Service Year Boulevard 87

Wow,Rueben Abati is this you?LMAOOOOOO

My dearest stella, thanks for this great platform to share our service year experience.First of all,my condolences goes to your family (in-laws) who lost a beautiful soul recently and RIP to your mother in-law who was committed to mother recently.
"Kann Gott weiterhin Ihre Handarbeit und mehr Fett zu Ihrem Elbow zu segnen.Sie sind in der Tat von vielen einschließlich mich geliebt".

To my main gist,it is a bit lengthy but just pardon me.I am a young man close to my mid 30s.I schooled in Benue state, spent close to 7years in school due to incessant external, internal strike and unnecessary breaks. My youth service call-up came very late and besides I couldn't go with my mates due to some delays from my department.Apparently my service year was full of God's favour.

Before my service year,I was really hoping to serve in Abuja or Lagos state.Lo and behold! God used a senator to bless me,i was asked to choose between Lagos state and Abuja for my service,I had to choose Lagos state because I was used to Lagos lifestyle.I was in Owerri when our call-up letter came out,I had to rush down to Makurdi the next day.

As soon as I got to school to check my name on the notice board,I saw some students jubilating and equally crying.Lo and behold!i saw my name posted to Lagos state.I kept calm, though i was excited.I gave God all the glory.I rushed back to Owerri the next day to get prepared. There was a flight delay when I was leaving Owerri for Lagos due to bad weather (rainy season).lest I forget,my service year was in 2012.

My flight arrived Lagos very late,I picked a cab direct from Ikeja airport to Iyana Ipaja camp,it was already dark but I had to proceed with my registration.

I didn't experience anything like frog jump or luggage carrying on the head while checking in at the entrance gate, maybe the soldiers thought every corper sent to Lagos camp is an "ajebutter" or a minister's son or daughter lol!.

I noticed many people were calling me Mr Macho and Mr NYSC right from camp gate including the vendors across the road and the soldiers at the gate.Hmmmm! I was just wondering why were they tagging me as one,was it because of my physique or "ugly face"? Though I felt so.Not that I was the finest or the sexiest in camp so why the fuss.Lol! Though I was very sweet and okay as a dude.

I finished my registration that same night and I was given a bunk in the hostel. It felt so good to be paired with "soji" guys in the same room, most of them were UniBen graduates and Unilag graduates.
The whole camp ground that night was so messed up due to heavy downpour that very day.Unfortunately,I lost one of my phones that night due to "rush rush o",i tire o!

welcome to Eko oni baje.

As I was standing in the queue to take a passport for proper documentation, some corpers were pointing at me,calling me Mr Macho, some were even saying they would want me to be in the same platoon with them thinking you can select a platoon by yourself. But honestly, the attention I was getting that night made me uncomfortable and a bit shy though I was a quiet soji guy o!

Next day,we woke up very early for our morning drills and parade.I concluded my registration and my NYSC kits were given to me. I had to reshape my khaki o and I sewed another Khaki with swag on top.My jungle boot and white sneakers were all undersize to me,i had to exchange them for my real size 45".

Life in camp was fun to me,i enjoyed it to the brim.I made a lot of friends and also participated in many camp activities.I contested for Mr Macho eventually,i was 2nd runner-up.I represented my platoon (platoon 7) very well.I was more like a local celebrity in camp.
Nevertheless,I didn't have any camp boo but I had a crush. The babe no gree date me o,she said she doesn't have the strength for my kind of person, she is very emotional and can't cope with seeing me with many girls in camp and she also thought I was a playboy or an unserious dude hmm!I told her they were just there due to my popular status in camp and i didn't know the babe was busy monitoring me.

Though I was seen as a ladies man in camp.It wasn't easy guys, make I no lie rather I had to control myself.i instilled that self discipline inside me,you would see girls throwing their body on you.Any correct dude that camped at Iyana Ipaja camp can attest to that.Lagos camp lifestyle is the dopest with all kinds of razzmatazz and paparrazzi.I admired some good looking girls but I didn't do much of toasting because of my crush then ,make I no go cast lol! And the babe fine wella, sweet butter girl and looked so innocent, she even rejected the Miss Nysc call in her platoon.

I bet you guys,Lagos camp parades a lot of good looking girls and guys.Omo na show-off dem go do for camp o lol.

Sorry to say this, you will also find many yahoo boys there throwing money up and down and rich spoilt kids especially girls. Many artistes visited camp then, likes of Wizkid,Wande Cole,Frank Edwards etc. Thanks to Beat FM and Naija FM.

I joined NCCF,i had to be close to God being the Godfearing pikin i is na.I was getting distracted with many camp activities and paparrazzi,i had to call myself to order.Out of curiosity,i joined HIV awareness special CDS as part of my community service.I learnt more about HIV and AIDS.

AIDS is real guys.

I didn't "gbensh" in camp sha but I nearly did o with one Miss Nysc representative in one platoon like that,we were always together, trust IMSU girls.over soji dey worry them with lots of swag lol! I love my female friends that way.We connected well, there was this chemistry between me and her but we didn't date.We always ate out at Maami. She took me out sometimes while I did same,we were more of "besties".Naso konji come catch us one night o at maami after having some drinks, babe was feeling funny lol!i didn't want to take advantage of her,no doubt I was horny too but I had to control my "John thomas",omo eeh!

The thing don nearly tear my white knickers o.Konji na bastard.I have this phobia for messing up,i don't know why, maybe that has been my saving grace.if not, I would turn to a man "hoe" because of temptations coming from left and right.

Yes! I ate camp kitchen food,no "forming" or pretence here, especially their beans and yam.I ate mostly at Mami but I still liked the kitchen food jareh.Naturally,i am a foodie,i eat a lot but drink less lol!

Some spoilt kids and yahoo boys I met in camp always wanted me to hang out with them at Mami for drinks and toasting things but I hated anything click or gang even with the paparrazzi that came with it.Some guys or "big boys" in camp always wanted to hang out with me because they felt I roll with the so called "big girls" or posh girls in camp,it would give them easy access to those girls,i meant the shy guys or not-so-bold guys among them.Honestly,i never liked mingling with them,i hated the fake lifestyle they exhibited.Always deceiving innocent girls with their sweet mouth and fake posh lifestyle.

Girls, beware! All that glitters isn't gold.

I am not a saint either lol!I pick my friends, not the other way round.

I remembered,i also took some corpers to Mami, the ones I thought they were less privileged, some depended only on that camp kitchen food, some couldn't afford bottled water.i was touched and shed tears at some point,i had to pick some of them randomly to mami,i wanted them to have that mami "treatment" and merriment.I didn't have much but had to touch lives with the little I had on me.Yes! I know 80 percent of corpers that was posted to Lagos state worked it through someone but what of the remaining corpers. Some people are really going through hell, some can't even eat two square meal a day.

Please,if you are a serving corper and you are privileged, I oblige you to reach out to the less privileged corpers,no matter how little. Many people are suffering and smiling. Lagos camp had two factions or still have it.The lower class and the Higher class.Yes! You will meet a lot of influential people there. Most of our rich men's children serve in Lagos state. Some corpers in camp look at other people's level or social status, they select who they mingle with and most people there form or pretend.Meanwhile, we have humble and down to earth ones.

"Runs girls" or akata girls full Lagos camp well well o.some of them,na their sugar daddies, senator or rich sugar daddy work their service to Lagos.Lol!

Some of these girls looks for preys to devour in camp. They live very expensive and lavish lifestyle in and outside camp. Please,if you can't beat them, don't join their click o,you will just get lost or be a shadow of yourself.Chaii! Stella,i don do small amebo o lol!

Passing out time from Camp:I was given a preferential treatment by my platoon director.she gave me a letter to take to a commissioner at Alausa secretariat that very day.My PPA was at SUBEB.I eventually taught in one primary school at Oshodi-Isolo,that was my Local government. It was fun having a good time teaching young pupils lol! I enjoyed it wella. And God knows I love children a lot.

Every fridays,I would buy biscuits and caprisonne for most pupils to eat and drink.I loved seeing their innocent faces and their child-like behaviour. I take style pack shit o.Some threw up on my body.Honestly, I was so humbled and felt honoured to be with the children.Children are source of blessing. When you reach out to them,no matter how little,God must have a way of favouring you in all circumstances. The school teachers also fell in love with me,no be that kind love o.They shed tears when I was leaving the school.

Lest I forget,at oshodi-isolo local government, our LOC or director then Mr Charles was something else,my guy can chase women eeh and liked having fun with the corpers. We were friends then,my guy too like soji guys so that he will be getting access to fine girls . I like him sha,na correct guy man.I didn't date any girl during my service year but I "gbenshed" sha make I no lie, body no be fire wood.My reason for not having any serious relationship was because of people I met,i was distracted,i wasn't prepared psychologically to go into any serious relationship to avoid story that touch the heart.

I didn't want to mess up with any girl's heart.i personally dislike putting a woman in a bad sorry state.

I had one sweet babe that was always visiting me from Island, that babe really took risk because of me o.She would drive all the way from Lekki phase 1 down to my apartment in mainland. She was so beautiful, tall and curvy though I was taller than her.The "straffing" no be here o.She always preferred doggy, she got shapely curvy ass and likes big rod,the hammering no be here o.Sometimes, she would be so weak and tired to drive herself back to island and she was scared of that Third mainland bridge, she preferred driving through Orile route.

I got rid of her when I discovered she was one rich guy's fiancee.

She was using me to satisfy her high sexual urge.she later confessed to me that the dude isn't good in bed and he has a small d**k but she preferred me because of the way I handle her and the size Na real wa o!.

She kept confessing that anytime she sets her eyes on me,all she sees was hot sex(not praising myself o).Omo! Na there I know say I don enter one chance.Na so I leave am waka o before my fellow guy go knack me akpako. She never wanted us to meet on the island, she only preferred us to meet on the mainland or she book a hotel room.

UniLag products,i hail una o.

The babe was damn coded and I played along lol.We enjoyed each other''s company no doubt.I had to leave her because of her fiance, let me not be a stumbling block between them.Well, that's one of those shitty things I did then.Funny enough,i never "straffed" any corper while serving, upon all the hook ups and meetings.God,forgive me.

Sadly,i lost my wallet and the whole money inside it on that day I was passing out from camp, about N30k then. The letter given to me by my platoon director to the commissioner was for me to be eligible for the payment of extra N15k Lagos state allowee. As an Ibo guy,i got many privileges same as Lagos state indigenes.I felt so blessed and honoured. I was hoping to be posted to Eti Osa local government so that I could stay and work around Ikoyi or Lekki area.I enjoyed my service year in Lagos state and still enjoy Lagos.Though I was not a newcomer or JJC . I love Lagos state and everything about it.Long live former Governor of Lagos state during my service year,His Excellency Babatunde R. Fashola and the current Governor,His Excellency Gov. Ambode. Eko Oni baje o.

After Service: I spent 6 months at home before I got a job in a bluechip company at highbrow area in Lagos state.Things were going fine before change of management.Unfortunately, the job is as good as nothing now.it is just a smoke screen. This recession isn't helping things.Me wan leave naija jareh.i don tire for this obodo naija."Achorom igbawa" door.

I want to use this opportunity to thank Stella for her applaudable gesture and philanthropy.Stella is a secret and noiseless giver, she has a meek heart with an unequivocal strong personality.I am not asslicking o but I have to pour out my heart about her.I still prefer this blog to any other blog.Your blog is entertaining, informative and educating.I love you stella,Thanks so much. "Möge Gott euch weiterhin Stella und eure Familie beibringen. Ihr dürft die Frucht eurer Arbeit ernten. Gott segne das SDK ".
