Chairman of Zinox Group, Mr. Leo Stan Ekeh yesterday said that lack of humility has remained a very big obstacle among young Igbo people.
He made this statement during a youth entrepreneurship workshop held at the Imo state University, IMSU, auditorium. According to him, “There is a reason why young people in Igbo land do not grow. One is lack of humility. You see a boy who has N20,000 and he wants a professor to stand up for him. Let me tell you, if you are humble, God will promote you. You have to delete some things that are not relevant to your life and move forward.
“You cannot be negative and be successful. You must be positive to get something positive. This is the problem of an Igbo man”, adding that,“ most Igbo men are technically not rich.” Ekeh said that the current recession does not affect him because he was prepared for it, adding that, “I am not afraid of the recession and I am not affected. I do not have a god father. I use my knowledge to succeed.” While advising young people doing business, he said:
“ I must tell you, as a young man who is in business, have it at the back of your mind that when you are in business, you must lose money to make money.'”

Reading the word Recession and I just remembered one comedy skit featuring a Comedian, looking almost like Sai Himself. It was at a Press Conference and he was taking questions from the audience. He was answering till it got to the turn of a successful-looking gentleman all suited up.The young man asked a question. It had to do with the economy of the country.but the Sai said to him "You don't look recessed" 😂
And went on to ask him "Are you in Government? You should be investigated😂

ReplyDeleteIt pays to be humble but most times its been translated to stupidity, dunno y? Despite the recession and being unemployed, I always love to be positive and optimistic about what the future holds, quit negativity and constant complain, speak positive words in your life, business, career and see them manifest..
ReplyDeleteThe rich Igbos know what's up. They know how to behave and conduct themselves to become successful and remain successful.
ReplyDeleteIt is the poor poverty ridden ones with low mentality that are arrogant, tribalistic and will remain poor unless they change their attitude and mind set.
