Oshiomhole Becomes Edo APC Leader

Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, the immediate past governor of Edo state, has been appointed as the leader of the APC in the state by the Party's caucus.

Oshiomhole’s choice followed the strong desire of the leadership and members of the ruling party to galvanise the fold and position it on a sound pedestal as well as positively reconcile all aggrieved members.

The decision according to New Telegraph was reached at the inaugural caucus meeting of the party since the coming of Governor Godwin Obaseki held on Monday evening at Government House Benin the state capital. 

Oshiomhole, who addressed the leaders after the unanimous endorsement, expressed appreciation over the endorsement declaring that the performance of governor Obaseki so far in the state is an indication that the leadership of the party did not make any mistake in backing him.
