Senator’s posturing is also reflected on his LinkedIn account and has been previously showcased stated in (an interview with the media)(in media interviews).
The Harvard Kennedy School of Educational Leadership confirmed that Dino Melaye presented himself in November 2016 only for a one-week seminar in leadership. Asked if that qualifies as academic achievement, the respondent said "No," adding that the seminar also doesn't qualify anyone to become a Harvard alumnus.
Following a motion by Senator Ali Ndume asking the Senate’s Ethics and Privileges Committee to investigate allegations that Melaye didn't properly graduate from Ahmadu Bello University in Zaria, Nigeria, Melaye had bragged that he has at least eight postgraduate degrees.
Mr. Melaye has been caught in a major certificate scandal in which Examination Officers at the Department of Geography, ABU, where Melaye took undergraduate classes, confirmed that he did not graduate from the institution. They went further to say that the documents he presented to the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) were manipulated between Melaye his then Head of Department, Prof. David Ogbonna.
The Examination Officers pointed out that Mr. Melaye was registered in the university as "Daniel Jonah O. Melaye," a name they said was neither in the graduation brochure of ABU when his set graduated, nor found in any other graduation document. In particular, the Exam officers pointed to how during his final year, the HOD added 2 course units to boost Melaye's CGPA.
Mr. Melaye had reportedly bribed university officials to produce fake transcripts, on the basis of which he attended a program at the University of Jos, the University of Abuja, and currently at ABU. Several of Melaye's classmates and comrades also disputed his claim that he was a Students' Union Government President at ABU, at best, they stated Melaye was a president of the National Association of Geography Students (NAGS) from where he was impeached for fraud.
Another claim that the Senator studied at the London School of Economics could not be verified as of the time of going to press.

ReplyDeleteNawaao! Anything goes naija.
ReplyDeleteDeep. Who is after him
ReplyDeleteNo be only Melaye alone o. I see many of the so called illiterate elites parading degrees of foreign ivy leagues. I once told myself if they really graduated from these prestigious schools, then earth is square. At most, they went for a few days seminar like Melaye did. They do this and get away with it because majority of Nigerians are still very ignorant and easily carried away by wealth and fame.
ReplyDeleteEven olusegun aganga who was minister of finance under obj and minister of trade under gej that was touted as Oxford trained only took a long distance course in theology or bible studies.
DeleteHe is gleefully asking the senate(his co-fraudsters) to probe him because he knows they wld give him a soft landing. His case shd be tried in court so that it cld be independently verified

ReplyDeleteAnon, stop saying what you don't know. Dino attended ABU but was not serious then, had too many carry overs because he was politically expose then. After 7 years, the school had to graduate them by force. He finish with a pass. Go to the school, the facts are there......and moreover some people weren't serious in the earlier part of their life but later in life got their life on track......
ReplyDeleteDinos life is on track? Come, this toga person, which mental institute dud you escape from? His school said he didn't graduate a nonentity like you say he did, you no well!
DeletePlease tell us, how does an institution graduate students by force?
DeleteWould the institution just award them a degree and send them out?
Would the institution just set up a special exam for them to pass?
If you've seen the certificate of a University, you'd understand why degrees are not awarded fit time spent in the institution but for acquiring the knowledge you came there for. There is no time limit for being a student but schools can advise you to stop wasting money and voluntarily withdraw.
End time liar and fraudster. The deserve this shame for deceiving people and yourself. For all the liars out there, one day one day, the truth will be revealed. One can never run away from the truth forever.
ReplyDeleteKirikiri is waiting for you, sir. ππππππππππ
ReplyDeleteO dikwa egwu!
ReplyDeleteThis Dino's story is almost laughable.
ReplyDeleteHow do we expect a senator to be a graduate while the president don't even have waec result. Certificateless government.
ReplyDeleteToo many educated illiteratea all over Nigeria!
DeleteDino doesn't need to be a graduate to be a Senator, a Governor or a President! But it is a crime to lie or falsely claim what you are not.
Where una go school sef? Na wa!
Hahahahaha
ReplyDeleteDegree through one-week seminar?
ReplyDeleteNa wa!
