As part of its probity and accountability mandate, the Bello-led Kogi State Government has promised a cash reward of five hundred thousand naira to any person with useful information that will lead to the arrest of criminals and people who spread false Information capable of disrupting public peace.

A statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mrs Petra Akinti Onyegbule, today in Lokoja said the move is aimed at consolidating the security efforts of the present administration in the State and ensuring peace and harmonious relationship amongst the good people of Kogi.

  6. Some disgruntled people will use this whistleblowing to get even with their "enemies"

Since this whistleblowing way of life started,i caught myself wondering one time. What if one says that one Oga stashed money somewhere and these Ready-for-action people don their boots, get their rifles ready, imagining they wil meet the sight of "The infamous Oga NNPC kind of loot" they fuel their rides, armoured and otherwise and when they get to the "fingered" place there is no money. ๐Ÿ˜‚

This isn't afterall an easy business o. Them go beat the person eh,your eye wee come down. Call u enemy of progress join.

  8. Bello is the most incompetent Governor in Nigeria today. Since the clowns around him are fond of reminding us of his closeness to Aso Rock, it is not a surprise that he is copying this whistle-blowers policy -and yes it will be abused. Bello should please pay the civil servants in Kogi State their outstanding salaries instead of playing to the gallery for Aso Rock to see. This Governors'incompetence is astounding. He has refused to pay workers'salaries on the ground that he is searching for 'ghost'workers. Civil servants have been subjected to series of screenings without anything coming out of it. A few weeks back the state woke up to the news that the files of all civil servants which had been moved to the Kogi state Government house (on the instruction of the Governor) had been submerged in water from broken pipes in Government house -and as usual he blamed this on his political foes in the state. Stella please help us ask him what the files of all Kogi civil servants are doing in Government house. Useless excuse of a man. I hope he will reward me for blowing this first whistle...
