  1. If i had a gun when i carried a colleague, the day they broke my window last year in Ijora, i would have shot the idiot. Up till now, i am still using my eyes to scan for that idiotic tall and black fool. Anyday i will see him, i will jam him badly.

I dont support jungle justice but at times, it is better when they are caught at it.

These thieves dont pity people at all but they want pity. Odiro possible now.

  4. "It is easier to sympathise when you have never been a victim". My friend told me this in 2011 in front of Enugu State high court. I was about giving one of the prisoners money. He had sores and looked sick. He asked me for money. I asked my colleague because I didn't have my bag with me. That quote was what she said to me. She went ahead to narrate her family's ordeal in the hands of hoodlums. She asked me if I have ever encountered them. I said no. She now made that statement and went away.

  5. The day a thief grabbed my phone
I didn't even shout I jus watched him run away.
In my mind, I was like, if I shout them carry fuel begin burn am now, how will I sleep at night? Knowing that a life was taken for the sake of my phone. It was last year December, I just kept watching him as he ran away. Funny enough the phone screen was just a Lil cracked

    1. But what if God forbid you were stabbed some where before the phone was taken from you, would you still have same thought.. Some of these thieves don't even drag the phone from you. They stab you for behind before taking. That guy that was burnt yesterday stabbed the lady he took the phone from before he was caught. Same way thru stabbed this guy's brother before taking the phone

    2. Must your property have Coma? That crack talk wasn't necessary.

Was it intended to seek pity?

  6. I won't judge him. Like he said if you haven't been a victim you won't know how it hurts. Pain and vengeance has a way of twisting people's minds. My brother's friend was also a victim at that same Alafia bus stop, thank God he wasn't stabbed but he was injured. How can thieves go about stabbing people just to rob them of their phones? The real problem is that we have a dead judicial system. The police are doing little to help, so people have decided to take the laws into their hands but at the end of the day, the fact still remains that taking another's life cannot bring back the dead. I pray that the peace of God will heal the hearts of all those involved.

I have been robbed at gunpoint like four times, one bursted my forehead with a gun butt, marched me out of bed 2am. I was traumatized for months.

I will join mob to lynch an armed robber, that's for sure but not hungry thief stealing garri in the market.

  10. Jungle justice is very horrible ooo,but their are some cases that u cannot help but say it serves them right. for example,an old woman was robbed and raped at her home in rivers state, the lady was I a horrible state, the culprit was found by the vigilante in the area,he was beaten and injected with sniper before the police arrived,I didn't feel pity for him for any reason infact I wished they used machine saw to chop off his body slowly in other to send a message across to his fellow criminals.

This is very emotional for me.
My heart goes out to the parents especially the mom who had to watch her son....helplessly and no help in sight.
Ooooooogosh, I know she will forever be hunted by that image.
I don't encourage jungle justice, but common, at times one has to take a decision even if harsh to make a statement to put a stop to horrible happenings.

  13. When it has to do with an unrepentant thief, I support it fully. And the story is he stabbed the lady he took the phone from before he was caught. .. So please why should he be alive? Jungle justice should be melted out to thieves and rapist. Don't let the police handle it. They go to jail and come out more hardened.

Sorry for the loss of your brother..

    1. I will never ever support jungle justice. What happened to his brother is sad very sad. But the moment we start murdering people on the streets, it makes us no different than those monsters and i am not a monster. Nigeria really needs to fix its justice system. They are taking laws into their hands cos they know that if they hand them over to the police, they will be in a couple of weeks tops.

      Delete
    2. You are right Robyna, we shouldn't let them turn us into monsters that they are. The reason why jungle justice is so prevalent these days is that people have lost all hopes on our judicial and enforcement agencies. When these thieves are caught our enforcement agencies let them free. It's really sad

  15. This Jungle justice issue is very controversial, some times I tend to support it, other times, i'm against it, I still picture the faces of Aluu4 time after time, I've been haunted and traumatised by that horrible video.
I've had a secondary experience with a criminal who was killed 2 days after, was at my former work place(hospital) somewhere in Eleme, this guy came in (his name is sunny, an Ngwa boy, but born and bred in eleme), his dad was hit by a vehicle, the driver of d vehicle brought him to d hospital, paid his bills upfront, he was getting better, then he died sadly, so his kids have been asking who hit him since the day he was brought in, the hospital mgt told the mum and the only sane brother, they hid it from the insane ones, that fateful Monday morning the man died, the nurses were jittery, they've had encounters with this boy and his gang especially during the election, he was shot, he held a doctor at gunpoint an demanded he operated him asap, he comes in destroys everywhere, you get him arrested, but he's back to d street d next day, he runs that side of the street with his boys (14 yrs and above) all carrying local pistols, they've raped, killed, maimed, stolen, done all sorts... the nurses and Eleme inhabitants were saying his stories and asking that the mgt call security or better still lock up and run away.
This guy now came in, went to the ward didn't see his father, his mum ran in after him, telling him let's go home, you need to see the way he flung this woman, she landed several feets away and fainted, some other Eleme people were trying to talk to him, this guy took out a packet of tramadol and put 6 TABS in his mouth, JESUS!!!! Then he now said "una say make I go, ok! I dey go", people were now saying, let everybody leave this place o, this boy is coming back with his gang, the Mgt just said lock up the gates, we are trying to reach security, before you would say Jack, see gunshots, dunno how the gates flung open see small small boys shooting up and down, see everybody scampering for safety, nurses have discarded their whites since 1960, I found myself in the generator room, there's a smaller room in there, so I locked myself in there with a colleague , my heart was beating sporadically, was just crying, I want to go home. The guy was breaking doors looking for doctors or nurses, then we heard the sound of sirens, they fled. Sanity was restored, but he promised to come back.
I didn't go to work the next day and d day after, was at home 2 days after the incident, got a call from a colleague, she was like "Sunny is dead, sunny is dead", I was like what happened, she said jungle justice, someone that was arrested that day, he came out the same evening, went out to rob the next day, slashed someone's face in d process, vigilantes caught him, refused to hand him over to his patrons as usual but decided to end it for him (God hardened their hearts). I was just so excited, I can now resume work.

Now, this is just a secondary experience, think about those ones who have been held at gunpoint shot at, maimed, blinded, raped, killed, how would they feel when they hear this.

Seriously, our sanity can only be restored when our security agencies and judicial system is restored, some people have been robbed by the same set of criminals year after year, they get arrested but they come back to your house to rob again, how were they released? who released them? They are not even scared of getting arrested.

    1. The work of police is to send these thieves to steal from general public collect their share, extort money from the victim to register case
That's what they told me last week @ ajao police station when I went to report that a thief broke into my compound, brkmy generator house & steal my generator in the afternoon when everybody has gone to work & our mallam gate man is sleeping the shameless police woman told me to bring 2k to register my case as if they can find the generator, I simply told her I don't have money ooo that I just came to inform u guys what's happening in the area u pple are policing & left them
Until Nigeria police sit up & kne their job jungle justice will never stop cos is the hope of a common man. Court &police has failed us.

  18. If we had a reliable criminal justice system, our sanity, lives and properties will not be lost. Some thugs have been set free because of the services they render to dubious politicians who must have their way either by hook or by crook. Advocating for a zero jungle justice, does not in any way suggest taking sides with obvious criminals but simply preaching the gospel of respecting all lives no matter whose it is- sinners or saints. Treating defaulters the same way they treat people makes no difference and no impact, it only sends a wrong message. It will be assumed that we are all the same but the only difference is that the table just turned. With jungle justice, there is barely a chance to save that life through transformation...yinmu.

Here's the thing, if I wasn't close to the house I would have bled to death. Lord knows, I would not lynch anyone but I would feel nothing short of utter satisfaction if the animal who stabbed me suffered a fate like that.

  27. I am sure we all on this platform understand what murder is and what God says about murder. I was rapped not by one but many, I took the laws into my hands to have them beaten before ppl interfered and had them taken to the station. Did I feel good about beating them up? NO. Did the pain go away? NO. Did I feel better after they apologized and I forgave? YES. To err is human, to forgive is divine.
For those victims, jungle justice won't bring the dead back neither will it kill the pain. Forgiveness and the law will.

  32. Regardless jungle justice is a no no for me. In 2013 I was on my way back from the airport. I parked there cos my trip to dubia was just for 5days in total. I got to the traffic on mile 2 bridge when I heard boom before I could recover I realised my glass on the drivers side and back seat have been smashed. I watched them take my hand bag containing my passport, iPhone, apple tab and my laptop and my Nikon camera I just got the day before dutyfree.they also took along with them a small luggage I had containing the main reason I went for that trip. After the deed people came down and told me sorry. I didn't move. I was transfixed I didn't utter a word. When the traffic moved I drove off shaking for the first time in my life a gun was pointed at me while two other guys robbed me. I drove all the way to my friends house and I didn't start weeping until I got there. The security guy came to see what happened to my car and saw me all bloody my friends heard him and came out. I was taken to the hospital and I had to pay a huge debt to the customers that paid ahead for their gold plus I lost all my life savings. If those guys were caught on that day I would have handed them over to the police I won't have allowed them to be killed just like that. There are things that makes us human. We shouldn't lose it.

On one hand i sympathize with the victims of the attack on the other hand jungle justice is not the solution. The police need to start doing their jobs plssss as fast as they can. When ever i remember those ALUU guys i weep. May God help us all and guide us Amen

    ReplyDelete
  35. I am on the fence on this issue cos it is when it happens to you or someone close to home, one would know how to react. Also, when you remember the case of ALUU 4 you realise there will always be innocent ones in the cause of jungle justice. It is just sad that they not only rob but have to inflict injury and worse kill in the process of robbing the person. Our judicial system as well as the police force needs a total overhaul else we would be faced with these situations frequently.

  38. When we refuse to allow a country to work, chaos is inevitable. A young man gets stabbed. Everyone is too afraid to help - even hospitals. Some hospitals can't anyway and they don't want the spotlight on their shoddy practice.

Also, those who have helped in the past have often found themselves regretting or being punished for choosing to help.

But why are those buys stealing too and killing people. These has gone beyond them merely trying to survive. They are evil and deranged, yet themselves often victims of the wickedness of others.

At the end of the say, it is still true, Nigeria is one big pot of shit. We may hate the shit, but we all threw our own bit inside the pot. We may all say but some people's shit was bigger, which may be true. But if the pot of shit will become a pot of water we can all drink from, we all have to contribute to cleaning it out and then fetching the water into it. And even then, some will clean more than others. Some will fetch in more water than others. Some will drink more than others too. But as long as we have a sustainable put of clean water we can all drink from, we'd be OK.

I prefer a sustainable pot of clean water over a sustainable pot of shit. You nko?
