BasketMouth said this on Friday, while picking up his stolen mobile phone, recovered by the police from the burglars that robbed him last year .
The phone was presented to him by the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Fatai Owoseni.
“I want to thank the Nigeria Police for a job well-done. I thought I will never see again the items stolen from my house,” BasketMouth said.
“It is amazing that with two weeks of the robbery attack, the suspects were arrested, my handset recovered.
“I usually make negative jokes about our police, but with this performance, I will never use them for negative jokes. I advise members of the public to always support the police.
“In western nations, it is the public that assists the police for information against criminals,” he noted.
Owoseni, while presenting the handset, said that BasketMouth’s visit was symbolic, stressing that his appreciation will boost the moral of his officers.

ReplyDeleteGood for him.
ReplyDeleteOk we Don hear Mr proud.
ReplyDeleteEye service from police
ReplyDeleteEeyah
ReplyDeleteWell, Its expected of you to say this just because they worked in your favour man.
ReplyDeleteExactly
DeleteWell, I tend to consider his jokes on them as his form of criticism and enlightenment. They need to know that this is how we feel about them and their services so that they can step up. The state of the Nigeria Police is deplorable and very saddening. A fact you discover after you have an encounter with them. Commend them, yes. But to not speak out anymore over just this? He is a high profile public entertainer and it's probably why he got the efficient part of their services. I don't have enough fingers to count on both hands people who this month alone have had such or worse situations and the police didn't or wouldn't do anything or much for them. My take anyways.
ReplyDeleteGood
ReplyDeleteUmmm those who robbed us at home last year and carted off phones and all haven't been caught so sorry if I don't share your new found infatuation for the Nigerian Police.
ReplyDeleteYou can't be conclusive based on one good outcome . The Nigerian police should be consistent. It is their job.
ReplyDeleteGood for him.. We all know why he got them back but since I am not a whistle blower I will just keep quiet..
ReplyDeleteWell done, police Biko na everybody or only celeb
ReplyDeleteThe phone was presented to him by the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Fatai Owoseni.
ReplyDeleteHahahahahahaha..... The commissioner took out time to present the phone by himself because of the person involved, Basket mouth. Oya now, let one Iya alata by the roadside misplace her phone let's see if Mr. Commissioner will be the one to present it to her upon recovery. Yinmu 😏.
Basket, you better keep doing you.
Basketmouth don born again.......we must give it to our police, they work sometime when they really want to work........welldone to them
