This is so sad!!!!.....
DEAD ON ARRIVAL:
Somehow i wanted to overlook this story, but it boils down to marrying a wrong man hence this post.
Earlier today (thursday 6.pm precisely), I went to Itam Park long distance bus terminus where i was expecting a parcel from Lagos.
On arrival I saw an unusual crowd and I decided to get close. Only to find this woman dead and laid beside the young shall grow bus which transported her to Uyo.
I was privileged to ask a co-passenger who boarded same vehicle with her from Lagos to Uyo.
She said the woman's husband brought her to the park alive to board the vehicle. And that He knew the woman wasn't very strong while embarking on the long journey. And had made arrangement with a pastor here in Uyo to pick her and commence prayers.
The woman arrived Uyo alive, stepped out of the vehicle, asked for her luggage to be given to her which the driver obliged. Seeing she was weak, they offered her a chair to sit while waiting for pick-up.. the next thing she fell off the chair and that was the end of her life here on earth.
Minutes later, The Pastor came but was told from a distance that the lady he just spoke with on phone is dead. The man took off and disappeared.
Everyone deserted her but the good Samaritan in me came alive and I decided not to leave her there just like others did. I had to put a call across to the Nigerian Police and they responded swiftly. they came to the scene but my joy was complete when a woman came around and identified the lady as Felicia.. she wept and said Edoh Eke Wod meaning (they married her to kill her)... she has been taken to the mortuary by the Nigerian Police.
But my trouble is, Why will a man allow his wife travel such a long distance alone knowing too well she was sick?
Did he ever love that woman?
Did he know the woman won't survive and decided to send her back to her state for death?
Why didn't he take her to the hospital for treatment?
Oh Lord! help us... My wife is still weeping.
I'm happy i did my best.
Woman I don't know you, But may God bless your soul.
Rest In Peace.
Don't just write R.I.P, the reason i wrote this is for us to learn from it.
Never stay with a man who has no regards for you. if you die he will marry another. Marriage is not by force. You can still make heaven without marriage ooh! Marriage is not a yardstick to measure success.
I speak in anger! if staying single will keep you alive, please stay single and live than to marry and die.
*Well done and God bless you...I hope those that have ears are listening,it is not just about marriage...Do not invest time in someone who has no time for you.He might probably say he didnt have money to take her to the hospital but he could have at least travelled with her....
Very sad indeed.
ReplyDeleteSo sad.

My cousin shared this on her wall on Facebook. Presently she is going through the worst thing any woman can go through in a man's house. The man is not even her husband. Just because they have a child together she want die on top the man matter. She is even going to prayer house to make things work between them, meanwhile guy man has his woman he loves with his life and he tells her to her face. Her family is so irresponsible and shameless, her mum is even in the guy's house. Ngozi, that Calabar man Raymond will kill you and leave your son and he will fuck different women on top your grave. I don't want to disgrace you, I would have mentioned your surname here maybe bv's will borrow you brain. Na only talk you sabi, sense you no get. Tufiakwa gii!
DeletePlease I want to ask...Is it the man, marriage or sickness that killed her? Cause I don't understand.
DeleteWhatever it was, the husband knew she wasn't feeling well and shouldn't have let her make the trip. Even a healthy person would be exhausted after that trip. So sad.
DeleteAnon 16:45, the husband killed her and it's because she was in a bad marriage. If you love someone, you won't make her go through such journey in that condition.
DeleteGod rest her soul
Strange things we do in Africa in the name of "It's Our Culture
Delete1. We care more for the dead than we do for the living!
2. We spend more to bury a person than we do to save their life.
3. We will not travel to go see a sick relative but will travel to bury him and/or her
4. People will rarely respect you while alive but will want to "pay their last respects" to your casket.
5. A person may NEVER receive roses in their entire life but they will get lots dumped on their graveyard!
6. We will spend a night at a neighbour's funeral and it will be our first time to see the inside of their house!
7. No one gives a damn to know your village until you die and they will all fill car after car to "escort" your corpse to the same village
8. We will take the dead to the mosque/temple/church knowing fully well they had nothing to do with worship while alive.Even knowing well that the dead do not worship God
9. We might not have granite tops in our kitchens but use the granite in the graveyard!
10. An entire village might not have a single house with cement floors but the only place with cement will be a graveyard!
We say how dear a person was to us after he died. When he is alive we do not tell him.
It is proposed we have "Cultural Reforms". We have a culture of "hypocrisy"... a culture that is "Pro-death" and NOT "Pro-life!"
We need to value life BEFORE death.
Thanks
Please love me while I am alive, show me your kindness now that I need it, your presence at my funeral will never make up for your absence when I have the greatest need of you. Do it now for me to enjoy.
*The above got me thinking👆? What about you? #copied
You are so daft for asking such a useless question, is it that u can't read or what. No its her grandma, flight and divorce.
DeleteWell. At first reading I would have said the poster does not know the conditions in which the woman was sent. Maybe they did not have enough money and just enough for her to board for prayers. Also maybe they had gone to numerous hospitals but could not afford it. Maybe someone told them this pastor can heal her and he sent her with his last sweat.
DeleteAlas but since that woman identified her and said they married her to kill her, perhaps there is some neglect somewhere. All this is assuming the woman is not just throwing unfounded accusations. My point is there can be many reasons a man would send his sick wife on that trip alone. Whichever way. God knows best. Rip.
So many things happening in marriages now is beginning to scare me... God please help us cos asiri na ama eji maka mgbagbu ghara inu ogu.... May she RIP...
ReplyDeleteNot to laugh about this, my own is why did the pastor disappear? hahahaha pastor with no liver.
ReplyDeleteIt is just a pity. The horseband should be contacted. If it had been the other way round now, the woman will follow the horseband anywhere. Painful. RIP Felicia.
It is a lesson to everyone of us. Marraige does not validate you. It is left for you to validate yourself by helping yourself to be better.
They should hold the HORSEBAND. He is a foolish man and a nonenetity
I wont even agree to go on a long distance journey knowing my state of health ,he can send the pastor money to come if he insist the pastor must pray
DeleteShe's doing war room.
DeleteWhat a sad story.
ReplyDeleteExactly how my mum died after travelling all the way from north east to see TB Joshua of synagogue church. She came back alive but never left the bus alive.
DeletePainful much
Pele.....may her soul rest in peace.
DeleteNne their is something called thrombosis, it can kill. Nigerian are never known to wear TEDS when on a long distance trip , this can give rise to clot formation leading to death.if only we use half the time we spend on social media to educate ourself we won't be spewing such ignorance.
DeleteSorry dear
DeleteThe world is wicked! And we can never know it all. Men and women pretend all the time about their true nature, so sometimes this wicked streak is hidden.
ReplyDeleteGod comfort her family
We don't know the full story, it's just sad the woman can no longer speak for herself
ReplyDeleteRip
ReplyDeleteStella caution ur. BVs, fan emanuel, kidjo, queen of d damn, peacemaker. Etc, to stop d cyber bulling of single ladies on ur blog, it's very bad, part of wat killed Yomi, stop d body and age shaming, it's very wrong, nobody wish to be called dat, God's time is d best please
ReplyDeleteYou would have made a lot of sense if you have spoken nicely but your comment speaks so much about you and made the comment senseless.
DeleteWhoever you are @anon14.42, PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD AND EVERYONE AND EVERYTHING YOU HOLD DEAR, STOP THIS NONSENSE!!!
DeleteLet Yomi rest in peace and quit saying bullying is part of what killed her. PLEASE!!! HABA!!!
I'm not condoning cyber bullying, not in the slightest but stop bringing Yomi's name into this
HAVE SOME RESPECT FOR THE DEAD. Her family reads this blog, mind what you say!!
How is that one killed yomi?? You pots do too much. Stella said she had her personal struggles. Her sister said she had stomach issue. So what are you saying?? Please keep her name put of your mouth
DeleteAnd chikito be warned U Filled with Bile words towards fat women and unmarried women
DeleteShe should not caution anybody, let them continue. He go soon be for them.
DeletePlease yall should let her rest in peace, you lots don't love her more than her mum and siblings. From her comments, she was too happy to be depressed.
Delete15:40 as an idiot you just had to call my name. When u people call single girls gwegs and abuse single mothers nko? Be fat and married thats not my problem. Don't hit the gym and stay fit be using fat as an excuse to insult slim people. *hiss*
DeleteIt's totally shocking and at the same time annoying.....The kind of conscience some men have ehnnnnn....RIP ma'am
ReplyDeleteSo so sad and pathethic. "Never stay with a man who has no regards for you. if you die he will marry another. Marriage is not by force. You can still make heaven without marriage ooh! Marriage is not a yardstick to measure success." Good advice. May God do for you good samaritan what no man can do.
ReplyDeleteGosh, dearest heavenly father, relieve us from stories that touch core. Open our understanding of the mysteries of difficulties that are looking at us in the face.
ReplyDeleteLady, may your soul find test. May your soul find rest.
Evil people everywhere.
ReplyDeleteMay her gentle soul RIP. Amen
Stella is it not in this Nigeria we wey dey? If you talk these women they will call you gwegz, or that you are jealous of their marriage or you want her to leave so that u will come and snatch her husband, some will tell you that shey u too u r married and you want me to leave my own marriage or some thatt will say you want me to come and join your gwegz.
ReplyDeleteIf you leave your marriage where will you stay? Which man will marry her etc
I have never seen my parents exchange words or fight and I remembered my mum interfering in a couple fight that some other women in my estate went to report them to police headquarter in abuja bcos they are police and when police called them husband and wife denied fighting each other even with the physcial evidence of cutlass on her, it made these women and my mum in my estate look bad. Some Nigerian women don't want to hear the truth, sometimes I see their annoying comments here too and in mamalette.
Word on marble......
ReplyDeleteDon't rush into it bcoz others are.
Wait for the right person
That is why I cannot stand anyone who abuses a single lady because of her status.

Oh no!!!! This is extremely saaaad! Obviously, there was nothing like love in their marriage. Prayer abi seek to know whats exactly wrong from the hospital first. Kai! RIPP woman!
ReplyDeleteNa wao so the husband couldn't even travel with his wife despite the fact that she wasn't fine. Husband that doesn't have time for his wife is that one husband?
ReplyDeleteGod4bid....marriage is not by force,,, but some men are just pure evil...I cnt b killing myself in marriage.
ReplyDeleteUhmmmmm
ReplyDeleteSAD story indeed....
ReplyDeleteI feel terrible Stella...I am in a state of shock..
Sweetim😘😘😘😘😘
DeleteJezebel in Male form.... They're everywhere.
ReplyDeleteMy sentiments exactly..Marriage is now a time bomb that startrs ticking immediately you say "I DO" to explode and kill when you least expect it. Marriage is not by force and will not take any to heaven which should be the ultimate goal of everyone breathing air into thier nostrils. Madam R.I.P....a pity your journey in life was cut short all because you decide to build a life with a man. The succor i have is knowing that your blood will be required from him someday.

DeleteHe who has ears let him hear. Some peole will prefer to stay in a loveless marriage and be suffering just so they won't be tagged a divorcee. God bless you good samaritan.
ReplyDeleteRIP to her. It is well.
Anons 14:42 please KEEP QUIET. Dont say what you dont know
ReplyDeleteMay she Rest In Peace. And may the angels embrace her...
ReplyDeleteStella u also have a part to play in cyber bullying when BVs post hateful comments about other BVs you ought not to enable it like in the case of oluyomi. My little cent
ReplyDeleteShut the hell up please....... What has cyber bullying got to do with this post?? Can y'all leave Yomi's name outta your mouths?? How many replies did she get under her comments??now, y'all are forming concerned Bvs..... If you're an old BV, you'll know that she wasn't depressed cos of blog issues, she loved life too much to die cos of cyber bullying..... Allows her rest in peace please, Hian!!
DeleteSometimes i wonder where those BVs got thier mentality and reasoning from...the more i read their poisonous comments and abuses the more i loose respect for them..i only see them as people who just open thier mouth coz they want to be notied for their stupid and controversial comments...thats all the life they have..it makes them feel relevant and a part of something. Sadly, all they gather up for themselves are disrespect and contempt. The lady who dies had more fans and was loved and respected tham them all put together because of her calm and matured nature and comments...dis na pikin wey dem born wella o! Maturity is not by age at all..we have fools who're 40, 50 and even 60 year old..so not really surprised.
ReplyDeletewhen they read this anon comment, they come out and do exactly what we expect them to do...Ya'll watch and see...we cant be wrong...or can we?
I just read this on facebook.
ReplyDeleteNa wa. Heart of man is wicked.
May her soul RIP.
So so Sad, but why will the husband behave that way, and if they caught him now he will start an implausible story.
ReplyDeleteWhen our society see single women above a certain age as cursed or "unwhole". You even see it here on this blog and other SM platforms where someone will say "go and marry" "gwegs"
ReplyDeletePls let us be human. Marriage is not the greatest achievement in life. It is good but it is not do or die.
Sees*
DeleteKai! This is so sad.
ReplyDeleteThis is sad ðŸ˜, God grant her internal rest
ReplyDelete...so what if she's not dead and passed out in a coma. At what point do the public know someone is dead and immediately calls the police to take them to the mortuary. They'll just be standing there taking pictures and saying "this one don die o"...
ReplyDeleteI write this based on the fact that mine was also pronounced dead by the passerbys' and also taken to the mortuary. She was only in a coma and not dead, people need to be patient and stop actually killing the "pronounced dead" in mortuary freezers. There are cases of the bodies pulled out of the freezers with scratch marks all over their bodies cus they were fighting to get out. #sigh
Your last sentence made me shiver.
DeleteYeah Tet
DeleteComa is like a compensatory mechanism for our body. When itencounters too much trauma and stress, the brain will just shut down as a way of protection for the meantime.
It's so sad. Thank God I was also not left for dead when I went into a coma after a car crash.
May her soul rest in peace.
In pains I still wonder if this was what actually happened to my dad Tetrina. People can be so ignorant and shallow.
DeleteYou echoed my thoughts Tet....instead of taking her to the hospital immediately, Nigerians would rather stand and snap pictures. Smh
DeleteSince I got here, I have enjoyed the best medical attention at anytime needed even when I am yet to become a citizen.
ReplyDeleteFor an emergency case like this, just dial 911 and under 3mins they are at your rescue.
God!!! Why cant Nigeria be as other western countries despite having it all.
This poor lady wouldnt have died if we have all the necessary structures on ground.
I dont want to believe the husband didnt love her enough or did it intentionally. It is just so so sad.
May God rest her in peace.😩😩😩
Lets not judge the husband. Maybe theres a genuine reason why he didnt or couldnt go with her. Though its unfortunate the dead can't speak cos she won't be available to tackle whatever her husband said. The dead stay dead. Her people should make enquiries and bury their dead
ReplyDeleteExactly! Thank you jare! We don't av all the facts! You write and attach a picture and then castigate the husband. She may have told him to go back home and be with the kids if they don't av help,he may be the only one bringing in income, he may loose his job if he misses work, she may av told him she was strong enough to make the journey and that she would call if anything went wrong. There are just too many variables! Don't jump into conclusions until u've heard every single side of the story! I'm a woman by the way!
DeleteWe don't have all the facts here.
ReplyDeleteWhat if he loved her?
What if going to see a pastor was her decision? ( women are more into the prayers and vision mumbo jumbo)
What if he had work to do and asked her to wait untill a more convenient time and she insisted anyway?
Well, The passenger was awful nice and R.I.P to the lady.
MISS Jacobs.
We should not be so quick to judge this story without having facts.
ReplyDeletewhile staying in my uncles house before marriage they had 2 houseboys, one had been there for years but they needed a 2nd one to assist him. So he brought another slightly younger than him like 22yrs. Since it was a big compound. Though my aunty or us the females do the cooking
My uncle and his wife travel quite a lot leaving us the kids home, one guy and two ladies mind you we had all graduated and working and I was the youngest then, I was like 21.
So the younger houseboy got sick, they didn't even tell us. We just noticed the elder boy will be taking his food for him in the BQ. So my cousin had to ask him we have not seen this guy in 2days. We now went to see him in the BQ, he wasn't looking good. Immediately the driver took him to the hospital and they said he has ear infection and gave him drugs. 2days after he was still not able to eat etc and looking weak. We now decided we wld take him to a proper ear/throat and nose specialist that my cousin uses the next day.
On waking up we met the houseboys dressed. They said the boy said he wants to go home to calabar to take herbs. They don't believe in taking tablets. We said okay we cant stop you. They both left for the village.
Few days later we were called that the boy died in the village. we were shocked. How will someone die from an eye infection.
We don't know this womans case, perhaps she was ill and her parents sent for her to come to their home state to take traditional medicine and the guy wasn't happy with it. Some ppl their kids will be on admission in hospital and they will tell the hubby to send her down for proper care.
Notwistanding he shld have travelled with her.
Ear infection.
DeletePity. rip felicia
ReplyDeleteIt is well. RIP FELICIA
ReplyDeleteThey say love is blind ooooo, but nevertheless marriage will open your eyes.
ReplyDeleteO lord I commit my marriage in ur hands.
ReplyDeleteSad one!!! Poor woman. Just like that.
ReplyDeleteIt's well.
As for the husband, your excuse (s) for not accompanying your sick wife had better be good.
God rest her soul. 😔
Just like the chronicle 👆 there. Forcing herself on a man who treat you like you don't matter
ReplyDeleteIt is well, may her soul rest in peace.
ReplyDeleteThis could have been me,but I give God the glory,my ex husband the devil, living with him in america was hell,i was so sick he didn't care,he went to is room and locked the door,I begged I cried he didn't answer me ,I had to call people from Nigeria to beg him to take me to the hospital, after all my shouting he finally took me the hospital ,may you die c.o.o I curse u and ur family
ReplyDeleteAnon15:48,you will heal dear. Don't fill your heart with hate and bitterness. Some men are just devil incarnate
Deletethis same thing happened to my aunt in September, 2013. She died in a bus from Abuja to Ogoja. the SOB impregnated another lady three months after and they're still together. This life ehn.
ReplyDeleteMay God deliver us from bad things....Amen
ReplyDeleteA woman of 35yrs lost her life recently not far from where I live. She's lost up to 3 pregnancies the next thing she became sick that no one knows what she was suffering the husband refused her from going to one church or the other except Living Faith for healing. One day, a neighbour went to her house to see her, a plumpy lady has reduced in size to the extent she couldn't stand up, the neighbour quickly took her to the hospital, blood was transfused. She got better and went back home after some few days, she died on their couch and the yeye man could not even tell his neighbours for 2 days until some Hausa neighbours sensed something fishy and got the man arrested.
Now they said her sickness was spiritual but the husband refused to find solution, take her to Benue State - mba!, he didn't, who wouldn't suspect a foul play in her death.
Look and shine your eyes very well before you marry o because some horsebands are being controlled and are evil. PArents should be very careful and try relate with your parents wella in case. No mind the gbagauns.
God d marriage dat wud take my life don't let me enter it baba God na beg I dey beg oh I prefer to be single and live long
ReplyDeleteWhy do we judge people so harshly? Do u know if he has to take care of the kids? Or if he's making money for her treatment? U just stay there and judge him.
ReplyDeleteReally sad. The truth is that we women neglect our bodies so much. I believe the truth will unfold. May her soul rest in Peace.
ReplyDeleteReally sad, but let us not jump into conclusion yet. Her soul rest in peace.
ReplyDeleteShe died of stage 4 cancer
