President Muhammadu Buhari has asked his vice, Yemi Osinbajo, to continue in the capacity of Acting President while he keeps resting .....

Buhari returned to the country on Friday morning after a medical vacation in the UK. Shortly after his arrival, he met with top government officials at the first lady’s conference room of the presidential villa…

Abba Kyari, chief of staff to the president; Babagana Monguno, national security adviser; Lawal Daura, director-general of the Department of State Services (DSS) and Femi Adesina, presidential spokesman; were among those who attended the meeting.

Abdullahi Ganduje, governor of Kano state, and Abdulaziz Yari, his Zamfara state counterpart, also attended.

Buhari expressed gratitude to all those who prayed for him during his time in London, and asked for more prayers.

He said he was feeling better, but still needed to rest.

He retired into his residence at the end of the meeting.

    1. Why not he just resign, since he claims he will be returning to the UK in few weeks?
This man is frail and currently has nothing to offer Nigeria or Nigerians. He should do the honorable thing and resign
But no, he had to rush back cos he knows he will be replaced after 90days... now that he's been away for 7wks and he returns, if he leaves again in two weeks time, his time starts counting again. This hausas must really think we are as dumb...

      Buhari please resign!

    4. Why will he resign when he needs Nigerian money to treat his aliment. That man is very useless to our economy. From day1, he's been spending our money and achieving nothing. He scammed us. We thought he was healthy not knowing he was a dead corpse working..

  17. This man needs to rest.

Can't remember the president or is it PM that resigned sighting health concerns.

African leaders need to understand that presidency is not a do or affair. Buhari needs to resign if he is medically unfit to keep steering this ship called Nigeria.

  22. So as not to exceed the maximum period that is constitutionally allowed for a President to stay away from his country, he had to come home. Well, that's what I think.
Here is to wishing Mr. President a speedy recovery

  30. Was President Buhari undergoing chemotherapy/radiotherapy ? His looks and his hair, just the small part showing by his cap made me suggest this. My mum has just finished undergoing chemo for breast cancer, i'm a bit versed on the subject.
I wish you full recovery sir and let the Balm of Gilead touch everyone in the corners of the earth going through all manners of cancer, please Lord give the scientist and researched divine knowledge to find a cure to this shattering disease in Jesus name ,amen.
My mum as lost one of her breast, though she healed in Jesus name now but my heart breaks everyday for her as i can't begin to comprehend how she feels everytime to she looks in the mirror. I can't cry because i don't want her sadness neither would she break down herself because she does not want her to children to cry either. My mus is still young, she's 55. Oh lord, turn this into joy for us.
