Labour Room Drama 160

When you do not feel your baby moving,Dont just assume baby is sleeping...

Finally I get round to writing my LRD.
The week of delivery I noticed the baby was not as active as usual but I put it down to being term and the baby probably not having enough space to move,I downloaded a free app to monitor the FHR ( baby's heart beat).

I mentioned to my doctor at my next antenatal Visit and she was a bit worried said I should go in to the hospital if I feel baby is not as active . I wanted hubby to be at the delivery, so I hoped I won't have to go to the hospital before the following week.

I started having contractions but it was not very strong, with my first I didn't have either I had to be induced once my water started leaking.

I reluctantly went in to the hospital after I was checked the first doctor was like I should go back , but she called my doctor who said i should remain in the hospital.
That was where journey began o, first I walked and walked was checked and I was like 2cm, I was even on the blog and sent an email to SDK of life , my first went quickly and without event ( sent in my LRD i was even saying then that maybe I had high threshold for pain) so I assumed this was going to be easier Sef, alas my bvns na so we begin o from early hours on Friday, I eventually was induced for where I no gree dilate o, when they broke my water it was meconium stained( means baby had some sort of distress )

my Doctor checked about 11 pm and was like nah baby not coming tonight I was just like 4cm imagine!, next thing I knew o was someone shouting we are loosing baby's heart rate I looked on the monitor and really her heart rate was dropping rapidly I was immediately put on oxygen and some sort of probe inserted in and placed on baby's scalp it was like a movie.

The heart rate came up and I was on serious monitoring, the pain no be here at some point I was seeing things.  I was checked by one of the Doctors around 4am she said 5cm Hian !!

I sent my doctor a message to prepare for CS by morning because I was sure I could not bear the pain anymore, I asked for epidural at about 6 am was checked and I was 8cm!! So they refused My doctor came in about 7:30 am , checked and I was ready, the little madam decided to grace the world with her presence in the early hours of the morning after almost 24 hours of painful labour, i cut the cord myself as na only me waka go , I was able to see her coming out as I had a mirror placed at the feet of the bed, really child birth is a miracle.

After delivery I started bleeding the doctor had to go back in and remove clots no anaesthesia cos there was no IV access this happened twice. Infact it was a traumatic experience but seeing this bundle of joy God has blessed me with makes it all so worth it. I pray for all still waiting that God gives you your testimonies soon.

Did I mention it took over 2 hours to just get my vein as the people no dey hear word, told them where to find the vein they said because they could not see it, I was pricked so many times I lost count, eventually they called the anaesthetist who saw one tiny vein that had me positioned in an awkward position all through.

Grateful to God my 9 months course didn't end in vain.
Pictures for ya eyes only, thank you I lof thee like kilode. Hope I get to meet you someday

*My GOD,that baby is so soooo beautiful and the way you dressed her up,she looks like an Angel!...Congrats,happy that your story ended well!

The second one I even drove home after dat myself, even my neighbour dat ve done it before couldn't believe her eyes wen I came back bcos she said she saw hell when she did hers. so summary of all, urs might be just a little pain like mine. Wish luck dear.

    5. HSG is painful, but the pain depends on your treshold, cervix and if your tubes. For instance if your cervix is closed, they first of all would get it open, and if the tubes are not well open , it means the dye would be passed in severally, that is if your tubes are clear , I bet you , you would be done in less than 1 hour. All the best , and pls stay claim.
