Worried Bride Sends Memo To Arik Air Over Her Delayed Guests...

Arik Air this is not funny anymore,it has slowly become Unacceptable!

Hello Madam Stella,

Hope your day is going well? Please I want u to use your platform to help us reach Arik Air. Arik has messed our xmas plans up and it's no longer funny. My inlaws who are meant to be in Nigeria by now to help prepare for my traditional marriage, are still in JFK. The most annoying thing is, they are lying about the reason for this cancelled flight.

They lied it's cos of engine issue bla bla. This is a blatant lie, please Arik air should resolve the issue they are having with Their staff. So many people's happiness are at stake here, u can't keep families apart just because u have poor managerial skills . Stellz, please find attached the convo between my SIL and myself. She explained explicitly what is happening to Arik passengers at JFK as we speak.

Please something has to be done ASAP!! Cos if this issue isn't resolved on time, there are lots of people on standby who are ready to sue Their pants off. My hubby is also meant to use Arik back to Nigeria next week , but if this is not resolved on time only God knows what will happen.

Regards,
Worried Bride.

  2. I still don't understand why are you people using arik what is una problem. The last time I used arik was with my mum age 17 I'm now 29 our eyes see sege and I vowed never ever to use arik from that day. I have been to naija countless of times and I have never ever even considered arik when I am not mad. I don't care about luggage because I don't pack the whole of U.K. to naija. Infact I don't have load when I am going I pack for my family and buy cloths to wear when I reach naija. Myself and my 2yo will be in naija 3solid weeks next year and I will be booking virgin or Air France. Even if I was given free arik ticket for life il dash it. Arik will never see my break light.

Good luck bride and HML in advance boo💋

    1. I don't understand too @ Anonymous 8:38, I took Arik from Nigeria to London in 2008 because of 30kg and I made up my mind I will never ever go on Arik.
The airline was delayed from 11:00am to 3pm with us just sitting at MMIA, can't even remember if we were given lunch but we were not treated well at all. No one to assure or give us detailed information of what was happening. Mean while they knew the flight will be delayed because they were waiting for the same one coming from Heathrow. We come enter plane finish no TV to watch or radio to listen to, most boring journey ever, at least if na road I go dey see other cars and people.
If dey ever give me for free I will never go on it, their cabin crew members are sooooooo rude. I don't understand why Nigerians always give attitude and unprofessional or maybe its because am used to Virgin Airline.
Na economy I dey fly for Virgin but I prefer, love and will stick to my Virgin forever. Cabin crew, 100% and they treat you like Queen. But if na Dubai, pls try Emirates Airline and they will make you feel like you're a member of the royal family.
I don talk too much this morning, am just excited it Christmas eve and my goose is out to defrost so I can season in the evening or midnight for tomorrow.
      Merry Christmas all, kisses.

    1. Arik has always been uncustomer-centric. I stopped using them in 2011. I had just had a baby and was travelling to Abuja. My flight was for 7am,I got to the airport at 6am,the crowd at the airport was something else because it was a sallah holiday. Arik as usual could not manage the crowd as such the whole place was disorganised. They took off not caring that some of us for the 7am flight have not been checked in. I was treated like I missed the flight and had to pay to reschedule. I incurred additional cost for their incompetence and they didn't bother to apologise. To them, they were doing me a favour. It's high time they are closed down until they can get their act together.

  7. Madam, I feel your pain but Arik is not lying. Its rush hour/festive period. Even local flights(all airlines) are having delays. My sis finally boarded today(not Arik) after days of delay. All plans shattered.

Arik has no problem with their staff.

Its unfortunate you have to experience this. So sorry.

    1. Anonymous 8:48, what are you talking about?
The only time and last time I ever flew Arik was in 2008 to Heathrow because of 30kg and it was hell and the Arik I know has always been having issues.
I don't understand why people still fly that airline with even their rude cabin crew members.
Shame on Arik, it should be closed down.

  9. So nothing good can come from Nigeria? What is the minister for aviation doing to stop this rubbish attitude of most of the airline carriers?
Imagine, they pride themselves that they are Nigerian carrier, yet they can't pay staff, and put things in order.
I just weep for this country.
I pray for the sake of this bride, the issue is resolved on time.

  11. Nigerians will not learn. Stop buying Arik tickets if you don't want stories like this. Funny thing is that the difference with other airlines is not so much . Even for free I will never fly Arik again in my life. I remember how my husband got home with Arik ticket to London with my daughter. I was devasted that day. He kept on saying they have the best pilots bla bla bla. From Nigeria very rude customer service. Fast forward to our date of arrival I got to Heathrow only to be told Arik won't fly cause there was no fuel in Nigeria. Oh boy I was devasted again. I began to call my husband to scream. Called his friend that's a pilot in Arik to lament. Called customer service no response. I was just going crazy not cause I wanted to come back home but cause I was with my 1 year old and 6 luggage plus stroller with only about 150 pounds left on me. I did not even know if to go back to my in laws house. I was so weak. Long story short they lodged us in some hotel near to the airport and booked us on another flight back to Nigeria the next day. As I land niga that day I promised myself and warned my husband never to make that mistake again. Am sure he got those tickets then cause it was cheaper. This year I was expecting him to make a similar mistake guy just respect himself but Air France. Arik is so useless.

    1. Customer service is minus zero, their cabin crew na war. Very rude untrained elements.
Even if dem dash me free ticket I will never ever fly that airline again.

  16. Why did you all allow them book Arik. I don't blame Arik now but people that still patronise them especially on their international flights. They have not worked on their domestic flights na international leg. With all the stories we hear about them, una no de hear. Even with that viral video Banks W shared about the aircraft that the ac was bad and passengers protested, since then...It's sad. But it's better you guys fly through plenty countries but arrive well with other airlines than Arik. They won't do anything oh.

  19. Whatever the issue, they should resolve it before I reach that flight level. Until then let me keep facing my 'jibowu park'.

  20. NOOOO Arik is NOT the cheapest, it's just that they usually fly directly with no layovers....But that doesn't mean they are not incompetent, as a matter of fact they are the worst airline in Nigeria, I vowed NEVER to fly with @Arikair again after they delayed and later cancelled my flight for two days without a cogent reason. Awon Oniranu oshi...#EnoughIsEnough
