This will be wonderful
ReplyDeleteGood job!
DeleteVery neat
DeleteWill it last? As maintenance culture is our greatest problem in this country.
DeleteHehehe na real , will it last as per, maintenance culture! Kikikikkikikikiki
DeleteUnfortunately, Lagos isn't about esthetic view or outlook. Danfo survives Lagos because it's an old VW minivan that can run through a dersert and still have no issues. This ajebo minivan Ambode is introducing won't last.
DeleteWith all these potholes in Nigeria..omo kolewerk
DeleteJust 6months and you won't recognise these buses again.
ReplyDeleteLagos is so crowded and the roads are fucking bad.
I dey tell u.....
DeleteRoads in Nigeria are so bad and those are one of the things killing vehicles
DeleteVery true
Delete💯💯💯
DeleteExactly.
DeleteNigerians will always complain. So what's your point? They should scrap it? Are new things not meant to get old? Is it not in that same lagos road that people drive Porsche and Bentley? Ndi igbo si na agaghi eji mgbagbu ghalu ogu. You cannot run away from battle because of death from bullet.
DeleteHope these buses will be maintained on a regular basis!!! You are right chi lagos roads are no joke!!
DeleteSincerely...
DeleteAre these not innoson vehicles? Just asking o, looks like his product sha. Good power
DeleteSame thing I was about typing
DeleteTrue!
DeleteBut the buses are cute though...
Maintenance will be the major problem
Anon 10:06 thank you. Nigerians will always complain of anything the government does for even better the people lives. However I hope they won't give those agbero the bus to drive because those Guys are but bit amateur drivers.
DeleteThey are not complaining, they are just saying the fact.
Delete@Crystal no they aren't. Innosson has IVM emblem
DeleteIf u can still recognize the BRT buses, then I'm sure these will be in good shape. Ambode is really working. Lagos will be a heaven for all soon
DeleteWhat will happen to the danfo drivers?
ReplyDeleteNice of the governor
DeleteExactly. Will they be employed?
DeleteAll I see is the millions earned by the contractor that supplied these buses, Choi! Why is my hubby not friends with Ambode bikonu. Anyway we should send a proposal to fct minister asap.
DeleteThey'll be scrapped
DeleteI hope the Danfo drivers won't add up to the number of rogues we have already.
DeleteThey will be employed to drive these new buses
DeleteThis is a nice concept and a wonderful ride, but what would happen to the danfo rides?? How many people would go out of business? And wont crime increase on the long run. They have demolished all containers too. But if we want CHANGE, we have to sacrifice alot.
ReplyDeleteThey should move to Ogun state
DeleteWe don't want them in my state pls.
DeleteWhat job did they put in place for those danfo drivers and conductors? Increased crime rate calling...
ReplyDeleteAnd to think that the high rate of crime is being perpetrated by them. God help una
DeleteIf they can absorb them into their programmes, making them part of those that will drive and conduct people into those buses, given them the right training on how they want this buses to be managed and maintained.
DeleteWell the bus won't drive itself now would it? I'm more concerned about the state of some roads. The roads are so terrible and may in turn cause damage to the bus.
DeleteDamfo drivers shouldn't be qualified to drive these, else same spirit will be transferred and the buses will be beyond recognition in 5 months
DeleteThis is what that(driver/conductor) training that trended last year is for.If the drivers can submit themselves to the training, they will be employed na.
DeleteCome check these buses after 3 months. Transport fare will increase
ReplyDeleteCome check these buses after 3 months. Transport fare will increase
ReplyDeleteAll this soft buses? Lol. They just want to waste money. Buses that can't stand the road along cele to 5 star.
ReplyDeleteNice one
Babes where u dey stay along that area..I stay in ago palace
DeleteI ply that road almost every time i'm in Lagos o.
DeleteAgo palace? Very dry place, no vex o
So far those danfo drivers are qualified drivers with valid drivers licence they can apply and be employed in the eco friendly bus scheme. I don't know about the conductors cos no hanging for this chasis bus
ReplyDeleteDanfo drivers to drive these? Do u see the way they drive? Lol
DeleteTata...?? Rubbish....when will we learn that nothing from India can move us forward...has Tata solved the transportation problems in India before coming to Nigeria?
ReplyDeleteAt first, I thot you meant a baby @ Tata but when getting to the second paragraph, I then understood! That's a valid point you just made!
DeleteI want to blv there routes the gov't will still allow the Danfo drivers to ply, cuz a lot of people will be out of job if care is not taken.
ReplyDeleteI hope it is not the same danfo drivers that would drive them
ReplyDeleteI hope it is not the same danfo drivers that would drive them
ReplyDeleteNigerian government will always start what they can't finish.
ReplyDeleteWhen another govt comes in ,this will be phased out just like the red colour BRT that no longer use the BRT lanes. Well if the danfo drivers are incorporated then its a welcomed idea for the time being..
ReplyDeleteMega city *yimu*
ReplyDeleteMega crime city loading
Several things should be set in place before this rule is enacted.what would be done about the danfo drivers to avoid an increase in crime rate.
ReplyDeletewow!! thank God o, there will be drastic reduction in one chance kidnapping. But then again something must be done to accommodate those danfo drivers and conductors, if not Nigerians will still pay for it on the long run.
ReplyDeleteHow about the current danfo drivers are given uniforms that will make them feel more responsible and drive sanely.. also a very strict rule of 'scratch the car and your pay gets cut' must also be in place, I think they can be tamed to behave better.... Or what yll feel?
DeleteThis is good! But what will now happen to the danfo drivers, i hope they will not be scrap as well?
ReplyDeleteOne month they will turn to Danfo buses again. Governors know how to milk their states shah. Good strategy to chop money
ReplyDeleteNigerians lack maintenance culture. the buses go turn molue soon
ReplyDeleteIn as much as I see it as a welcome development, would suggest, the government should find a way of not totally taken the danfos off the road, whether will like it or not they also have roles to play in making transportation easier for the populace. But if the government fail to consider the danfos and work out as arrangement for them, they might spiritually knockdown the engine of these new buses and we go back to square one. A world is enough for the wise.
ReplyDeleteWhat's d difference between this and brt buses????
ReplyDeleteThank you Jesus.. the traumatic one chance experiences with this mad danfo drivers will reduce.. thank you jesus
ReplyDeleteThis is a good one coming from the state government but what are the modalities to maintain and sustain these buses. Let it no be another 'white elephant' project.
ReplyDeleteKudos Gov. Ambode. But i hope this scheme would last oo.
ReplyDeleteI remember LSTC buses back then in the 90s. We would ride for free as school children.
May God Almighty have mercy on Nigeria and make things better like it used to be.Amen.
Nice one, thos danfo drivers re reckless. Lagos I not for everybody!!! Those that can cope should relocate
ReplyDeleteLovely concept by the Ambode regime, all those motor park touts known as agbero and their Oga's that sit down waiting for delivery will be eradicated, let me see how they will survive. They better go and be learning hand work now ooooo. Thumbs up Ambode!
ReplyDeletethis is a good concept but the best thing will be to give it to danfo drivers but first clean them up make sure they are getting a good pay and hopefully this works out. steady maintenance as well.
ReplyDeleteAmbode should do it in phases or what do they want those bus drivers to be doing after taking them off the road. Please, there's recession now, lagos state should involve the danfo bus drivers so that crime rate doesn't increase ohhhhhh.....na beg
ReplyDeleteI hope the danfo buses will not go into extinction, if so crime rate will shoot up o, abeg our dear Gov Ambode pls let the danfo still be working o,so poor people won't increase o
ReplyDeleteF O
Wow this is beautiful ..Imo state govt should emulate ..
ReplyDeleteWill it carry load like danfo, tomatoes et all from market to homes. Abeegi
