  16. That is how they start sleeping with their daughters. It starts by them calling their daughters their girlfriend then from there they will start giving their daughter what they give their girlfriends.

  18. Naaah! This explanation isn't well "aligned", it is terrifically lopsided. We all have had slips of the tongue one time or the other. We'll probably still have slips sooner or later, that's inevitable. What a grown a** man does when he has a slip of the tongue, is to correct the slip and say exactly what he meant to say.

What I find curious is, he didn't credit the "error" to being a slip of tongue, which quite honestly, could be the only plausible explanation. He is claiming that it was intentional, because he calls his daughter "my girlfriend". If that were the case, he would have said it with confidence and if he gets the awkward glances or giggles, he would have smiled and said "that's my daughter, by the way." or something to that effect. Rather, he smiled sheepishly then giggled like a kid who was caught with his hand in the cookie jar.

This seems like an afterthought, a poor shot at damage control. Too much time has passed. If it were a slip of tongue, the normal reaction would be to laugh at the obvious wrong perception, then correct himself immediately. Of course, some skeptics would still give him the side eye because out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. However, that defence will still be tenable. I'm of the considered view, like most people, that he unintentionally gave himself away and the backlash was epic! I can almost imagine the drama or cold war that ensued at the home front. ‎Unfortunately, this explanation is counterproductive. It only makes him appear more "guilty".

Personally, I'm not a fan of parents calling their kids "my girlfriend" or "my boyfriend", regardless of the age of the child or children. I find it distasteful and a tad creepy. Perhaps it's  because of all the horrible and sick individuals I have been forced to cross paths with because of my profession, I can't help but be biased. Too many sickos raising innocent children and the sad part is, they seem like normal parents but their depravity can stun even the devil himself.‎
