NUPENG Declares Strike....

Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG), has declared a three-day warning strike beginning 12 midnight, ahead of their meeting with the federal government on Wednesday.

President of the union, Mr Igwe Achese, told journalists in Abuja after an emergency meeting of the union, that the strike is to press for the implementation of the agreement reached with the oil companies on staff welfare, mediated by the federal government in 2016.

He however explained that the continuation or otherwise of the strike beyond Wednesday, January 11, would be determined by the outcome of a joint meeting between the union and the federal government on Wednesday.

    1. You dey mind them. Anybody that went for occupy Nigeria and is keeping mum now is a coward. Ordinary N120/ltr of petrol, una shut down Nigeria. Now prices of commodities have tripled and not even a word has been said. To fill my 12.5kg cylinder is now 6k but during bae's (GEJ) tenure it was 2,500. E no go better for this govt and all the people that put us in this wahala.
Businesses are folding up daily and people are still believing PMB is on the right track. PMB is a clueless moron. I am fed up with this country. May thunder fire all of them.

  11. You reach an agreement with the oil companies and because they fail to implement it, you want the entire nation to suffer for it, abi? When you guys were enjoying the hefty salaries and bonuses the same companies were paying, did we all enjoy with you?
