Why queue up to cook?is that for real?
Why not Kindle Fire? You don't need kerosene to do that.back in the olden days, there wasn't any kerosene, yet folks kindled fire to roast meat and stuff.
I can Kindle a raging fire with just matches and materials.
Wanted to ask about gas, I remembered its expensive and most can't afford it..
    Anyway, it's a sad situation..

  10. At least they have the alternative of wood, gas. Here, all these are prohibited, you are only to bring electric cooker.

They should make do with wood.

  11. Whats not scarce in this country?
We all should learn to adjust now.
Only this fire will cook whatever is in those pots?
Make your fire and cook your food.

  22. Stella, kerosene scarcity is true. it's also affecting us here in Uniben.

    my experience today.....
I had #3,000 with me, budgeted ##2,000 for kerosene because the last time I got it was #200 a litre, I planned to get the kerosene, use 500 to buy some bags of pure water and 500 for some foodstuffs.
since kerosene was my major priority, I went to the school filling station and was told there was no kerosene, I planned to go back home and come back for it tomorrow but since I had no kerosene again, I decided to go check outside school, took bus from school gate to where the fillings stations are and of all the seven filling station at a row only one of them had kerosene, and alas the price..... a litre is #300, I was shocked but I had to buy it, I rescheduled my budget. I was carrying a 10 litre, 10 litres of kerosene cost #3,000. I thought, since I don't know if it will increase to #400 next time, let me buy it like that so I won't have to go short of it in the coming weeks.

I went back home with only #50, I had to beg the person to short #50 worth of kerosene for me so I can go home.
The suffering in this country is too much, the common man doesn't enjoy even peace of mind again because they are also thinking if the prices won't increase again, how they will survive the next moment.
In all, I wont just give up on God, he will continue to keep us alive, healthy and strong to survive.

  27. I won't lie, it's true, it's so bad that I haven't cooked in a long as a result of the kerosene scarcity and fear of going to the mkt, for a long time na Okpa and anything else during the day na ehm person dey chop. I remember the last time I went to mkt I thought I lost money and if we ask our parents/sponsors for money it seems like we re being to extravagant but they don't understand.... me sef I tire for this country
