Nnamdi Kanu Stiff Bail Conditions

Operatives of the Department of State Services, DSS, and men of the Nigerian Prisons Service, DSS, returned the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, back to Kuje Prison after he was granted bail by an Abuja Federal High Court.

The decision shows that until Kanu meets his bail condition, he cannot be set free.

Kanu alongside three other pro-Biafra agitators were whisked away in a green prisons vehicle escorted by four other black hilux vans carrying men of the secret police.
Justice Binta Nyako-led Court had granted the IPOB leader bail on health grounds and the conditions are as follows

-The judge had ordered Kanu to provide three sureties one of who must be a serving senator, a jewish religious leader and highly respected person.

-They must own property anywhere in Abuja

- bail bond at N100 million for each surety.

-Justice Nyako also ordered the IPOB leader never to grant any press interview pending the outcome of his trial.

- Kanu should not be in a gathering of more than 10 persons:

The judge warned that the bail granted the IPOB leader would be revoked if any of the orders are flouted.

  8. What family are you talking about Stella? Same person who wants every non Igbo dead? Was he thinking of other people's families when he was charging his idiotic supporters to 'kill all the animals in the zoo'? These bail conditions are so funny. Hahahahaha. I love the judge.

    1. don't be stupid. How does he want all non igbos dead? Did he bomb non igbo states? Did he take up arms to fight non igbos? What has he done that boko and Muslim extremists haven't done 100 times over?

    2. I am consoled that there are still sensible humans amongst us, anon, whoever you are, God bless you!
Treason is an offence punishable by death, let them hold him even if they don't want to kill him, this Igbo idiot is capable of causing a war and the death of millions regardless of tribe, all you Igbos thinking you've seen a Messiah, Kanu no send una, he has his own agenda and doesn't care how many die to achieve it. Make me the President for a day and I'll order his death immediately, dude is a violent animal and shouldn't be allowed to live amongst humans!

    3. Stupid nina you're already a case study in stupidity. So they should have waited for him to take up arms before doing something about it? You're daft. If that weak Jonathan had done something about Boko Haram in the early stages, we wouldn't have gotten to this point. If Nnamdi did nothing wrong, the constitution wouldn't have a name for his crimes. Treasonable felony is real and the penalty is life imprisonment. Better read up then start praying for Nnamdi your god. Stupid people.

  12. See conditions.... With all these conditions, he's still not a free man. I even read it somewhere that, he refused the bail. That he will only go if they release his co-detainees too. Don't know if it's true.

  13. What kind of lousy bail is that?
She should have just refused him bail entirely rather than make a caricature of herself.
What did this man do to deserve this inhuman and ridiculous treatment from this evil government? This just ruined my day.

God please keep and protect Mazi Nnamdi.....Amen

With these conditions, that shows how stupid our Judges/Justice are. Ndi ara!

  24. Nawa for this Nyako and her cohorts. All these things will haunt this woman one day. Lame bail conditions. The old Papas that have refused to let this man go shall disappear from this planet one by one.

  25. Let me humbly clarify certain things in Anonymous mode.
    1. The reason he has been asked to get a Jewish leader is because that's the religion he claimed he practices. Judaism
    2. He is held up for treason, not armed robbery. Treason and coup plotting are the highest offense possible against a state/nation. Hence the stiff bail condition.
    3. He still has the well withal to incite the public to cause upheaval hence the condition not to have a gathering of more than 10 persons which is to include him.
    4. I also expect he realizes he should in no way attempt to elope from the country while this case is still active, else all those he's sureties would be held liable.

Nigeria is still yet to overcome the plagues unleashed as fallout of the civil war and people think this is a joking matter. Well, it is not... Because if it happens again, the whole country would be set back another 100years. Ask your parents who witnessed it in 1967/68.

This matter has to be resolved peacefully. We Nigerians have suffered for too long but we can,t and should not follow this route.

    2. The only problem is that keeping him in prison makes him a 'hero' to some people. If i were in charge, i will codedly plan an escape for him but ensure he goes into oblivion in that escape . Set my people to b his supporters whilst ensuring he has no access to d outside world. He' ll die slowly from lack of attention.
