As seen from the photo from her Live Instagram page,she has braces on and has vowed not to eat normal but healthy in order to lose weight fast....RME.
I am encouraged by this to start a healthy diet ....right now!

DeleteU did this thing. Turing teeth to just live on fluids for a month. I dropped like there was no tomorrow. But imo after 6mnths my weight gain was something else. Had to now loose the proper way of exercising and dieting. And the weight never came back. Now my maintaining using keto.

DeleteI dont think diets are the best way to go especially when you are not dieting for life. My former colleague did the same thing Banke did to her teeth. She lost so much weight in 2 weeks but gained it all back in a week after she removed it because she missed eating the food she was used to.
DeleteEven this keto doesn't make sense to me if i will eventually go back to eating my foods.
Best way is to reduce your portion, cut down on sugar and do more of honey till you get used to it.
Reduce rice, bread and eat it only once in a while,etc.
And add exercise.
But to totally change your diet is a sure way to fail.
U can try different meals. Its not just cabbage you know. try egg toast , pepper soup, efo riro with assorted, egg pizza the list goes on. Me sef tire for cabbage, but I improvise. U can do smoothie with avocado add chai seeds etc

The way we Nigerians are doing the "Keto" diet is more of LCHF and not the real keto..... On real keto oooo, vegetable intake is not about 25g, and when you pppput alllll the cabbage, cucumber, bell peppers and egged together, we are definitely eating close to 50-70g , still low carb but not keto
DeleteOn keto, the 20-25g cannot take much veggies at all since all the other stuff like eggs, avocado, etc still have carbs and they all add up at the end of the day. And the aim here is to become fat adapted by staying in the ketosis state for at least 6-8 weeks by which time your body becomes a fat burning machine.
Point here is - The low carb lifestyle works but it is a spectrum of dieting lifestyle with LCHF and keto on different spectrums.
For instance with keto, supplementation is vital, for sodium, potassium and magnesium. ( salt water, lite salt intake and magnesium supplement.) also fish oil and vit C.

Up your protein and fat, drop the starches ( straight carbs, get your carbs from the veggies
Be patient and consistent. Persevere for 6 months and your body, mind and soul will thank you

ReplyDeleteWant a good healthy diet meal plan, came up with mine. 12weeks plan of 2 boiled eggs for breakfast, steamed vegetables(ugu or waterleaf) with boiled turkey for lunch & only vegetable soup for dinner before 7pm. Don't forget to drop some slices of ๐ฅ in your water & boi, you will drink a lot of water. No rice, yam, beans, bread, soda, pastries to be tasted or eaten within this period. I didn't ๐ but worked out in a nutty way *wink wink*. Anyways by the 4th month,your body will adjust inclusive of detoxification.....,, xoxo Red

So I take a Caribbean slimming tea ☕️ that I just bought 2 weeks ago, haven't seen much difference yet though ๐๐๐, Aside from that I scoop half tea spoon ๐ฅ of mint leaves ๐, I add some slices of cucumber ๐ฅ and lemon ๐ , and put it in the fridge, then start drinking the next day, twould have infused very well๐๐ฟ, that's basically to detox anyway

Nigerians you are on Low Carb diets not Keto diet biko. Keto requires 20g of carbs. That your eggplant swallow, egusi, draw soup, any soup, coconut bread...even one portion go pass on 20g of carbs.
ReplyDeleteWhether lchf or keto, people are doing it and it is equally working for them.It is a lifestyle which I started in december, with moderate cheating, I lost 12 kg and I have been able to maintain it. Lchf/keto is commendable and a way to go.
