Woman Begs Judge To End Childless Marriage So That She Can Try Her Luck Elsewhere

Eyaaaaaah

A housewife, Mrs Omolara Adeyemi, On Monday prayed an Idi Ogungun Customary Court, Agodi, Ibadan, to dissolve her 11-year-old marriage on the grounds of her husband’s inability to impregnate her.

Omolara told the court that her husband, Moradeyo, refused to make enough effort to get her pregnant since they got married in 2006.

She said that Moradeyo refused to take doctor’s advice on how he could overcome low sperm count and impregnate her.

She said, “In stead, he flirts around. He can spend weeks outside, abandoning me in the guise that he is engaged.

“I pray the court to separate us so that I can try my luck elsewhere in a bid to get pregnant and have a child.

“I cannot allow another man to sleep with me as long as I am still married to him.”

Moradeyo, however, denied the allegations and told the court that he was not ready for divorce.

He pleaded with the court to allow him and his wife to go home and resolve the matter amicably.

The Court President, Chief Mukaila Balogun, advised the couple to involve their family members in the resolution.

He adjourned the case to Feb. 27 for report of settlement.

  1. The woman has a point

If he's not ready to get help and cure his low sperm count, then the marriage should be dissolved before the man wastes all her time in a fruitless marriage.

    1. I think companionship and love supersedes reprocreation. So many have stayed more than 11years with their partners still hoping on God. To me she doesn't have a case at all

    3. Really? If there is love, he would have understood his wife's heart desire and he would have taken medication .Marriage is concerted effort, not a 1 sided relationship. Im sure he took his wife foe granted or his ego didn't allow him believe the doctor 's report. His kind of man would rather not go for checkup. Had he known the result before hand. Better to sit and allow the woman take blame or believe its her fault.

    1. Most men have erection without active sperm cells which is the worse while some with little or no erection have more active cells than dead cells/with good sperm mortility.I guess the husband has low sperm count and not erectile dysfunction.

But oga landlord has 3 children with other women. The children, age 13, 12 and one is on the way( she don't know about this one ohh). She recently found out about the 13 and 12, say 4 months ago. How did she find out? She got back home from travel and sow the 13 years old in her sitting room, she asked who the lad was and oga landlord started explaining. Hmmm...
Oga-madam cried ohh, she was broken.
She was lamenting that, so he could hide such a thing from her ehn?! For 5 years!
There was blows that night o.
Oga na ikwerre man, madam na abia state.
    The wahala lingered oh!
The foolish man kept that lad in his house for weeks. Playing 'daddy dearest' every moment with the lad. Madam body just dey pepper her.
At first I was like 'make madam calm down na, oga na im get house...'
For wia! Brethren, during one of the confrontations, I heard madam shouting... " I bought this land and built this house with my sweat, so you and you daughter cannot make me uncomfortable in my own house!"
Choi! So the land, house and car he was using to chase woman that time was madam own? Hahahahahah....
So, oga had to beat madam (landlord) to coma that evening.
Madam came around days later, her. Sister was begging her to leave the sham of a man but madam landlord Say "I still love him".
E no reach anada one month he still beat her again. Yet, she keeps loving.
The beating was too much, I gats pack out.

  9. If the man is not ready to cooperate with the woman he should free her, before his people will start labelling her as the cause of the problem, she has made her point

  10. Have you all noticed that when a woman asks for divorce (with infidelity accusations too) and the man disagrees, the Nigerian court will tell them to involve their family for resolution. But if it were the man that asks for divorce (with infidelity accusation), he's granted without the resolution talk. Smh.
The woman is clearly unhappy, give her what she wants.

    1. @Her Royal Majesty, sweetie, that's a misconception. It doesn't matter if the petitioner is a man or a woman, once either party tells the court that he/she doesn't want the marriage dissolved, the court, by practice and procedure, will always allow the route of reconciliation to be explored. ‎

Generally, courts, especially the customary courts,‎ will only grant a petition for the dissolution of marriage where it is clear that the marriage has broken down irretrievably and there's zero hope for reconciliation. Once the most remote flicker of hope for reconciliation shows up, either by one party professing love for the other or praying the court not to grant the petition because he/she isn't ready to end the marriage, the court has no choice than to adjourn for report of settlement. On the day the matter comes up for report of settlement, if reconciliation fell through and the petitioner, male or female, still insists on the dissolution, the court will grant the petition and dissolve the marriage.

The worst that can happen if either party doesn't want the divorce, is a delay of proceedings. Eventually, the court will grant the petition unless the petitioner withdraws the petition.‎

  12. Yeah she's wise, the woman is even managing the guy that can't procreate and he is still been a community penis, thunder strike the man!. Abeg the woman must be freed so she can floss and carry her own babies, time waster since 2006. Naija men are really annoying, i mean you know you are not complete are you not suppose to be worshipping your partner that is managing you??

  13. Just tied the woman down there

  14. I can understand how this woman feels, everyone will blame her for not having children forgetting the man might just be the causer of their being childless.

In my own case, been married for 10years now, we have done everything in the book that has to do with fertility treatments except IVF, still nothing. I will not give up yet.
