I graduated from UNILAG with a 3rd class but I thank God for where I am now. Had the opportunity to CV come abroad, had a masters, BSc and ACCA and God has made my life sweet.
Some of my mates who even had 2.1 don't earn a quarter of what I earn in a month.
All glory to God and thanks to my mum and husband. So be careful how you throw shades cos I can assure you some that had 2.1 or First class in Stella's class or year in university might not be doing half as well or achieved a quarter of what she has.
Be there throwing shades and be commenting on a blog created by someone who you accuse of graduating with 3rd class.

ReplyDeleteSometimes,the lecturers make it difficult for one to get good grades so I don't necessarily blame him cos if in a 6unit course,you are given a D or an E,it automatically affects your GPA so he has a point.

ReplyDeleteIf u read well and can defend yourself in case of a resit, nobody can give you third class, they tried me, I rewrote my exams before d panel when I contested my result, the panel marked my papers and scored me, I graduated with a 1st class hons!

DeleteI did a four units course in my year one and the course coordinator didn't record our test scores(everyone who did the course), the exam scores which is over 70 was recorded as your overall score. So if you had 60/70, it means you have 60/100, so you can imagine what the results looked like. It placed all of us at B, C, D, E and even F! Nobody had an A.
The results was released when we resumed for the next semester, we went to complain to our course adviser, our course adviser asked us to meet the course coordinator of the course, everyday we would go to look for this woman(we borrowed the course from another faculty) and she was never always around. Before we knew what was happening, the results had been uploaded by CITS to the individual student's page, no change at all! It was there we accepted our fate and recalculated our GPs!
With the wrong spellings I see here, I'm not surprised, the rate of 3rd class is and will be high.

ReplyDeleteThe issue here is that I doubt if that guy knows what it takes to graduate with a good grade. If one maintains a good grade right from his first year to final, there is no way his hod would give him a 3rd class.
