    1. Well, she should still grateful they gave her. If dem no give am nko? Will she sue them to court? Hell no!

Atleast there's hope she will be rewarded by the state and possibly her own state too and she's guaranteed a good job.

Big brother naija and co are strictly business shows and yoy can be sure they will make five times their entire capital.

    6. Pls Dnt see it dat way. Most of these awards have been stipulated since a long time ago when naira was still valuable, probably in the '80s,even some of the people that gave the awards might be dead by now so there is no review 9of these awards. But Ofcus if its a new award, nobody can give dat ridiculous amount of money.

Call on ur Minister of education and ur President stop bringing bbn into the matter. I don't see the correlation.
And if one is so bothered about it they can like to set up a foundation and honor academic achievements. Bbn is privately run so Nth stops the complainants from being useful with their money!

I was the best paediatrics student in that school some years back, I didn't get any prize oh..Primaries will soon expire yet no residency space even in their center because I probably don't know anyone to help.. It didn't count for anything at all.. I feel so sad when I remember..Hardwork hardly pays in this country

    ReplyDelete
  24. It wasn't the school that gave the money
It's paediatrifs association of Nigeria that gave the 250 naira

  25. Can you imagine that the #250 even took them 2 whole years to gather. What a shame........why did she even bother to collect it......

  27. #250? Maybe there is a mistake somewhere. Maybe he meant #250k. 😆

My own is Kemi matter. She was granted bail, yet a higher court still arrested her? No doubt money has exchanged hands!

Where is the forgiveness pastors preach about and praying for our enemies? And telling us giving of bribe is wrong? The comments from many believers is unbelievable! This attitude by the pastor will only hardened kemi's heart to dislike Christainity more. Then how can we bring people to Christ with these nonsense attitude displayed by pastors in Nigeria? Mschew.

  28. Same thing happened to my sister in UNIPORT. BEST GRADUATING STUDENT IN ECONOMICS..THEY GAVE HER 250 NAIRA PLUS HER NAME WAS NOT MENTIONED ON THE CONVOCATION DAY INSTEAD A STUDENT WITH 2.1 WAS HONORED INSTEAD OF HER AND ANOTHER GUY WHO CAME OUT WITH FIRST CLASS..NIGERIA IS A BANANA REPUBLIC..

  29. We need a serious overhauling of all our sectors, the dearth is near if serious caution isn't taken.

Is the money meant for biscuits or chewing gum?

    ReplyDelete
  30. believe it or not.... it's very true. I graduated 2015. the best student in my department was given same prize of 250 naira. that is, after the stress of going to collect the prize o. the thing is that, long ago, when our naira still had value, that was the prize. till today, they're still using the same amount. they have refused to see that things have changed and as such the prize money should b reviewed and made attractive...A friend of mine that graduated last year as BGS of her dept didn't bother going for the prize sef.

  36. But seriously is it a must for them to give her a "prize"?

    ReplyDelete
  37. These students are really stupid! Isn't it money? Did anyone promise a pot of gold as reward when they complete their course? Until this generation realize money is not the goal we can't progress as a nation. All these comments are all from these misguided people who lack home training. If they had a little home training. The first thing is to thank the giver no matter how small the gift is. It is still a gift. Ingrates all of them!!! I'm sorry for Nigeria.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Jesus Christ, I thought I saw 250k. I saw 250k by default till I started reading comments. The last 1st class medical laboratory scientist in UNICAL was offered 10k. The guy didnt even bother going, the "prize" won't even be enough for his transport to and from Abuja, even if he used a bus. I've long realized,I'm on my own in this beloved country of mine.Waiting for anyone to reward or encourage me is a waste of my own precious time. I'd keep working hard and smart till I become successful. The successful ones don't have two heads. For the nerdy ones, once you get into school apply for and get scholarships...I had 2 while in school. For those who don't really like books,do something else, use your talent, just do something.... 9ja is set by default to help you fail, don't let her win.
