ReplyDeleteSometimes I want to berate those who take this way out. But for those who's been through real trials and hell, you'd understand what breaks inside of you the moment you decide this is the only option left.
ReplyDeleteJust last week, I looked at where I was with a degree, brilliant and hardworking to a fault, begged to survive, worked to breaking point and still ended back in the same place I struggled to leave behind and I asked myself.." won't it be just nice to die and finally rest"?
But the one thing I've learned is to have a great support system. People who share your pain and would walk through same hell with you even if they can't offer anything. (my family is mine, so we hold the forte for each other). Please be a support system to someone, even if you can't proffer solutions, be a shoulder to lean on. Believe me, it helps to know there's someone to talk to or cry with.
And if you're the one going through that dark season, please there's no shame in speaking out or asking help. It never hurts to try, don't keep it bottled inside, it might be their rejection that would help you find your own strength.

ReplyDeleteHmmm sometimes life will so squeeze you thatyou will feel like ending it all. My love for my son will not allow me to take this path. Maybe if I didn't have a son I would have gone by now but if I didn't have a child I would not be passing through all what I am passing through. My family would not have rejected me. There is light at the end of the tunnel, I believe in God's time.
