American Prof Rachel Dolezal Changes Her Name To Nkechi Amare Diallo

Rachel Dolezal, the former head of Spokane, Washington’s NAACP chapter who faked being black until she was outed by her parents has given herself a new Nigerian name.

Rachel Dolezal is now to be officially known as Nkechi Amare Diallo, which means ‘gift of God’ in Igbo language:

Legal documents obtained by DailyMail.com show. Diallo, meaning ‘bold,’ is a last name of Fula origin. The Fula people are a Muslim ethnic group thought to have roots in the Middle East and North Africa, who are now widely dispersed across West Africa.

Dolezal, 39, was a prominent activist for black people and a lecturer in African American studies in Washington. Dolezal acknowledges that she is ‘Caucasian biologically,’ but says she identifies as black. She said that she ‘began to see the world through black eyes’ as a teenager after her parents adopted four black children.

  4. Nkechi isn't Gift from God. Nkechi wich is short for Nkechinyere means given by God... Onyinye means Gift from God... they should get their facts and translations right.

    1. You are wrong too. Onyinye in this context means gift while onyinyechi means God's gift.

  5. I remember this lady who was 'caught' claiming to be of African descent when she wasn't. Well changing her name doesn't change her heritage. But I'm happy she's a strong advocate of our culture.

  11. This woman, eh , controversi too, lol, and it's a good one.

However she is so blackkkk, starting from the inside. It was a shocker when her parents came forward bc of her excesses against the Caucasian race that she be white as in oyibo proper, no black blood from either side of the family. She come accept the claim too. But at first she did misrepresent her race; that was so deceptive. Apart from that , she be darkie in the spirit and in the physical, though her DNA ns oyibo.

  15. As long as she is not hurting anyone, she should be allowed to be who she wants to be. There are plenty of Oyibo wannabes in Naija nau, so because one of them wants to be like us, it is now strange, mtcheew. Make she come learn our language well, well and chop our food and marry from our side. Nky baby, you are welcome!

  16. Hmmmmm its good sha at least its coming from a white woman

  17. Welcome home, baby. After all, humanity started from MAMA AFRICA & all persons on earth today, in spite of color variations, are "AFRICANS" though some of the ignorant minds will tell you otherwise. Yet, we know why. Even science supports this claim so take it to the bank. QED@atm
