 LONG STORY

 Hello Stella of life, pray this meets you well. please hide my identity. i dont know where this fit into but please i need advice from my blog family. I always see myself acting movies in my dreams ever since i was a child. 
Truth i love acting so much and i go for auditions i am told i am good but I'm not given good roles and the ones that offer to help wants me in their bed. I am not all that beautiful but I'm not ugly either. I gave up on acting and started makeup. People compliments my job and look forward to working with me again but they don't come back and those that do only wants to owe me. 
I am married now with a baby but these acting dreams are becoming stronger and I'm really confused.. Years ago a pastor called my name in a church program myself and two other girls came out, he pointed at me and told me that someone had locked my shinning star in my parents separation and that the only way to free myself is to bring my dad and mum together i never took him serious.
 But i have been thinking of it lately.. I tried producing a script i wrote because those i gave the script told me it was very nice but still i couldn't produce it and i lost all my savings. It seems someone somewhere is really trying to make me useless. The thought of what i have done to succeed is driving me crazy. I don't see any possibility of mum and dad coming together cause they have been separated for 29 years and by the way i am 29years old. I was only 3months when mum left me for dad. 
 My mum remarried and gave birth to other kids but dad is still single. I have headaches thinking of my life and what i am not doing right.
If truly there is a supernatural force behind my succeeding how do i come out of it. Please forgive my errors. I will be reading comments God bless you all.

CARBONATED DRINKS AND MANGO

 Hello Stella,
 I'm an ardent reader of your blog.  I don't know where this fits in but please post. I'm sending this mail to create awareness on the dangers of taking carbonated drinks with mango.

I don't want to call it an addiction but I love anything that is iced, and that was the beginning of my problem yesterday. I usually avoid taking carbonated drinks especially Pepsi, Fanta. I was eating mango when my sister came home with iced Pepsi so I just felt it won't hurt if I drank little

  (so much for not being greedy), so I drank and resumed eating my mango. An hour later I started feeling uncomfortable and dizzy,  I just overlooked, showered and got ready to eat. I could not eat and my stomach was so bloated (felt like I'm carrying 5mnths pregnancy). 
Sleeping throughout the night is a long story. By this morning my stomach came down a bit, then shitting spree started, I drank garri to curb the purging and I slept. Shortly after my dad came to show us a bc he got about a man that died after eating mango and Coca-Cola. 
Up till this moment I've not been able to eat anything and my stomach is still rumbling.  I'm sending this post as a testimony of God's grace and mercy because I am not better than others that died through this way or another and also as a warning to others to be careful with what they take together with carbonated drinks.

  Please don't mind my epistle.

READ THIS STORY
I am a blog visitor and I visit your blog at least three times a day. Yes, I am a super fan of yours. I am typing this mail in tears. Please forgive every error plus I am not good at narration so it might be a bit long and scattered.
Something happened to me at my place of work and I will like to share. Kindly hide my ID. Blog family permit me to rant here because i have no human to pour my heart to but i already poured it to God.

 My work is majorly customer service and I don't work weekends and public holidays. Last week Friday I took permission from my boss to travel to go see my parents and I was given permission. I traveled Friday and got back on Monday  (workers' day). When I resumed on Tuesday, I checked my mail and one of my customers had issue on Friday which has not been resolved till the day I resumed. 

 The customer already escalated to oga patapata and it became a big issue. Oga patapata summoned everyone involved except me and the blame was poured on the most junior staff 'me'
My boss I took permission from, was meant to cover for me by attending to my customers during the period I was not around (friday) but I guess he could not do everything despite the fact the customer sent mail  and addressed it to him directly and only copied me in the mail. 

 What really pained me was the fact that my boss didn't defend nor tell the oga patapata that I was not around when the issue happened, they made it seem like I was around and I ignored the customer's mail
Now, the oga patapata has insisted my appointment be terminated (I was not summoned to tell my own side of the story as all the smaller 'ogas' decided to support my boss) and my boss said they have been  pleading with oga patapata to make it 2 weeks suspension with no pay. 

  Stella, the last salary they paid before this issue happened  (April salary), they reduced our salary without prior notice or reason oooo. They treat contract staffs like slave but still, I carry out my duty with joy because half bread is better than none. 

 Now, I have been told to stay home pending the time they will let me know if it's suspension or termination. I am typing this mail in tears because I don't know what to do. i am a very hardworking lady and i don't joke with my customers. Issue like this has never happened before so I don't know the reason for such life changing decision. My house rent, masters, catering for myself are all there

 They expect us to be productive when there is no motivation or job security. Really Deep in my heart  Stella,  I told God to perform miracle by giving me another job (better job), so that when they call me back I will boldly tell them miracle worker has given me another job. 

 BVs please pray for me as a family here on SDK for God to take control. I only told my sister cos I can't tell my parents, they are old and I don't want them feeling guilty about what happened at work because I came to check on them, it will break their heart.

SOS -MEDIA BOARD NEEDED FOR RENT!

 Please can you help me post this on IHN, as I'm actually trapped at the moment. I am saddled with the responsibility of organizing a corporate event and after paying for the venue I'm told they have no media board. I can't get a refund in less than 24 hours.

 In this regard, I need someone (individual or organization) who has media board/projector for PowerPoint and official presentations - just to project documents) for rent. The equipment is needed in Victoria Island for a corporate event tommorow. The event will be from 10am - 5pm, so we would be renting for about 7 hours.

      Stella on the issue of the Lady who is in suspension from work... Stella you are wrong. What if she was sick for a month does it mean that the company can't operate without her. As long as your leave of absence from work is official you cannot be penalised for errors or discrepancies that occur during you absence. Working in an organization should be seamless n shouldn't be held down by one person... Poster may God do a miracle in your life that will wipe away the tears of this job. Amen

    I was surprised at all the replies I saw under this comment on SP.
    They were all encouraging her to get pregnant for the guy before marriage like he wants.
    My girl, DON'T get pregnant for this man PLS. Let him come and see your parents, marry you properly before baby making. He could be married and his wife is not able to give him a child, he now wants a lady that would give him one, hence the rush. You may be headed towards 'babymamahood'. You said he appeared after 6yrs and suddenly wants to marry you? A lot must have happened in the 6yrs you both were apart. Get to know him well, know his people including his parents.       Hi cookie, you need to find out your maintainance calories so you stick to that. Add 2tbsp olive oil/ peanut butter, 1-2cups whole milk and 1 avocado to your diet every day. Don't forget to work out your waist so your gains don't go to the waist.
      For one like you, you can't gain weight if you are not consistent.

      @cookie Find out your body type, check out these terms, endo skeleton, mesoskeleton, exoskeleton, calculate your BMI and aim to live your healthiest.

      Since u burn energy very fast, pls do a thyroid function test, u might have hyperthyroidism, fast metabolism, makes u burn energy too fast. And if u gain weight, wether u eat or not, also do thyroid function test, u might have hypothyroidism, slow metabolism and add weight easily.

    I was disappointed at your response to the lady who is on suspension from her job. I live abroad and i'm an HR professional. The lady has done nothing wrong. She took a vacation time off not like she didn't show up for work. She did apply for vacation and her immediate boss should have taken the responsibility to have someone cover her while she was away. If she was in Canada, she would have sued her company because she has done nothing wrong. They are simply penalizing her for taking time off which she is by law entitled to. The company also reduced her pay without prior notice or negotiation.
    My dear poster, i think you should start looking to work in a different company. I think this company is unstable and they do not follow due process. The company makes arbitrary decisions and operates on a draconian law (sort of). Pray and start sending your resume to other reputable organisations. All the best hun.

I live abroad and if you ask permission from your boss to go on holiday and you are given, whatever happens, whilst you are away is none of your business. Also, you could call in sick and they would allow you stay home. so what is Stella talking about?

    Stella I disagree with your comment. I live in UK and when one takes permission, other staff provides cover for you while you are away and no one can hold you responsible for what happened in your absence because you were duly permitted. The person providing d cover ought to answer for it. Things like this can only happen in Nigeria and not abroad .

    Stella you are wrong on the issue of the lady who has a problem at work.
    Everyone knows that here in Nigeria, contract staffs are use like tissue paper, toolbox, take away pack etc.
    There is nothing wrong in seeking leave of office to attend to important matters. Even abroad it's allowed if justified (I schooled and did some attachments abroad so I know).
    Now back to the problem. Her boss may be afraid of the Oga patpata and that's why he cowed out rather than defend his subordinate. Now because he knows the lady in question took excuse, he is pleading on her behalf 9Thats all he can do so he doesn't get burnt)
    The truth is, our sister here can not say otherwise because I am very sure her request of leave and subsequent approval were not made formal. Probably just through word of mouth. This is where her problem lies.
    My dear sister, you are in our prayers, God won't allow you lose the small one you are managing if he doesn't have any bigger plans for you yet.
    Just pray and cheer up... Who knows, your break away from these slave contract may just be by the corner.
