OAP Freeze had called out Kiibati Bankole, the executive producer and host of Merrybet celebrity fans challenge sometime last month with claims that she owed him some money and has since stopped picking his calls.
Kiibati, who has been silent since the call out decided to give her robust reply today with an uppercut left,right and centre..

      Pay him? What for? He told the company DK Exclusive wasn't available, therefore the company cancelled BOTH their invites. Yet, he 'gate crashed' the event more or less, then insists on getting paid?? Make Hin go court nah! Useless boy.       Did you read the writeup upside down? What part "she didn't know how to tell him his invite had been canceled" didn't u understand? Instead she refused to pickup hoping he'll get the message, in as much as I don't dig him, he was smart enough to attend the event and "forced" his way on stage knowing he wud get an appearance fee. The girl messed up. Management isn't owing him, she is, well and those that let him on stage.

    Ma'am,you were not straight forward in your dealings with Freeze.

    Freeze's reputation might not be close to being squeaky clean but as a professional person,you and your team should have been firm in the decisions you took and would have communicated it to this man appropriately.

    During the show,he was let onto the stage without anyone telling him the truth once again?
    Immediately after the show,you would have let him know the truth,no matter how bitter. This is what honest,straightforward people do.

    Oh and while you were saving your voice for your excellent perfomance at the show.. you didn't remember to tap your fingers on your keypad to send a text to him.

    I understand that Uncle Freeze has his 'methods' and may obviously have a lot of enemies that will totally love this,but i have completely analysed this,and i see a very unprofessional set of people that led Freeze on to the last minute.
    What do you mean by 'you felt he will understand' What if he is dense?
    What if you not picking your calls was not enough wake up call for him?

    Same thing people do after buying cloths from sellers,they become evasive.. then they say you forced them to buy,later they say you can come take the things you sold to them,after all... they were on their own when you carried your wares to them.

    After 1 month,your PR people didn't do enough. All i see is the barely concealed sarcasm and taunting.

      You're on point, but I see Kiibati's flaw as a slip, not unprofessional. Recall, she has a proper mutually beneficial relationship, never owed him in the past. Freeze jumped, as the frog that he is! Also true, texts & mails should have been sent prior to event date, but I say again, more slips, not deliberate.

      Freeze capitalized on those slips! I prophesy a public beating for him soon, mark my words, as I also prophesy a make up between Linda & our Stella. Watch out!

      This right here is the truth. Freeze is an obnoxious fellow but these people were not fair in their dealings with him. She said Freeze called him for 3days after she got back from Dubai but she didn't pick 'because she was trying to recover from her trip'. See excuse o.

    Stella, Freeze has posted the message she sent him online.
    Meanwhile, in as much as there was no contract binding them, just series of messages, the Kibati lady should have called Freeze to cancel. It would not cost her anything to do that though, putting him on hold without canceling or pulling out on the part of the last is what Freeze wants to hold on to in this fight.
    I hope they sort it out amicably though.

      According to freeze, he has done business with her before and she didn't pay on time. Why then did he attend the show when he didn't get part payment, no contract and nothing.

      He also knew he was invited because of dj exclusive, when dj exclusive pulled out, he should know he can't attend anymore.

      I'm sure dj exclusive pulled out because there was no proper invite/contract and no part payment 1 week to the event.

      Common sense is not common.

      Spot on. Besides there were 3 items to this agreement, dj exclusive. Freeze and the cool FM promo. If 2 of the conditions failed shouldn't freeze have renegotiated with the body? If no one was picking his calls, was that not a clear indication to back out as well?
      If truthfully DJ Exclusive was the main pull and freeze squeezed himself in, what moral justification will freeze have to demand for a pay?
      Let freeze take this as bad business and keep quiet. Besides I am sure the lady and her company have scrutinised the agreement before asking freeze to head to court for proper action.

    Ms. kibati, you claim you run a reputable organization and somehow, you do not have knowledge of drafting a contract. When you enter into a business with someone, you draft a contract and state the terms of your contract. When you decide to end the contract, you do same by writing. It holds water in court.

    Also Madam, you are fraudulent and dubious. Let's say you verbally entered into a contract with someone and you ommited to do the needful by letting him know the contract has ended verbally rather you started dodging his calls. If you actually work for Merrybet, it goes to show that Merrybet as a company is highly questionable. Do you pay tax? FRSC should look into your company.

    I didn't read Daddy Freeze statement, I am not his fan at all but from what you wrote there, you are clearly at fault. Tarnishing his image by telling us he is a lesser celebrity and letting the world know he is up to 50 will not derail us from the truth. If you know he is an 'Egbon', why did you not respect that fact and pick his calls? You could have settled this before it gets out.

    Go and pay his money. next time draft a contract and state your terms of contract clearly. Some of you small companies will not employ proper lawyer to tackle issues like this before it gets to the public, you want to save cost to your detriment. Moreover, if you had a company lawyer, he will mediate first, this case can be settled without going to court.

    I hope you know if it eventually gets to the court, it will be Freeze Vs Merrybet. What if he wins? You put a company at risk of going to court because of your lack of prompt thinking.

    You can write a newspaper just for a reply but the fact still remains that you Ms didn't handle it properly. You should have told him or reply his calls which won't take 30secs and you called that professionalism? Social Media can't settle it, just call Freeze and clear things up with him. Someone that had shown interest to come for such event, its no big deal telling him that the management is trying to cut cost.

    Many thanks to those of you that were objective in this matter. It is a testament to your level of intelligent and integrity. Irrespective of what people think of Freeze, the truth of the matter here is that this woman is nothing but a fraud. She is dubious, lacks integrity and is extremely unprofessional.

    To start with you entered an agreement with a supplier based on certain conditions. You later came to the conclusion that the conditions attached to the contract was not going to be fulfilled, so you changed our mind. Why did you or your managers not notify Freeze in writing. You stringed him along for weeks and even allowed him to perform at the event and then turn around to allege that you were surprised that he turned up in the first place.

    I submit to you madam that Freeze turned up because at no point was he made aware that the contract had been rescinded hence him going ahead to fulfil his contractual obligations.

    Lastly , you are so unprofessional and seriously a reputable organisation will dismiss you immediately for responding to a client /supplier in this manner. You see if you were as professional and classy as you claim to be you would never have resorted to personal insults. Basically the way this reads is that this is an official response form your organisation because you are their representative. Is that you don't realise that the contract was not between you and Freeze but between him and the organisation you are employed by.

    Freeze you are absolutely right on this one.

    Our problem as a people is that we lack integrity as such we are very quick to applaud dubious and fraudulent behaviour.


    PS: Good to see that you have had time to rest your voice and fingers, at least you are responding now albeit inappropriately.
