a teacher of compassion, love and fearlessness.

My mother is a special part
Of all that’s cherished in my heart,

    She is my pearl, my soul, my mate;
She is the one to make life great.

She is an angel without the wings!

Thank you mom for everything that you have done
    and
    keeping doing for me.
Thank you God for having you as part of my life,
you have taught me many good things,
today what i have become it’s because of you.
Happy Mother's Day to my mom.

    1. I was going to sing a very lovely song to my momm this early morning. She just cut me off with all the husband talk she's been storing inside the cooler.
I've been trying to avoid this for a while (avoiding her and her calls altogether) but this morning being a special one, I decided to recite her her oriki and be all mushy mushy with her. My mom just begin dey talk plenty talk like ehn ehn, God don catch you today.
she don spoil my mood for me, I won't be going to church even.
I made her realise what she's done after her advice and prayers and she's been very apologetic (for the first time). My sisters have also called to beg on her behalf, my immediate elder bro too.
But eh, I'm so holding this tight. I won't let it slide easily, at least be free from husband talk for a long time.

My mum knows the shots that penetrate the right spots. The thing sank into my heart like a bullet. Gosh!

    2. I'm surprised that my mum, despite me being the Ada, is yet to give me the marriage talk. We even live in the same house and she has never mentioned it even once. I guess It's cos she knows how I'd react and she doesn't want my wahala

I have been sad lately bcos of my inability to pay my school fees,i have been trying to raise the money but it's as if am not doing anything to help myself. I know how some people never believed that i will ever go back to school but God did it and each day they are just waiting for me to fail and drop out of school but i know my God will not allow me to. Today i woke up being grateful and thankful to God and i have decided to go to the house of the Lord and dance like David. Kisses to u all

  37. While people celebrate Mothers' Day, it only brings memories of that love I lacked as a child. Mum left when I was 2, came around when I lost my younger sister and disappeared again. I've been through hell and back. Had a step-mom who bluntly told me she came to marry a husband and not me included. Dad was barely around too. In my time of sickness, I cry and no one knows for fear of been labelled a liar or lazy child. Dad tried his best when he was around. I starting making my own meals at the age of 6. I'll wake up early, make my breakfast and also take some food I could eat during evening lessons. Dad tried to protect me when he could. When I experienced my first menstruation, he was the first to know. He taught me how to calculate my period. It must have been hard for him to see me go through those things. I also read books such as "Every woman", watched TV series like "I need to know". I can't tell it all but I'm happy I'm grown, and stronger. I thank God I didn't learn things from the wrong people, bcos I was really vulnerable. I'm 27, my mum is alive but our relationship is almost non existent. She has another family now. I was even the one that went to look for her. Anyways, to my unborn child I already love you so much even though you haven't arrived and I haven't met your father yet. I want to be your best friend. I want to share your pain and joy. I want to be the first to know about just anything about you. Call me anytime, wake me at midnight, and we'll talk about it. I will be the best mother in the world for you. Together, with your father we'll make a God family. I LOVE YOU!

    2. I celebrate the fact that you chose the right way to life, so many other girls would have allowed themselves be misled and blame it on not having their mother around.
I know what it is to not have a mother around, I lost mine to the cold hands of death when I was 9 and I still feel the emptiness every day; there are times I just wish I could confide in her and listen to her advice, I miss her directions every step of the way.
I like your mindset and I can see you becoming a great mother, happy mother's day.
