Kure was flown to Germany three weeks ago for medical attention owing to an illness.
Confirming the news, late Kure’s Chief Press Secretary, Mahmud Abdullahi, said the former governor was taken to Germany for kidney related sickness.
Abdullahi said arrangement was already being made by the family to bring the remains of the former governor back home for burial.
Governor Kure is survived by his wife, Senator Zaynab Kure and six children.
