A gossip is a person who habitually retails private scandalous or sensational and often inaccurate information. Gossip destroys reputations and friendships. More often than not, it keeps others from opening up and getting the help they need. The Bible expresses a grave concern of the word gossip with murder (Rom 1:29). It may not be your intention, but your words can break somebody's heart. It's no big surprise when people gossip at social and economic places such as beauty/ barbing salons, community parks/events, shopping malls, plazas and markets or in the workplace, but how about the church/fellowship? It's just not so obvious there because we're experts at disguising it. For example, a friend confides in you about a marriage issue, or their child's emotional challenge, and what do we do? Most times, we call the prayer chain, 'share it' under the guise of asking for prayer. Apostle James takes a tough stance concerning gossip, 'If anyone … does not keep a tight rein on his tongue, he deceives himself and his religion is worthless' (Jam 1:26). Why does God come down so hard on gossip? His candid opinion shows that certain Christians can't be trusted; that somebody with a problem is safer in a social group than in church. Have you ever noticed how gossip travels faster on grapevines that are sour? Again some of the worst offenders are Christian leaders seeking to impress their peers by divulging details of somebody else's struggles. If you see this tendency in you, you may need to pray fervently 'Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD' (Psalm 19:14).

She told me how she loves her Phonics teacher and I asked her to tell me some of the things Mrs xxx teaches her in Phonics. She started by spelling 'Apple' and then told me she will spell it using sounds, I said ok. She started 'Arr po po .....I started laughing, if you see how serious she was ehn, The kind of energy she used to say the letters and the way she nodded her head and moved her lips while at it. I asked her to spell other things using sounds and I had a good laugh.

@Olori I wish your sis quick recovery. Thank God for life. I had two of my sisters in a similar accident on new years day few years ago. The 24 hours that followed were the worst of my life till date. One went in for an immediate surgery and the other was in coma. People who saw the accident happen rushed to carry corpse because they thought it was over. But today both are hale and hearty. So don't worry she will be alright. Car can be replaced, life can't.

I don't want to sound ungrateful cus he has done quite a lot with her so I'm believing him for total healing. I mean, we've come so far from the days she would shit herself and not even know she has, because that cognitive part of her brain wasn't working.
ReplyDeleteMum would cry and and shout to God this is not the daughter she gave birth to, her daughter can't be a vegetable.
She's had to learn to walk again, write again, hold things again. She can't see properly see with her left eye but I can say she's like 85% better. She can walk, talk (but her voice sounds totally different now), bath, go to the toilet etc. I remember the early days when she came out of the coma, she won't sit in any car. We have to cajole her and she'll cower, and bend so low like she's hiding.
When she came out of sleep, after asking which year we were in, she said she saw Jesus and God. That Jesus talks too much but God the father is really quiet. He doesn't speak unless to instruct. She said most times God will say he's tired of the world and it's time, but Jesus will plead and ask for a little more time.
Which is why I thought since they had all those conversations, he'll have made her recover asap but it's taken 5 years and counting. It'll be 6 years this summer.
Like TGW said, makes me wonder how many lives have been lost through mortuary freezer. If only we are patient enough, maybe they would also be alive to tell their story but people passing by would just see an accident victim and pronounce them dead at the scene.
This was when I believed there's things out there we don't and can't see. Let's learn to love and appreciate one another, life is too short.She had her whole life head of her but.....Just know you may be here this moment, and the next moment, disaster!

ReplyDeleteI was the mother who complained about her 12 year old daughter not seeing her period regularly, and i was advised to be patient. I waited until she became 13, nothing for a whole year. I went to see a gynecologist, she said, i should be patient, if nothing when she is 14, i should come back. So I did when no single drop of blood for another whole year. This time, i went to see another gynecologist when she became 15 year old. They did hormonal imbalance test and others, it all came out negative. They did scan, nothing was found. She was placed on birth control pills. After three months, her period came and it has been regular, she will be 16 soon. I am so happy and relieved. Thank you God! I am writing this, maybe it will help someone out there.
