So I visited my aunt and she took me to this church then I met a prophet who asked if believed in prophecy, I replied not all the time. He asked the reason for my answer and I said it's due to false prophecies from some of these prophets. My people, in my innocent answer, I didn't know I had offended this man because he started prophesying out of anger telling my aunt that I am rude, not humble and I might not last in a man's house. Airpeace nearly kill man pikin yesterday, still traumatized. The "auxiliary" engine didn't start on its own while on ground, they told us it wasn't a big deal as it wasn't needed after take off. They got "ground air" and used it to start the aux engine.
ReplyDeleteSome people came down while d "brave" ones still went ahead with the flight.
Na so as we dey for air, pilot came on and announced that "unfortunately this flight cannot make it to port Harcourt..." say what???!!!!
The aircraft was having more problems that weren't apparent before we took of. And it was "beyond their control".
As a result we were going back to Lagos. Choooooiii!
See panic! Prayers, confessions, shock! So many emotions going through our minds. WHY DIDN'T WE COME DOWN??????!!!!
To God be the Glory, we landed safely at the international wing, cos the pilot said he had to use a long runway.
We got put on a different aircraft and made it to PH.

Good morning lovelies. Yeah we up and about already, based on logistics ( hahahaha) I just sneaked out of the house while some were still sleeping and some were sobbing. Duuuuh. A woman got to do what she got to do, motherhood rocks but there are days it pains. Oh well, the ID card is for only me, trust my driver to roll out numb then i go join in, and some smart ones go still catch the swift move, run out and be screaming, i have taken off so see ya all at dusk. Three more days and the Easter holidays will be here and we all coo at home.

I also want to say that as much as some of us are made to believe Nigeria is 'Hopeless' there are many people making legitimate money out there from hard work. I mean several millions monthly. Stella please dont judge by what you see in your inbox. And NO, not just from 9-5. Hung out with two different sets of friends twice this weekend and i must tell you that apart from the fact that i surround myself with fellow hustlers, im proud that Nigerian youth are very hardworking and dont back down easily. What is recession? The name of animal, place or thing?
ReplyDeleteFor those of us doing 'small businesses' ..... be consistent. Skills are not just feeding families now, but changing lives. When you make money put back in your business. Take it seriously as if your life depends on it. Ask the right questions, talk to the right people, be at the right events, patronise the right customers for your brand and get the right positioning for your target market. You can fail as a result of bad strategy, but failure is a learning process not an opportunity to stay down.
And 9-5ers, the corporate world is very competitive. Gone are the days when things fall on your laps because you 'have a job'. Be efficient, be that employee that doesnt go unnoticed. You dont like a job? Improve on your skills and apply for a new one. If your employer doesnt train you, train yourself afterall the certificate is in your name. Never be at the bottom of the performers list, never relax. From the interview until you become an executive. We saw the testimony of that guy yesterday thay was asked CBN policy question. Imagine if he didnt have an answer and was trying to work in a financial institution? Try and know almost everything that applies to your industry. Even as youre trusting God, dont be naive and do your part. Get the right certifications as your career progresses and hang around those you can learn from even in the work place.
