn't necessarily in his hair but in his heart! If Samson did not reveal his heart, Delilah wouldn't have known. So, Samson's power was more in his ability to shut his mouth!
Who are you sharing your secrets with?
The Philistine army could not get Samson the hard way, so they went subtly.
Admit to yourself your area of weakness and be willing to do something about it. Because if you achieve anything great, the devil will come after you through Delilah(Your area of weakness)!

Hmmmm.......well preached. Thank you bv amos
ReplyDeleteAnd SDK blog na my weakness 😩😩
DeleteNice one
ReplyDeleteMy weakness are men that look like chris Hemsworth.
ReplyDeleteI can't do anything about it.
My weakness now is Porn. How did it start?... i really don't know. I'm not bragging but I'm that iimage of a good girl gradually turning bad. At 22 I'm a Virgin... haven't even had my first kiss sef. I just feel like there are more things to work on.. like myself and the insides of my pocket before relationship will come into picture. But since three weeks plus now, I'm battling with Porn. It started with a curiosity of what this sex really is. I heard about the act of it, how's its been done, how a woman should be satisfied, in fact everything but I have no images to give to the act.... so i dived into Porn to satisfied my curiosity and honestly I wasn't prepared one bit about what I saw. Once I tired pleasuring myself but I felt disgusted after and just made do with watching it and since this three weeks, i have been battling stopping it. Any time I hear or read that word sex, before I count up to 100, i found myself watching it and feeling disgusted afterwards. Now it's making me think sex is too animalistic and disgusted. I don't understand sef, i just want to STOP it please God. Really stop ot... not just saying it or praying about it cause praying ain't working for me now. Mehn that's my weakness now guys.... i just needed to offload this.
ReplyDeleteBV Amos Thanks for this.
DeletePorn is ADDICTIVE. The best way to stop is by channeling your energy to something productive. Sounds cliche right?
*When the urge comes again make sure you are around ppl and dont go incognito on your browser. Deep within, you know it is wrong so its mostly done when no one is around.
*Do away with your earpiece for now. Might sound silly.
*Constantly study God's word. Yeah! yeah! I know easier said than done, but It will help you a long way. A little drop of water can make an ocean. Just take it one day at a time and start with the pace you are comfortable with.
Yours is just three weeks so you can overcome it if you put your mind to it. These were some of the things I did that helped me get over mine.
Stella i think you should do a post on Addiction where BV's get to talk about their addiction and how they were able to overcome so that others can learn.
Note-this is not anon gone wrong. It is always good to share if you know it will help someone out.
First, delete all the porn videos on your device. Second, remind yourself of how much waste of data it is to go online downloading another. Third, what do you enjoy doing? If it is reading, improve on it. And above all, don't stop praying. It works. Prayer goes hand in hand with effort/works.
DeleteThank you very... i really appreciate the advices guys

Delete@Anonymous 10:58 ADDICTED TO PORN
ReplyDeleteNice to know that you want to stop; it is half done.
Next step; begin to deny yourself "some food, meals, delicacies".
It has since been an age-long lesson that if you are able to control you physical appetite, you will as well be in control of your emotional appetite! This time, do it as an honor to God and your body which which he created for his glory.
Begin to incorporate the word of God into your routine.
Like in a day, miss breakfast, study the New Testament -a good place to start is the book of John.
Also a fruit fast will help -just being on fruits and vegetables for like a week. Try it and see. And as a lady, you will love your physique and lush skin after that! Improve on its regularity.
Meditate on what you've studied, get the visuals -the gospel of John and others are also free movies on YouTube. Remember the Psalms, how can a young person keep his way pure, by giving heed to your word. The fact is, your mind has to be filled with something positive, something that generate faith and hope in you.
Please come back and tell us "I am free" for you will be.
I will and Amen to that. Thanks for advice
