Pinnick seeks a place in the Executive Committee of the Conefederation of African Football and he is also the arrowhead of a group trying to unseat the current CAF boss, Issa Hayatou.
Maigari counselled his fellow administrator to be diplomatic in his attempt to play politics on the international stage but one of his primary responsibilities is to ensure the Super Eagles make it to the Mundial slated for Russia. He said Nigerians would not forgive Pinnick if he gets into the CAF Executive Committee and Eagles failed to make the cut for the World Cup. “It is good to do politics but of what value is it when your team does not qualify for World Cup for instance.
The most important thing for us is to make it to the Mundial in 2018. We have to put our acts together and make sure that happens. We should not concentrate so much on election and leave out the important thing.
