Office Brouhaha Part 3 Continued

This is a JUICY continuation from HERE

So we suspended both for two weeks just so we can get fresh air. Anyway, did i mention that SP 1s wife is a caterer? Hehehe. 

The very next monday, by 10am she sent her crew with turkey sandwiches, fruit salad, blueberry muffins, some exotic tea brands that we don't stock in the office and fresh fruit.

 This is the first monday of the month and core employees usually work late on such days (sure she knew). So they were all to happy to see the kitchenette well sorted. Around 2:30 pm waaaawuuuu!! Chicken curry and steamed rice, jollof, plantain, coleslaw and more juice. Normally closing time is 5pm but on days like this, work goes on till 8pm. Around 6:30 we thought they came to clear up, na lie oh.

 Orisirisi nuts, smoothie, kebab, scotch eggs and dark chocolate followed. Guys in the office were so chuffed. See them calling her phone 'Ah aunty we arent upset with you oh. You know we love you etc'


Next thing, MD just opened his office door and shouted laughingly to the floor 'THIS IS BLACKMAIL OH!! WONDERFUL'. 

Apparently, 😂😂 at our December party in MDs house, SP1s wife catered and baked one type of cake that had the world inside - fruits, raisins, nuts and chocolate. His wife is a sweetooth and absolutely loved it. Lo and behold, SP1s wife had baked the exact one and had it delivered to MD's house with an apology card to him and the wife. 

That shes sorry and we should forgive her for her gross misconduct. So when he called his wife to report that ah see whats going on that one said she was awaiting his return to show him the cake she received.

So everyone was like we should let things go back to normal after two weeks. After two weeks, they both returned. The office was awkward. Very awkward. By the third day FD knocks and asks to talk to me. Shes crying that shes been going through alot..... recession.... mum's ill...... falling in love with the wrong guy..... her elder brother she lives with having money issues..... he promised to send her for Masters but contracts are on hold and SP1 promised he would sponsor her but now its all in flames...... she hates the way everyone now looks at her, she's feeling uncomfortable and now the only thing she's holding on to keep her sane is this job. But she's no longer comfortable.

 Truth is i felt for her. Cos that SP1 ehn...... anyway sha, i told her she needs to apologize to MD cos the other party has apologized. Thats why she looks stupid. So the next day when MD came she apologized with a bottle of champagne (MD drinks only champagne). Now sent a general mail copying everyone (apart from SP1) with an apology. Promising to conduct herself better.

SP1 now started giving me an attitude. Wont respond to my pleasantries so me sef ignore am. One fine day he came to my office and was telling me how i wanted to ruin his home (as if I'm the one who inserted his penis and told him to run his mouth) and FD has to go. I told him not to get me involved and any more complaints should be forwarded to MD (whose heart has been softened by what FD did). He didn't and kept his attitude.


Trust me there were some awkward days cos we are usually one big family. But early-April FD told me she was able to get into one multinational through her SIL as a contract staff. She's supposed to give two weeks notice, but i just told MD that she should be allowed to go immediately to give her a clear head. 

She was paid all her dues and I covered for about a week, until we got new FD. New FD2 is a big skirt, tying head, oversized blouse lady; she comes at 8am and has one hour around the office to pray at the office -laying hands on all the chairs and systems. Speaking the word of God to every spiritual obstruction. Hahahahah. 

She was earning 65k on her last job so for 110k, she's on the moon. MD liked her, I LOVED her; others started saying they missed FD1. But I couldn't be bothered as long as everyone was happy.
