My Story
I can not believe I am doing this " I muttered'' as I crawled out of my bed. Looking at the clock, it was 3:25am. I walked to my reading desk, powered my laptop as i juggled down memory lane in an attempt to do justice to Stella question "The Meeting Point"?


You See! In 2007, when I was in my second year at the University and I had just encountered Christ, we were encouraged to write down things we needed from God and we were to be specific. I flipped back to the last page of my church jotter and wrote down everything i needed in my husband. I was very specific that I even included his height and hair style (she laughs). I prayed honestly to God, trusting Him to do as I prayed.



Seven Years Later, I stumbled upon my old church jotter and as I was flipping through the pages I saw all the things I wrote down concerning my husband. I smiled, because I knew God answers prayers. The truth is that I did not know he does pays attention to little details.


You know that African adage that says "what you are looking for in Sokoto is right in your Shokoto" that pretty much explains our story. DH and I were neighbours, we greet when we see, gist a few times.I said ''when we see'' because we rarely see though neighbours. Wooh! this dude is smart and neat(my observations) but trust me, there was nothing more to that. I never saw him in that light, I just knew I had utmost respect for the young man.


Being Neighbours gave me the opportunity to study him closely. I must say His love for God and Humanity is simply contagious. Did I mention he is very disciplined, hmmm! In my own words, I would say "He is a fine gentleman".


Shortly, we became friends and then good friends. We gisted a lot, about our values, similarities, differences, goals and expectations in life. One Saturday Morning as I was cleaning my house, he came in to tell me he was moving out but not until he has told me about his undying love for me. OMG! this same guy I got utmost respect for was saying what to me? (Hehe)

 I was perplexed truly. 

As a chic, I just smiled(Inside of me I was thrilled), told him I appreciated the fact that we are good friends but he still wants us to be an item that I would get back to him(Winks).


Having trained myself to always double check everything even when I was certain, yet I still asked God for a sign. God and I had a good talk, and through prayers and the word of God He told me it is predestined.


I love my Husband so much and totally grateful to God for everything. Whenever, I tell people I met my hubby in my house, the look on their faces is always priceless. God did it for us, He will do it for you If only you believe.


Two years later, I showed him my book(Old Church Jotter) and he was amazed that he fits in perfectly.


That is my story, I really hope this story will give hope to some girl out there. Stella dear, thank you. Xoxo

*WOW!.....Please for the sake of others who might not know and be asking God for a sign....can someone please explain how this asking God and showing signs thing works?
