    1. I learnt that the lagoon is angry
The state government should give Caesar what belongs to Caesar before things escalates
It's probably a spirit in the water that's calling
This world is beyond the metaphysical
They should do something before the bridge itself collapses
I have said my own oh

    2. They should start arresting them before it get out of hand. They will start doing it intentionally maybe luck can smile at them .

      Attempt doesn't count jare.
That's how someone will go and form jump and rescue won't wait then the will land in water and die still won't come..Fishes will n9w come n be biting their body, still no die...then makoko shit will float and slap the person's face....still no die.. It will now be a hot afternoon when fishermen are resting and d water is hot...
Is now remaining where how to shout help without shit entering their mouth to compound the problem.
      Pls stop trying to die.
It doesn't matter how many attempts, unless God permits, die won't come...just unnecessary discomfort, attention and stress.

  4. So people that are depressed just walk out of their house to the 3rd mainland bridge why not go to the middle of the road so a trailer can crush you to death since you want to end your life!

  7. We are going to station divers on that 3rd mainland bridge. The longest bridge that is causing problems.

May God help people. I am suspecting MMM has gone to sacrifice on that bridge so that members can come and have their monies in the water.

    The Ifa is hungry too.

God help them pls, even those faking it, help them too.

  10. Trust Nigerians to trivialize serious issues. Very soon people will just start driving past when they see anyone attempt to commit suicide on that bridge or anywhere else. Suicide is a very serious issue and should not be an attention seeking avenue.

  11. Hian! This is getting too much. Why that lagoon?

  15. Teebillz. Na I'm start am. Anyone that was caught is an attention seeker, anyone that is serious will do it quick, there are many spots on that bridge that is desolate and before any car can stop you go don enter water.
Suicide attempt is a crime and once you try and don't succeed, you are liable to jail term.

    ReplyDelete
  16. It's not about frustration or things being expensive. Na today? It's spiritual forces that are in play, Lagos Lagoon is hungry, powers of darkness.

  17. Teebliz or Teebills, tiwa's husband started it. In fact he should be arrested. And he that started it no jump o,he was there calling backy on the phone to come and save him before he jump.

  21. The lagoon is angry ke...Yimu. Please let's face facts. There's so much hardship in the country. No light, adequate health care is expensive, food is expensive, everything is just on slow motion, so many unfulfilled promises, businesses are not even moving as they should. It's not by providing numbers to call for those with suicidal thoughts or by rescuing them. It's by giving us a conducive environment to thrive in this country. People didn't do wrong by voting for you all. Stop being concerned about buying bullet proof cars and more houses and focus on making this country better.

  22. I think is time we let them die cos it's becoming a trend

  24. Depression is real and being suicidal is a characteristic of it,but I ve some questions begging for answers...Why do they not jump into the bridge at night,Must they do it in broad day light where there are people to prevent them from taking a plunge into the lagoon,Or is the spirit that's calling them inside the lagoon always asleep by night?
If you like call me an insensitive being na you get your mouth but I know how many persons I've helped out of their depressed state. Jumping into the lagoon is not for the lily livered at all.you've got to ve alot of guts to do it and moreover if someone is really serious about jumping, you can't stop the person because it doesn't take up to 5minutes to jump.So therefore all those that re posing as if they want to commit suicide, should be arrested and jailed for years because they re making it look as if it's ok to kill yourself and encouraging the real suicidal people out there.

  27. Why can't the spirits collapse the bridge ? Or are they not that powerful? Yinmu.

  28. This is becoming beyond ridiculous. Has this turned to one of those beyond stupid Nollywood soaps??

People who truly want to commit suicide do it quietly or quickly, at night, with drugs, in the privacy of their homes, with guns, with razors, with poison etc.

They do not jump 4 buses from Igando to VI, trek to a bridge where others are loitering, selling Gala, jogging and then fling one leg over the rails in a sorry ass attempt to commit suicide.

Please let's not make things more difficult for those who are truly depressed and a balanced precariously on the edge of suicide as it is.

A distinction should be made between those who are truly suffering from this mental illness and those who are running from their responsibilities and looking for a quick way out or a means of attracting attention.

    *deep sigh

    1. This ignorant comment right here is the reason people commit suicide. Nigerians go to church, but have got zero empathy. What kind of attention seeking will make a sane person want to commit suicide? People always talking because they have to say something not that they have something to say.

      Delete
    2. You can join them to go and jump. Nothing concern with whoever want to die. I no dey go church, I no get empathy for attention seekers.
