Meeting Point 35

Na wah!

My story goes thus; I was dating a guy of different religious belief Nd deep within us,we knew it wouldnt lead to the alter even though both of us wanted it badly(family ish).

Graduated, work made us far from each other and one day I prayed to God that if he knows I won't end up with boyfee, he should bring my man for me and break me free from boyfee cos the more the day goes by,the more I realize our parents WOULD NEVER accept.

Truly, the following night,I had a dream, saw myself married to a man with two kids(backing one of them) and cooking and my supposed husband came from work Nd I collected his bag ,bla bla. I woke up from the dream. Didn't take it serious till the following week I was going to take over my "shift" when suddenly I was stopped by one of the security guards,he was actually asking me to help him with a little cash ,how they hadn't been paid and some sad stories of his life.

As we were at the pavement talking,I noticed a guy passed us by(saw him coming out of a ward when I entered) with a "very big textbook". I still tease him till today with the textbook. He passed us and entered the next building, not knowing he was there waiting for me cos he knew I MUST pass that way. I ended my conversation with the guy Nd I proceeded to my dept when suddenly this same guy bust out of the building, you would know he was waiting for you to pass by. He greeted me Nd I answered.

The next thing was " I don't want to waste your time and my time,I will go straight to the point. My name is ............ and I have known you around for a while. You don't need to give an answer right now but I just want to tell you I want to marry you. No need playing girlfriend and boyfriend." . hian! Before I opened my mouth,he said please, don't say anything today.just go and think over it.

I remembered my dream but I didn't want to believe God will answer so soon.? I was running late to take over my duty.he sensed so too and he quickly said he was still around and will wait till I close later in the night but that he would come check me up in between before I round up. I just nodded and left

Hmnnnn. Two hours into my shift,I saw someone by the door in my office. Thank God,no work to tend to. I went outside to meet him.he apologized as a gentleman for intruding my work hours.he went further how he has been looking for me for the past two months after seeing me in my previous unit.

Asked around and all the ladies he was directed to ended up not being me. That he knew he must surely find me and that was the D-day and he wasnt gonna let me outta his sight again.I was pulling out of another relationship ,same profession as my dream husband and I wasn't ready for a new one.

Hmnnnn...... Found out we lived like three streets apart and that made it easier for him. He would take me home, till I enter my room,no matter how late I close from work,he must wait for me.he will call first thing in the morning when I m still in bed, that he is already at work(he is a workaholic till date).

To be candid,he was the opposite of what I wanted in a man, physically (profession, height, colour). I looked at all these and look back at the dream,I told myself, this is it!. This is him.this can't be a coincidence.

I found out that he has some qualities and vision almost exactly as I had and wanted. I decided to give it a try. He would do anything for me. Before you know it,he had called his family to introduce me and all his friends kept coming to pay homage at work(big guys fa) treating me like "an olori that I is".

Fast forward ,introduction 4 months after, wedding ,the next 3months and we are blessed with 3 adorables. 6yrs and still counting. He can be annoying sometimes anyways but we fight and make up and still do #shines teeth#.

He is the best man for me.we play like siblings and you wont know we are over 10yrs difference in age .I call him " choice".

*Goes back up to read again to understand well...

    6. Poster I don't understand some of these our beefees. But one thing I can say is I love your story. It is realistic and shows how God can intervene in man's affairs if we let him. Also sometimes the things we think we need may actually destroy us if we get it. God knows best.

  6. You mumbled up the details. Like you were deliberately trying to avoid being specific about certain things like profession, location etc.

  14. Title of the story
'The stalker , who loves me'

    Love is so sweet.

I wish you years of happiness.

One thing I have deduced from 'Meeting point' is, most female posters did not really marry their first choice maybe because of religion, or tribe , or heartbreak. They end up 'settling' then some grow to love who they marry.

    1. How you carry yourself and what you entertain matters a lot.
Stop wearing what attracts chewing gum boys, don't be lousy, rude or mannerless.
Most importantly let your trust be in God and not on man.
And soon,a prince will come for you when you become a princess.

  21. They would say boring na, but it is real and relatable. Not all these Danielle Steel novel love story.
Let me tell you something, Look in the mirror and look at ur self......are you perfect? don't you have your imperfections.......yet you are looking for a perfect man.
My own must was a guy that is doing well for himself, I'm not necessarily saying rich. But you MUST have a good job and be focused. And you must of course love me and respect me. Even every man doesn't start off being God fearing and born again Christian, if he has a good heart and he is atleast a church goer, you can encourage him. My friends husbands didn't even attend church before, but when he got married and saw how d wife was so dedicated to church, he's even d one dat wakes her up for service and church programs now.
Even an old lady gave me example of her husband who was a lawyer and doing well but a bad dresser she even felt ashamed of his dressing. But eventually she started suggesting things to him. Till date she's the one that buys material and got a tailor for him, dat makes all his nice natives.
The best presents don't always come in the best of packaging. Not to say I'm advising you shld marry a broke ugly man o. But it takes wisdom and prayer to really ascertain who is best for you. And listen to ur elders, they most often see things love has blinded you from seeing and 90percent of d time they are right.
