    2. Exactly ppl, refuse to accept others for who they are, I don't really share my private life, but it's okay if another wants to share theirs, it's no ones business. I am sick and tired of this, people are different,

  7. People don't know that flaunting breeds jealousy and hatred. I don't expose myself and family to these vices. Even one of our houses in Nigeria was trending on facebook, thanks to neigbours who went to take pictures before the gate padlock was installed. I thank God for giving me a husband like me. We are humble with the little God has blessed us with, you hardly know our worth. Make una continue flaunting, una go dey alright.

  18. The vagaries that comes with the advent of social media.

Most of those that showoff do it for validation, to portray a false life that isn't existing!

Trying so hard to be seen and heard at all expense. It's more of a psychological impulsive disorder to create a non existing facade.

  22. I'm not on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram,BBM, WhatsApp et al. If you wanna reach Me, call or send a good old SMS.

I struggle to keep up with what's going on here, I like nairaland and that's about all the 'social media' I get.

All those who have the strength to perpetually show or tell the world their 'business', thanks for keeping the rest of us who don't entertained.

  35. The one that baffles me the most the thanking and celebrations of no of followers on Instagram. Do they pay them for the no of follwers?

  36. Very pertinent question.

  37. Let people be, even though I get his point. Let them post pictures of their moments or how they want to look and let it be ok. Most introverts won't feel the need to post which is fine. Most extroverts will post everything, that is fine too.

As an adult, I know that most 'my life is perfect my hubby is perfect' pics are unreal, but maybe it is the life they wish to have. I am not at all concerned about people showing off wealth and happiness as I am about people who analyze their posts to measure their happiness.

Or people who devote so much time to prove that it is fake or unreal. Just because it makes them feel better about their miserable lives. What are you doing measuring who is really happy and who is not? Or who is really rich and who is not? Let them be. Let them live biko.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Because those people are secretly depressed and need public validation to keep going.

  39. If you ask me, Na who I go ask na?
