The Bible celebrates THE BIRTH OF JESUS CHRIST and not this thing that Christians have turned it into......You know what I mean!
Now what i want to know is how does the Bible advice Christians to celebrate the Birth of Our Lord Jesus Christ?Who named it CHRISTMAS and what does it mean?CHRIST i know but what is MAS?
We have forgotten the message that comes with the Birth and people are only now interested in what they can get Material wise during Christmas....
Now you can go ahead and preach BUT ONLY if you understand what this rant is about...Thanks.

come to house on the rock on Sunday and know the true meaning of Christmas.it is not lodging in a hotel with a prostitute, smoking marijuana, getting drunk, buying a new car or house it's simply the birth of Christ our hope of Salvation, the one continually intercedes for us 😢😢oo How i love Jesus
DeleteChristmas was a pagan holiday
DeleteOf course Christmas is man-made. The date was actually for a pagan festival until it was hijacked by the roman Catholics.
DeleteHouse on the rock is an illuminati church... Let me stop here.....
DeleteWow,
DeleteThis calls for a sobber reflection
God help us.the birth of out lord is gradually losing its meaning.

I beliv in Christmas, I bliv in Christ birth.
DeleteIn my opinion, we are celebrating the birth of our savior. Even the three wise men had to come with gifts to worship him.
DeleteWe're happy and glad that he was born else we would still have to sacrifice goats and sheeps for the atonement of our sins.
And to even think that people use this period to do good is enough reason sef.
Well, Christmas is sweet, it's sweet.
Don't mind the writer, some people will just finish smoking whatever hard drug they lay their hands on and begin overthinking.what rubbish question is this?even you yourself do no have answers.Mad person.

Ndo oh!
hahahaha small boy, father christmas is next to a manger
ReplyDeleteWell My dear Its not because christmas wasnt mentioned in the bible means its not worth celebrating. The name 'Mass' means to celebrate as done in the catholic church so christmas means celebration Of christ so its not out of place to celebrate it. I know you may be about the pagan origin, just leave that aside..The question how is you and I celebrating it??
ReplyDeleteIts like God said we should have sex in the context of marriage but he didnt mention the styles but with human knowledge we came about them because it was created to be enjoyed by us..Thats why man has been given freewill.
Right on point.
DeleteGbam
DeleteI raise father Christmas prick for yu.. 3gbosas
DeleteYou couldn't have said it any better
DeleteOn point!!! I love Christmas. No apologies. Besides God gave man power to name everything. Poster, y don't u forget the name and concentrate on the reason for the season/celebration. Do what is right and forget what others are doing. Besides, who made you a jugde?
DeleteOfcourse its man-made...
ReplyDeleteXtians don't dig deep for facts & origin, they just nod and follow the crowd, cus ur ancestors handed it down to you, christianity borrowed and copied alot from Pagans, and jews, lemme not even get started by dissecting christianity.......
I have more respect for the Jehova witnesses.y
I knew you'd be hyper with this post.
DeleteChristmas has a pagan origin because the Romans found it difficult accepting the birth of Jesus. The Christian leaders had to move the celebration of the birth of Jesus (which was originally March) to December 25th because December 25th was an important celebration in the life of the pagans then
Shut that your ugly mouth and face ur Jehova nonsense b4 someone shut it 4 you. Ewu
Delete@Tee_y
As your name implies. If you thinking finding facts about any religion, believe me no one will have any religion. Just accept it the way it comes.
DeleteAlways jumpy when it comes to issues on Christianity.
DeleteClap for yourself 👏
I think there are better ways to correct an impression without making the person feel like an idiot. I guess thats what they refer to as 'constructive criticism'.
DeleteBTW, Atheist since I've been taking note of your comments on this blog, you don't seem to have a problem with the idea of 'God'. You seem to have a problem with religion, or let me reemphasise, CHRISTIANITY. You don't have a problem with Islam... You aren't a true atheist but you can correct me if I'm wrong.
I ll like to be your friend? Hope you don't mind.
DeleteWe grew up like this. I mean understanding it the way we are going about it now period!
ReplyDeleteI don't have the strength to stress my head.
Me too
DeleteWho named d celebration of Christ death Easter? But christians all over celebrate it. They even celebrate it on differnt dates yearly, but no contest abt it. The significance of the celebration matters more than all what ppl are saying against christmas. We remember that our saviour was born and we celebrate his coming into the world. That is enough for me. Anyone who feels it is a pagan celebration should fast at home on christmas day. Shikena!
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteDifferent factors contributed to the selection of the xmas date being Dec 25th, it was the date of the winter solstice on the Roman calendar, it was nine months after March BC, a date that was linked to the conception of Jesus, and it was the same date the Roman pagan festival used in honor of the Sun god Sol Invictus.
ReplyDeleteSo you see, christianity, na copy copy full am, DON'T FOLLOW BLINDLY.
Are you sure you won't have an orgasm on this post?
DeleteYour food is ready. LOL
DeleteShut it up, that thing you call mouth! Religion is not by force! We love God & accept him, is it you business, Uche! Let it copy, copy! E concern you? Us it your paganism? Even if the date tallies, as long as we don't worship the pagan idols on that same day, all is well! Date can be the same, but essence/reason is different!
DeleteAny Christian worth his salt (those who study the bible and history too ) knows all this. So save yourself the trouble, you ain't exactly giving us news. Stick to your beliefs and let Christians and Jehovah's witnesses stick to theirs.
DeleteI do not care what this date used to be used for. All I care is that it's a day we Christians have chosen to celebrate Christ. I dunno why the thing is paining you like this atheist. May u not choke on ur hatred for Christianity. We didn't beg you to help us accept the date.
DeleteWhat is Truth? What is belief? All we know we have been taught and all belief is but acceptance. Atheism as a negation of religious belief is itself religious belief because you cannot negate what is not. The important thing is not what is historically correct but how our actions as believers and atheists impact others. If we affect others for good, we are good. Any other thing is bull notwithstanding what we profess. Selah.
DeletePeople who do not believe in God/Religion always do everything within their power to recruit new members. Tsk-tsk👎
DeleteAnon 11:59 your head correct

My own definition.....
I love you for this!

Hmmmmm, I know Jehovah witnesses will sooooo love this! I know it's not in the bible & neither is Easter... Is the use if handset, birthdays & all in the bible? No! But, I WILL continue to celebrate it & still continue forever & ever, amen!!!
ReplyDelete... Jesus is my worth!
That comparison is wrong. Those things u mentioned are manmade inventions to make the lives of humans better and easier. Should innovations be made in religion, too, despite good intentions? Is religion not complete in itself that subsequent additions should be made to it?
DeleteThe road to hell is paved with good intentions. Selah.
Lol @ Christ I know, what is Mas ?
ReplyDeleteThis shit writeup comes up every year if you don't celebrate christmas shut your mouth and allow others celebrate it simple as abc

ReplyDeleteWhy is the 25th of December the chosen day sef? Were they using this type of calendar during Jesus's time? I need answers
ReplyDelete#Missfit
Christmas is a day chosen in celebrating our Lord Jesus christ and if you or anybody is not pleased with this, please go and commit suicide.
ReplyDeleteNonye inspired has said it all! Thanks.
ReplyDelete... Jesus is my worth!
This is a day adopted once in a year, to celebrate the birth of Jesus. Whose birth led to our freedom, sanctification, redemption and salvation. It is a day dat shld be looked forward to, to be grateful for the love of God towards us and He sending His only begotten son.
ReplyDeleteIt is a day, that the purpose of Jesus' birth should be preached to everyone.
A day to express God's love around and invite people to accept this love of God, and come into the fold (children of God).
I agree w d poster, dat d purpose is being aabused. This post should be a wake up call to all believers to re-strategize on their plans and carry the message of salvation in all and everywhere they go.
The custom: According to tradition, Jesus’ birth took place on December 25 and is celebrated on that date. “Christmas,” says the Encyclopedia of Religion, means “‘Christ’s Mass,’ that is, the mass celebrating the feast of Christ’s nativity,” or birth.
ReplyDeleteIts roots: “The establishment of December 25 evolved not from biblical precedent,” says The Christmas Encyclopedia, “but from pagan Roman festivals held at year’s end,” about the time of the winter solstice in the Northern Hemisphere. Those festivals included the Saturnalia, in honor of Saturn, god of agriculture, “and the combined festivals of two sun gods, the Roman Sol and the Persian Mithra,” says the same encyclopedia. Both birthdays were celebrated on December 25, the winter solstice according to the Julian calendar. Those pagan festivals began to be “Christianized” in the year 350, when Pope Julius I declared December 25 to be Christ’s birthday. “The Nativity gradually absorbed or supplanted all other solstice rites,” says the Encyclopedia of Religion. “Solar imagery came increasingly to be used to portray the risen Christ (who was also called Sol Invictus), and the old solar disk . . . became the halo of Christian saints.
Someone has taken the stress to go to Wikipedia for you people.
DeleteThank you Rhoda Rex
The Bible does not give Jesus’ birth date. But we can safely conclude that he was not born on December 25. How so? The Bible tells us that when Jesus was born, shepherds were “living out of doors” tending their flocks at night in the vicinity of Bethlehem. (Luke 2:8) The cold, rainy season usually began in October, and shepherds—especially in the colder highlands, such as those around Bethlehem—brought their sheep into protected shelters at night. The coldest weather, sometimes accompanied by snow, occurred in December. Significantly, the earlyChristians, many of whom had accompanied Jesus in his ministry, never celebrated his birth on any date. Rather, in harmony with his command, they commemorated only his death. (Luke 22:17-20; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26) Still, some may say, ‘Does the pagan connection really matter?’ The answer? It does to God.
ReplyDeleteU said it all.Rhoda Rex Christmas it a pagan celebration not for Christians.DAT day was set aside for the worship of the sun god not God,s son.Christmas its not biblical.
DeleteRhoda Rex, ar u a witness?..coz u definitely just sounded like one
DeleteLemme read comments.... Grabs kunu and popcorn........... Xoxo
ReplyDeleteOkay
ReplyDeleteDecember 25th was a day set aside by pagans to celebrate their sun God which they believed was the source of all lives.
ReplyDeleteWhen the gospel of Christ was spreading and Romans became Christians and the Roman Catholic Church was found, they tried to convert these pagans to Christ. They used both force and persuasion.
Eventually, pagans began to convert both willingly and reluctantly, but didn't let go off their ingrained beliefs and secretly still worshipped their sun god on 25th.
The Roman Catholic Church then decided in order to stop them from their paganism when all other efforts have failed, they decided to use that day to celebrate Christ by having a special mass. That is why the name CHRIST'S MASS. Shortened for Christmas.
Over the years, the essence has been lost due to commercialization. It began from the western countries. Santa Claus was actually a kind and generous man named Nicholas who gave food to the poor on Christmas day. He was nick named father of Christmas, later saint Nicholas. Later Santa Claus!
Christ was actually born in October. The Catholic Church knows but will not divulge it. Just as Saturday was actually the sabbath day, but they changed it to Sunday because of the same pagans who worship their sun god on sundays!
Christmas:Coined from Christ Mass. A Catholic Church Mass celebration to mark the birth of Jesus Christ. Santa, Elfs, Sleigh no follow. Giving gifts was to emphasize the ultimate gift of God to mankind i.e Jesus Christ. The gifting part has also been taken out of context. Tu comprende?
ReplyDeleteOld gist
ReplyDeletePoster face your work, leave us to celebrate our Christmas. If you like don't even eat throughout that day.
