I usually fry onions in palm oil then add pepper to it and stir for a long time. It doesn't taste like ewa agoyin but not bad, as far as the beans is very soft and a bit mashed.

  13. Good morning everyone!
It's been a very busy day for me, doing a lot of house cleaning and trying to put so many things in order (my son godparents travelled back to Canada yesterday).

So many works to be done.

I just had a quickie, a cup of warm whole milk mixed with one raw egg.

I'll be preparing oven grilled chicken later to be eaten with fried plantain and salad.

Of course I can cook ewa agoyin, it's my people's food.
    Hugs to you Stella Dimoko.

May we always have cause to rejoice and praise the Lord.

Waiting for 2 others to birth, we enter the apron and start with chicken nuggets and spring rolls whose sauce and marinated steaks are ready and been in the fridge overnight. Then peppered and soft buttered chin chin, moi moi in leaves will come last because na back of boys quarters im firewood setting dey. I'm selfish like that, I don't patronize road side fries for my kiddies lunch boxes. Me gat no money and time for the Doctors.

Will roast native yam inside the fire and mix ugba in peppered sauce for lunch.

  29. Just two apples and water for me this morning.

Biko, my natural sisters, am I the only one wondering what is going on with the way prices of hair products are shooting up?

I went to stock up on my leave-in conditioner yesterday( I don't like waiting for mine to finish before getting two more, because, staple)and Cantu leave-in that I got for 3k a month ago,is now 3,800.Let me not even talk about Shea Moisture products that'll soon start hitting 7k. And these are staples that don't last for up to five weeks o, especially, leave-in.

Parachute coconut oil is 2,500 for one small bottle. The smell is awesome, but haba mana?!!

Thank God for local shea butter fess. And Dudu Osun, at least I don't spend on shampoos.

Abeg, abeg, who knows good made in Nigeria hair products, make I dey alternate? Ihe nkea dikwa egwu.

Now I'm thinking that a tapered cut would make beautiful sense. Choi!

May God help us in this country
I heard that made in naija hair products are costlier sef

    2. Natural hair products are expensive everywhere!
I wish i'm capable financially, I would have invested in making my own affordable products especially for my African sisters.

for those not financially buoyant enough, i'll advice they try DIY homemade.

      Delete
    3. Maybe you should try DIY alternatives for these products, like the coconut oil, you could make yours.

      Delete
    4. Amanda, costlier, you say? Haaa! This is serious o. And here I was thinking they'll be cheaper.

Mrs. Romans, I try to DIY with most of my hair products. Like for deep conditioning;I don't buy deep conditioners. Even my protein treatments are DIY.

But one can't make leave- in the DIY way, except they want to use water. And some styles don't need water on the hair. It'll just mess everything up. I can't make olive oil myself either.

Nuvi hunnay, the processes for coconut oil no be here o. Where I go find the time and strength? But seriously, if things keep going downhill like this, the time and strength must come out by fire by force o. Lol! Or I'll patronize Lucille if hers are cheaper.. * sigh eyes*

I cannot be braiding and fixing because hair products are expensive.

      God will help us maynne.
