WOW!!!!
Good day Stella, hope this meets you well. I am BV ******* (pls hide my ID), and I wish to share the LRD of my second daughter with my fellow bvs.
My pregnancy was very smooth, just that I could eat for Africa, I rocked my bump pretty well
I got tired at 38weeks, so I used castol oil to try and induce labour but the thing no work. My hubby was just laughing at me and later encouraged me to allow baby come at God's appointed time, I grudgingly agreed with him.
Na so I carry belle reach 41weeks o. My manager even wanted me to commence my leave but I told her it wasn't neccesary. So that fateful saturday, I was on night duty, I did all work allocated to me and went on break in the midnight. I got up at 5am to join my other colleagues for our early morning procedures, just to notice that my water had broken. I was so happy!
I padded up and called my hubby to bring my things but I didn't say anything to my colleagues. I took permission to leave early from the head of shift and went to the facility I registered at (maternity section of my hospital was under renovation).
Got there at 8am, all admission procedure done, my dilatation was just 3cm at that time. The labour had to be augmented cos I wasn't really contracting.
I was transferred to the 2nd stage room when I was just 4cm dilated, I wanted to object that it was too early but my spirit told me otherwise. The oxytocin infusion wasn't having the desired effect, and I kept praying and chanting all the psalms I know.
A woman was brought in at around 6pm, apparently she was booked for CS initially but fell into labour naturally while waiting on the ward, her cervix dilated very fast and she was rushed into the delivery room, before I could say 'Jack' she don born.
Chai!
I was happy for her and I congratulated her.
Her pad got finished while she was been cleaned up and I had to give her a pack of pad out of mine. She really appreciated my gesture and said 'Madam, we shall rejoice with you very soon in Jesus' name', and I said Amen.
Lo and behold, it was as if my uterus was waiting for that prayer, that was how this contraction started o, and I started speaking in all the tongues I know. My softie hubby was just looking at me with confusion in his eyes.
The midwife didn't believe me when I called her that I was having the urge to push, I just assumed delivery position by myself, flexed my knees and held my ankles. She quickly ran to me when she saw my seriousness.
My princess came out after the second push, she was so cute and hairy, placenta was delivered after few minutes, I sustained a little laceration and was sutured immediately.
Hubby was just kissing and thanking me, he told there and then that he can't bear to watch me in such pain again, therefore, no more babies.
My baby clocks 5 this weekend and I can't thank God enough for her. Though I still wish to have one more but oga no gree o. So, I don accept am like that.
Pictures of her, her big sis and myself are attached for your eyes consumption only *sideeyesatbvs*
