      Where are you guys getting info about condom not protective against HPV from? Yes it might not be fully protective just with other STIs but it is definitely protective against it. It is a body to body contact form of transmission so the part not covered by condom can definitely be a problem and not all HPV infection necessarily means cervical cancer. There are different strains and some just goes away while some cause genital warts and cancers many years after.

      Sir or ma HPV is not same as herpes that you get as cold sore on your mouth, that is HSV 1 which is clearly a different virus from HPV a papilloma virus. The herpes you get in the genital area is HSV2 which is also an herpes and it's clearly different from HPV, it forms vesicles rashes and not warts.Also men can be infected with HPV and have genital warts, penile cancer, anal cancer and oronpharyngeal cancer. Pls don't give wrong information when you are not sure

      Yes, hepatitis b is definitely worse. A nurse told me that. The good thing about being pregnant is, you get tested for every illness in the world just so they know how to treat you. I didn't even know there was something called Rhesus until I fell pregnant, lol.

      Hep C was transmitted so much by blood transfusion in the country cos it wasn't one of the infections tested for in donated blood (published data)... So sad for those that got it. Good thing is sometimes your body 'resolves' on its own, unfortunately it doesn't always happen and quite a number fell victim to what they knew nothing about. It leads to liver cirrhosis but is treatable now. Treatment is mega expensive for the 'average' Nigerian though

    My husband has Hepatitis B, we ve been married for 15 years yet am negative. Just started the three course immunisation. He is presently getting treatment. HIV is not a death sentence but the stigma, the demoralising blow it deals to your psyche is the worst part of it. And that's why it's worse than other deadlier diseases
