    2. He was allowed to leave she shores of Nigeria? Who approved it? He's a criminal and has a pending case. I doubt if he will ever return.

    3. I doubt it too. But if it's true, it means those who stood as guarantors for him are in trouble.

    4. He was arraigned at a magistrate court and granted bail. As long as he has perfected the  terms of his bail and as long as the bail conditions  do not expressly state that he ‎shouldn't leave the state or the country, he is free to travel. However, he must appear in court on the day of hearing. He can return to Nigeria on or before the 17th of February 2017, since his case will be heard on the 18th of February 2017.

Assuming without conceding that he jumps bail and fails to appear in court on the day of hearing, a bench warrant will be issued for his arrest whenever he steps foot in Nigeria. A warrant to show cause will be issued for his surety or sureties as well, where the bail bond will be forfeited. If his surety or sureties can not pay the bail bond, his surety or sureties will be remanded to prison custody.

If he were arraigned at a High court, the prosecuting State counsel can apply for his travel documents to be kept in the court's custody, if the State feels he is at flight risk. A magistrate hardly seizes the travel documents of an accused unless the court gets information, usually via an affidavit, that the accused is about to abscond.

He is free to travel but he is expected to return before the date of hearing.‎

What a shame. Beware of whom you admire in this life, thinking your own no better. Some get their money from doing shady unexpected things.
