The Meeting Point 42

WOW!

Hello darling Stella, I love what you are doing, you are a strong
woman I admire a lot keep up the good work. I decided to send in my
meeting point for you and beeves, I hope you guys enjoy it though this
may be long.

I met my sweet darling husband when I was going through domestic violence from my Ex.... ya you read that right.... I was in my final year first semester. I was traveling to the village for my cousin's traditional marriage, I was one of the asoebi girls and we met in the bus.

The previous day i went to my then boo now Ex to inform him of my journey to the village, he refused I wasn't surprised he was very possessive, jealous and hit me at any slight provocation even if its minor disagreement so I tried to make him see reasons, for where the guy no gree o, I got angry and told him I can't let down my own flesh and blood becos of a boyfriend that my parents have never met before, that was it he bounced on me like an angry lion but thanks to God I didn't have the prints of dv like swollen lips, black eye etc from
this particular abuse, that day while leaving his house when I got to
the door I paused, looked back, called his name and told him its over
between us.

I cried all through my journey back to my apartment, I don't even know
what was making me cry sef, I got home, knocked ,my roomie the only
friend still permitted to be in my life by my almighty boyfriend open
the door for me, she saw the tears and know what must have happened,
before she could speak I told her it was over, she hugged me and we
went in, I opened up to her that I was tired. Each time he hit me I
wanted to leave but couldn't, I told her I was desperate to leave the guy.

My friend told me if I want to leave I must either leave this environment or get another guy to gbensh, according to her I couldn't leave cos this guy was my first, and I was subconsciously attached to him, I cried myself to sleep that night.

Early momo next day I carried my bag leave house cos I knew Ex was gonna
come next morning to apologise and I didn't wanna see him cos I know if
I see him I will go back on my decision. I got to the park, bought my
ticket, was still waiting for other passengers when I discovered I had
forgotten the shoes I was to use, chai see me sweating ,I couldn't go back
home cos he may likely be there ,I couldn't call my roomie cos what if he decided to stalk her to the park?

I decided to go to the market and buy another pair, I told the bus company admin of my situation and we agreed to put someone else on my seat while I join the next available bus whenever i come back so off to the market I went, got the shoes and came back to the park. When I got back the first bus had left so I joined the second bus, my sweety was in this bus too he was going to the
village for his grandma's burial.

When we started the journey I brought out my phone more than 20 missed
calls from Ex, I ignored them, opened my okadabooks app and started
reading novels, a few minutes I saw a hand snatch my phone from me, I
turned it was this handsome creamy looking guy and for some reasons I
smiled, he smiled back and ask why I was keeping to myself, I told him
I enjoy reading, he said reading was going to be on hold for now, we
started talking, I got smitten the more I got to know him, he works in
an oil and gas company in port harcourt, guy was doing well for
himself, even had his own car and house but didn't want to bring it to
the village in order not to show himself.

he told me he would love me to be his wife,it Sounded funny to me, so I laughed and asked him pesin wey you no know? Guy said he was serious that from when he saw me walk into the park he knew I was the kind of girl he's been looking for.

This guy pampered me all the way to the village, when we alighted he
invited me to his grandma's wake keep and then he added that he will
like me to meet his mum and my future inlaws, na laff I just dey laff I
thought he was joking, so I got home freshened up and went to honor his
invite.

When I got there, true to his words this guy started introducing me to
his mum and family members as his wife to be, my people shame come dey
catch me, fear even catch me join, that's how our relationship started
o, I fell in love with him and we were together 24/7 .

After the burial he had to go back, I missed him so much but we kept communicating, after 2 weeks he invited me over to his place and we had so much fun, he took me places, treated me like a queen, I came back to school and the new boo made me forget my first love ,infact I started resenting him,
he tried coming between us though by refusing to leave me alone, I
told my love and he came in like my man and got a restraining order, we
got Officially engaged final year second semester and got married
after my final year project defence and we are already blessed with a
son,and its still lovey dovey.

I hope I did north west ya time jare, am not a good story teller.

Una well done..Good you got away from the Violent guy.

There's nothing sweet or lovely in an abusive relationship. The earlier you realised you deserved better, the sweeter it got for you.

  25. Nice story..some of the abuse a woman verbally, tell you how they've been spending on you and how you are ungrateful like he isn't doing it for love..then,they'll check your phone, call logs, messages, chats and call you a cheat even when they have no evidence.. How on earth do you expect a woman to love you when every time you guys meet it's quarrel, fight or accusations.. May God bless your home. That dude wouldn't have married.. He'll just keep beating till when your body turns old he'll go and marry someone else
