Federal government may exhume the body of Miss Ifedolapo Oladepo, a serving corps member in Kano State who died in controversial circumstance to ascertain the cause of her death.
President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday ordered for investigation into her death.
Speaking with State House Correspondents on Thursday, the Minister of Sports and Youth Development, Mr. Solomon Dalong who however corroborated the official report of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC on the death said that in view of the different reports that have emerged, an autopsy might be an option to ascertain the true cause of the death.
“The report given by NYSC is normal and natural, that after investigation they must present their own report on what has happened but in view of the fact that they are many versions on what led to the death of the NYSC member, it would be fair to look at another version of what happened to be sure of what actually transpired.
“It doesn’t have to do with not trusting the process but gauge the report alongside other opinion. Then we will now be able to tell Nigerians that this is the circumstances on how she died.
“Don’t forget that the report of the NYSC has no autopsy and an independent investigation will require an autopsy and now the autopsy alongside the report will balance and it will fortify the conclusion the government will make”, he said.
From Vanguard.
This is getting really serious.
ReplyDeleteAm impressed for once.
So couldn't the autopsy be done before she was buried?
DeleteWill autopsy bring back the dead? Sloppiness and strong headedness caused the death, carrying out stupid autopsy is only a diversionary tactic to exonorate the NYSC officials.
Autopsy my foot .... Mtcheeeew
RIP miss Ife Oladepo.
When Rest in peace really means REST IN PEACE
DeleteFG pls let her rest in peace oo
Fish brain dalung.
DeleteGood!
DeleteBut they would have done it before her burial
This is like poking on the family's pains (watching her being brought out again, chai)
For the sake of justice however, let it be done! She is gone already and the dead body has nothing to do with resting in peace!
I pray they don't manipulate the result
RIP poor girl #life#
Seriously
DeleteOwkoo
DeleteThis more better than assumsing.so the friends and family mind can be in peace.

When they can also manipulate autopsy report..God knows best.. they shd let her rest..
ReplyDeleteExactly My tots.😏
DeleteDon't mind them...All Na wash
DeleteThe family should be the one demanding for autopsy and not FG trying to "cover their shame"
What they should have done..They refused to do
Scrap this nonsense.
@Galore
Please they should leave this girl to rest in peace. Stupid nysc. Everyone knows u dnt kip drugs in ur clinic only vitamin c and paracetamol. With their corper doctor's and nurses there that will not attend to sick corpers like professionals.
ReplyDeleteThey are corpers too,if your sick takia of your self before embarking on any journey to serve Nigeria. Besides why do that always leave that clinic for corper doctors and nurses?.
DeleteWhat an ignorant statement, "if your sick takia of yourself before embarking on any journey to serve Nigeria". So are you unaware that she fell ill while in camp??
DeleteIt's not called for na...
ReplyDeleteStella please remember to re do the rivers state election post ( movement restriction)
You said someone should remind you.
Good morning to u Stella and all BVs hope ya'll slept well.
They should leave this girl spirit to rest on.If she died out of negligence,i pray Karma visits the responsible persons timely.
ReplyDeleteRip Ifedolapo
They should leave this girl spirit to rest on.If she died out of negligence,i pray Karma visits the responsible persons timely.
ReplyDeleteRip Ifedolapo
Government works with facts not with karma. Ok
DeleteEnter your comment...nigeria what a fail country even with the autopsy nothing go come out
ReplyDeleteWow That's serious.
ReplyDeleteHmmm....dis is getting more serious. Good morning FAM
ReplyDeleteGood morning everyone, I really feel they should let the Lady rest in peace.FG sha why didnt they perform autopsy before the burial? which autopsy revealed that she had kidney failure? make God just help us for this country
ReplyDeleteGood morning everyone, I really feel they should let the Lady rest in peace.FG sha why didnt they perform autopsy before the burial? which autopsy revealed that she had kidney failure? make God just help us for this country
ReplyDeleteI agree with the FG on this. Losing a child/sibling is such a painful experience especially when it could have bn averted.
ReplyDelete#I am a fruitful vine, I am a joyful mother of covenant children
Abeg they should leave the body alone joor...is not as if they would anything sef after their findings
ReplyDeleteYeah...thats a good one...
ReplyDeleteWho were those who said she had an infection? Aha it was nysc kwo?
ReplyDeleteAbeegggi!they should leave this matter and allow the girl to rest in peace. Will her parents even agree? It can't bring her back to life now. Haaaa wahala dey!
ReplyDeleteThey should just let the girl rest..the autopsy wont bring her back..this is too painful.very young and intelligent girl
ReplyDeleteExactly my tots dear.buh I guess it wil serve as a warning against next time. I just pray they don't manupulate the result to favour them.
DeleteHmmmmmm, please they should allow this family to mourn this girl in peace
ReplyDeleteThis is what they should have done in the first instance. An autopsy should have been carried out before the burial!!!! They should just get on with whatever, and allow her soul rest. #sad
ReplyDeleteAhhh.. why? omolomo, make d family no gree o! kilode? make dem allow d girl rest jare.. was d govt sleeping b4?
ReplyDeleteNa so
ReplyDeletethey should just allow her to rest biko, it's negligence, seeing all dese I might opt for exemption, Cus me I no kukuma strong, no b by force to serve Nigeria, Mtscheew stressful nation.
ReplyDeleteWe hear
ReplyDeleteAnd what would they do after they exhume the body and find the real cause? NOTHING AS USUAL!
ReplyDeleteVery good. Kidney disease will definitely show and if it was anaphylactic reaction from drugs it will also show, if she died from suffocation from asthma as was earlier stated we will know. this is the only way justice will be done. I know many Nigerians will be against this but you all called for justice, so it is appropriate to get some facts not just to go and catch some group of people and pass jungle justice on them.
ReplyDeleteWhat if they manipulate the result?
DeleteGood morning Vuhari!!!!
ReplyDeleteAbeg allow the family remember good memories of their loved ones. All these won't bring back their loved one!!!!!
Scrap NYSC or provide better living conditions and health care.
May God comfort the family!
Will it change anything?
ReplyDeleteI wanda ooo, even if nysc is found quilty who would be held responsible? Is the the coper doc or the nysc officials or the DG? Mshewwww the whole thing just tire perzin.
Deleteit's a good and welcome development
ReplyDeleteThey should just allow the lady rest in peace. In as much as the intent may be genuine but I don't trust the end result of it. Besides, it's obvious fact that thhe gal has renal problem which deteriorated and resulted in the death. So cause of death is known, the question is if Autopsy will indict d negligence of NYSC officials? Which they have come out to denied that it's true but due to bottling up on d lady's part. So they should allow the lady rest in peace rather than cutting her body, delaying investigation and at d end corroborating NYSC's position.
ReplyDeleteExactly they will just manipulate the result to corroborate that of nysc.
DeleteIt's such a pity that such a young soul had to die due to lack of respect for human life, if only they acted fast, maybe she wouldn't have died.
ReplyDeleteThey should just allow this girl to rest
ReplyDeleteNo amount of autopsy or press release would bring her back
There's no way nysc is ever going to take responsibility for her death
Well unless her family is in support of that
Oops,in a civilised country they won't Bury the corpse without knowing the true cause of death. But because Nigeria dose not care about it citizens they allowed the grieving family to take the corpse and Bury her like that. Rubbish and now they want to exhume it to clear their names. Fucked country
ReplyDeleteBiko allow her to RIP...CLUELESS PEOPLE.BOTH FG AND NYSC...Y UNA NO DO AUTOPSY BEFORE BURIAL??
ReplyDeleteHa..pls they should allpw her rest joor...chai death!!!
ReplyDeleteGood morning everyone
How was the night
Have been so busy,no time to comment,i only just read and go.to bed.
Medicine after death
ReplyDeleteAutopsy to prove what now? when she's gone already??? let them let her rest jare
ReplyDeleteThe NYSC,Fed government failed. They should let it rest and work to.better. their services.
ReplyDeleteIt is not whether she had kidney infection or whatever. The issue is did she get the attention needed when she cried out? Was she taken to the hospital at the appropriate time? Did she get the adequate care needed, even if she was meant to die? Sometimes, you can have closure faster When you know everything was done that should have been done. It is easier to heal and let go. But when you know enough care and attention was not given, You live with anger for a long time that something could have been done.
May God help us and deliver us from all forms of carelessness. Amen.
God bless you!!
DeleteThe issue here is not the cause of death but the fact that she didn't get prompt medical attention and wasn't transferred to the teaching hospital ASAP.
Ohhhh God!Which kind country dey born me put sef? This government doing the right thing at the wrong time!Allow this lady to rest biko and think of how to fill ur loopholes.
ReplyDeleteThey are trying too hard to clear their name, they should allow this girl to rest in peace
ReplyDeleteWhich one is allowed her rest? She's already resting, is her remains that the federal government want to use not her soul.
ReplyDeleteThis is a very nice move by the FG, I was thinking how the investigation would have been possible without an autopsy! Now, this is how an investigation should look like.
This is a good move at least with these they(nysc) will sit up, but can they just let the dead rip
ReplyDeleteThey should allow her to rest on and not cause more complications in her family. Autopsy result will surely be tampered with. Who fit defeat federal Government? RIP Ifeoluwa
ReplyDeleteTHEY SHOULD LET THIS GIRL REST IN PEACE AND LET HER FAMILY MOURN HER AND HEAL GRADUALLY!
ReplyDeleteThis is putting the cart before the horse! Autopsy should have been done immediately she died before buried! Continue to rest in peace Ifedolapo.
Nigeria: A country with 170million ways to be an idiot.
ReplyDeleteWhy didn't they carry out autopsy before burial?? Now they want to exhume and put this family through another emotional stress.
Sometimes, I just feel ashamed for Nigerian youths, imagine all the people here saying they should let her rest; you are among Nigerian youngsters who does not know their rights.
ReplyDeleteIs not only about screaming hunger all the times, you people should learn how to hold your government officials responsible. Demand for answers, 3 young brains died out of carelessness and incompetence; and nobody could demand for tangible answers, but you all can run online and be insulting yourselves.
Those corpers were part of our future leaders that would have helped and be useful to the country, but their lives were cut short and no one cares to truly know the cause of their demise, the government decided to take it up and some are still not satisfied.
If this has been the norm, I believe most of those top government officials would have taken their various obligations seriously.
We should stop this attitude of I don care.
All those that died within a short period has families, friends and neighbours who cares, they should know the reason for their sudden demise. After they're done with Ifedolapo, I believe the other families will also demand for answers.
May they continue to rest.
If FG really wanted to investigate why didn't they run an autopsy before she was buried?! They came up with this knowing the family won't be in support of it,
DeleteMrs Roman, what makes you think they won't manipulate the result to correspond with that of NYSC? This is Nigeria where anything can happen
DeleteThis our government like acting as if they are serious and at the end they will manipulate everything.
ReplyDeleteThey should just let the girl body to rest abeg.
Imagine how many comment saying they should allow her to rest in peace. Who told you she is not resting in peace? What kind of senseless people do we have in this country?
ReplyDeleteNysc corp members are even suppose to protest, parents are supposed to protest. We cannot keep sweeping things under the carpet in this country, it is very disgusting. Now, we are leaving issues for karma...karma really? It does not matter if she has a previous health issue, she still died out of negligence. You do not pack people inside camp for one month when there are no proper health system already in place.
Someone died out of negligence and the Government wants to carry out a proper investigation, this is truly commendable. People are suppose to rejoice .
KING XOXO MYSTERY
Xoxo mystery, proper investigation?in Nigeria? I laugh....they wld still do autopsy and say it was all the girls fault. The autopsy is being done to further exonerate NYSC from negligence.the only thing I agree is that there shld be Protest and the corpers shld fight for their rights. You can imagine some people blaming the corper of yesterday for her experience. Nigerian youths still have a long way to go before we can learn to hold our leaders accountable..,
DeleteXoxo, you are not as intelligent as you portray.
DeleteWhy do you think bvs are saying the girl should be allowed to rest in peace???
Hello, wake up to the reality that this is Nigeria not " the abroad " where things like these work.
We have no trust in the system and quote me, nothing good will come out from this because the autopsy will be manipulated.
Chysugar...I cannot believe you are one of the senseless commenters saying they should allow her to rest in peace. I actually see you as a smart person but who knows?
ReplyDeleteKING XOXO MYSTERY
Hmm... I pray this turns out well sha.
ReplyDeleteOmolomo, rest in peace!
Reactive leaders, literally ;medicine after death. Can't we for once get things right? Were did we ever go wrong as Nigerians? That dalung Man is busy junketing to go do another man's business while the Falcons that made Nigeria proud against all odds are languishing at Agura hotel. Oga, is it when they die of hunger and frustration, then you people will do what you know best;running around like headless chickens. I pray you guys get a taste of your own medicine one day.
ReplyDeleteMedicine after death......iranu oshi
ReplyDeleteWill autopsy bring back the dead?
ReplyDeleteOK.noted
ReplyDeleteAbeg allow the girl rest in peace. Have you seen a corpse that went through autopsy's you will cry. They Dissert the body into parts ooo. Has enough not been done to the girl. Fg just compensate the family jejely and close the case bikoooo. What are they dragging? Will that bring the dead girl back to life? Bikoo
ReplyDeleteFamous in death. Not at all what we pray for. May God grant her loved ones the strength to bear this painful loss.
