ReplyDeleteI remember once my friend and I quarreled over something. She was still new in Lagos and didn't know her way around. Na so she carry motor waka as she reach VI the car no gree start. And Na her brother car. She now called me. 1st time I no pick, 2nd time I pick. She say ehn say she dey try find where to buy clarins say she hear say e dey VI. I told her. She say ehn say her car don stop oh so Na taxi things say where I dey. I was in balogun for early morning market runs. She say okay say if I dey pass make I stop carry her. I say okay. When I got back to VI I called say she dey KFC for that Mobil filling station. By the time I got there she has gotten bucket of chicken and one of their crushers. She just carry an enter car - 'Ehen see as person neck just dry. I know say you never chop cos u no dey chop for morning everyday. How you wan take get nyash? Toothpick' Me sef told her 'gerrout as you dey like balloon nko dey swell everyday' Na so quarrel take end oh. We went to get mechanic, towed car to workshop. All this time we dey chop chicken cos God know say I was truly hungry.
Later that night she sent a text telling me that she knows some friends who won't have picked her call cos of small quarrel but she knows that I would never do that. Na it I tell her say if she lost for Lagos her mama go hang for my neck say I no fit Abeg. 😂
