When we were teens, we could hardly wait to grow up. We were so in a hurry to become full fledged adults. But we have become adults, now we all wish we could go back to when we were kids that 'cared less' about the challenges of life!
The reality is, as adults, we all are fighting something. As our faces differ, so do our trials and challenges.
The toughest times aren't at the beginning of a fight. The beginning of a battle catches you fresh and at that point, you are energized and vibrant enough knowing you can win because you are willing to give your everything.
The Israelites were full of frenzy during their exit from Egypt. After all, they had lived as slaves for about 400 years. God had chosen them to be the people/nation through which the rest of the world will know Him(God). But they did not realise that sometimes, the call of God can be disruptive and lead you to the unfamiliar. They envisioned a roller-coaster exodus, till they began to notice a strange twist.
Friend, the truth is, LIFE IS A FIGHT. You fight to get what you want, and when you get it, you fight to keep it! Ask any wealthy person, it is more difficult to sustain wealth than to attain it!
The unfamiliar is the wilderness that precedes the promise(Destiny)!
Jesus did not enjoy the cross, but He had to go through it anyways. Jesus knew it was a three day situation that will change the lives of His followers forever! Luke 22:40-42 let's us know he was in pains emotionally. But He did the right thing, He prayed. And most expediently, He PRAYED A HEARTFELT PRAYER. God does not joke with your heartfelt prayer(Prayer that comes from the deepest part of your heart, telling Him how you feel).
Verse 43 let's us Know an angel from heaven came to strengthen Jesus.
Friend, God is not taking you through the unfamiliar to abandon you there(Deut 31:6). God wants to toughen you up so that you can handle the blessing when it comes. Because, trust me, WITH THE BLESSING COMES THE BURDEN OF BEING BLESSED(I'd work on this topic someday)!
You cannot handle the blessing if you could not handle the trouble that precedes the blessing.
Emotionally, you may be currently in a valley... but TRUST JESUS, YOU WILL SOON SMILE AGAIN. Every thing will soon make sense.

ReplyDeleteThis 'wilderness' experience is a VERY tedious training ground, aint cake at all! Takes all the grace of God. Thank God I didn't drink valium 7 or go stand b4 a moving trailer. God is Too Faithful, TOO Good. Being trained by God is Totally for His own Glory n ultimately the good of destinies attached to yours. Greater Grace Father...Yours for LIFE!
