Every story has a meeting point!
I am a BV from Ghana and I came across your blog when you posted the TTC Prayer Points. Anyway, let me tell you about how I met my DH (Dear Husband). It's a bit long, pardon me.
I work at a bank in Accra and the company my husband works for has their account domiciled at my branch. In October 2011, I assumed duties as the Administrative Secretary of the branch so my office was just before the branch Manager's office.
My DH is the Senior Accountant for the company so he was visiting the branch frequently with his boss (Chief accountant).
I liked him the first time I set my eyes on him. He is tall and tough, fair skin, shaves bald and leaves moustache (more like Banky W). OMG, I just wanted this guy to greet me so that I will respond and find a way of turning the greeting into a conversation but lai lai, all he would say before he passed to my boss' office was "hi".

OMG, I just wanted this guy to greet me so that I will respond and find a way of turning the greeting into a conversation but lai lai, all he would say before he passed to my boss' office was "hi".
How can a person turn "hi" into a conversation? I said to myself, this dude is too-known, and rude.
Fast forward to February 2012, DH visited the branch and as usual said "hi" and went to my boss' office. After he left, my boss called me into her office and was beaming with joy, she asked me if DH was not hot and handsome and every woman's dream man? I answered in the affirmative and left her office with a broken heart. My boss was 32 years ,single and searching so I thought DH had proposed to her. I was only 21 years so I said, okay my boss needs a husband more than I do now so let her have him, my own will come.
I stopped paying attention to him and smiling whenever he visited. However, I noticed that anytime he visited, my boss would follow him out and get him to stand at my office and chat with him, then she would ask for my contribution, I cannot find the words to describe how much that upset me.
2 months later, sometime in April 2012, DH came to the branch but there were visitors in my boss' office so he had to wait in my office. After about 5 minutes, he mentioned my name and said, "I want to marry you". I was upset, I insulted him, how dare he say that to me when it was clear that he was dating my boss.

My boss came out to ask what the noise was about and after I told her, she laughed at me. DH was asking about me from my boss and that was why she asked me if I found him hot. He was 27 years and not dating my boss. My birthday was the following month, he bought me a beautiful cake and we became friends. We got married in March 2014, I was 23.
I thank God for a beautiful and amazing life with him, we are still praying for the fruit of the womb and I'm still doing the TTC prayer points.
Side Note: My boss got married a year after I did and she has given birth to a beautiful baby girl.

DeleteAnon 13:12, I pity you. Pray you don't find your self in such situation.
DeleteAnon 13:55,you are stupid. When do you want her to start praying for the child,5 or 10 years into Marriage?
DeleteSome people can be so heartless? So you want her to wait 10yrs before she starts trying?
DeleteNever belittle anyone's waiting period. We all handle things differently. The woman who has waited 5yrs and another who waited 1month both have a desire in their heart, and until it is fufilled, they won't rest so don't talk thrash.
May God visit you soon poster. Nice story.
Omo senseless. Shut up ur dirty mouth!!!

I just used my past Mills and Boon reading mind to picture the whole scenario..
ReplyDeleteThis handsome tall man with head shinning like Banky's walks in,with his eyes locked to hers and says: "Susan,I want to marry you"
Susan flares up! "How dare you"
"I am not one of those ladies that swoon around you" She says.
Who do you think you are?
"I am decent!! I know you are dating my boss"
"You swagger in here like you are God's gift to women with your nicely carved beard and utter this"
Then the boss walks in,clears the air and Susie blushes... whispers in a husky voice: Yes! Yes! I will marry you😂😂😂😂
They lived happily ever after....
Don't mind me jare,I'm in a naughty mood..
You are in my prayers.. expecting your labour room drama soon😘😘😘
Amen..

DeleteWow sweet story, don't worry your expectations shall not be cut off
ReplyDeleteI met my husband 6yrs ago at the park when i was hawking bannana for my mum. I was a virgin when i met him. Then, wen he came for my hand, my mum refused. Said there was something off about him. That she can't place her fingers on it. I begged my mum to give us her blessings. She refused. My hubby cried his eyes out. He was crying because he taught my mum rejected him cos he was poor. He vowed to make it at all cost. After much pleading, my mum gave us her blessings. Looking back,i sincerely regret not listening to my mum. Its being six years of pain an agony. He made it quite alright. We go on vacations, get everything i want but I'm unhappy. I have just a son, an imbecile. I've been ttc for more than 4yrs now. What pains me most is that my hubby isn't bothered at all. He doesn't go to church, doesn't allow me either. Hospital nkor? He doesn't. People have started saying he is a cultist. That he used our child for sacrifice. I'm beginning to suspect him since he doesn't want us to seek solution for our son. and isn't bothered. IM TIRED!
ReplyDeleteWhy don't you help yourself woman? You want to have another imbecile before you do something?
DeleteYou said you're suspecting, you just don't want to believe the reality.
Han?? 😏😏😏😏😏😏
DeleteFirst never call your own child an imbecile.very derogatory word.he is mentally disabled not an imbecile.
DeleteSecondly yes your husband might have a hand in your son's situation.why not ignore him and still take that boy to church???or you can take your son and husbands pic to MFM headquarters or prayer city and pray on the pics and tell God to reveal things to you
How can u call ur son an imbecile?
DeleteU go on vac but u cant steal some money frm ur hubby n carry ur pickin go hospital.
Madam e dey your body oo.
Infact e full your body.
And y must it be him, are u crippled?
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 sorry I have to laugh cos this shit is funny.
DeleteI think he's a ritualist sef coz u said "he vowed to make it @all cost" and he eventually did, who knows wat he use to av d money.
DeletePple do unspeakable things jst to av money these days.
Wow
DeleteArrrhhhh
DeleteEwoo! See One chance... I'm so sorry for you. Just pray.... It changes things
DeleteMadam, i was once in your shoes. I confronted him o. He said the day i go to church, that's the day i will leave his house. I disobeyed him o. Took my son for deliverance. It was while i was in church that pastor now made revelations. It was my hubby all along.he used my son for rituals. I just jejerly packed my things and left his house. Filled for divorce. He threatened to deal with me bla bla bla. I just ignored his treats. Stupid occult man.😒😒😒😒😒
DeleteOga ooo
