Oshiomhole Dethrones Suspended King Ojuromi of Uromi Over Assault Brouhaha.

The Edo State Government has deposed Anselm Edenojie as the Ojuromi of Uromi.

His deposition was contained in a letter signed by Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Julius Ihonvbere.

The development came barely 24 hours after the monarch dragged the state government to court.

The deposition letter was dated November 9, 2016 and addressed to: “Mr Anselm O. Edenojie.”

Entitled: “Deposition from Office as Ojuromi of Uromi: Addendum,” the letter reads in part: “Please be informed that the initial Exco decision of 26th October 2016 has been further affirmed.

“Consequently, you have been deposed as the Ojuromi of Uromi pursuant to Section 28 (i & ii) of the Traditional Rulers & Chiefs Law, 1979.

“Kindly, therefore, disregard our letter of 4th November 2016 on the subject ‘Re: Letter of Apology to Edo State Government.’”

    2. He has no moral justification to correct someone that disrespected a woman.

    3. Fan Emmanuel, Oshiomole apologised to dt woman and bettered her life afterwards. He verbally a used the woman not physically but all thesame it was wrong which he tried to amend but this one has refused to apologise to the woman he beat up in public.

    3. Please dont not comment if you don't know the full story. Why will a king get involved in politics up to the extent of siding one party and going as far as telling his people not to vote for APC. He's supposed to b a father to all notwithstanding the political party . He even went as far as slapping someone's wife and refused to apologise of which a king is not supposed to hit someone it's forbidden. We know there's a little vendetta on the governor's part. But dethroning the king is not against the law. According to the law the governor has the full right to dethrone any king found wanting. Sorry king you shouldn't be involved in politics,if you eventually escape this learn from people like our On(Oba of Benin) and stop feeling untouchable. We practice democracy in Nigeria and not monarchy.

    4. @ mercy, tell them , traditional rulers and spiritual leaders should not be involved in partisan politics .

    5. So suddenly traditional rulers shouldn't be involved in politics abi? So why didn't Fashola suspend the Oba of Lagos when he was canvassing for votes for Ambode? Abeg forget all these assault Osho is hinging his actions on. This one is pure politics! Foolish short man devil.

  11. Clearly Osho is trying to let him know who the boss is.

  13. Just because he supported Ize Iyamu of PDP. That's y I don't pity any politician in Prison....dy r all d same

  14. There is more to this story. First of all an apology was demamded now it has been replacedwith dethronement. The Enojie must have said or did something contrary to what was demanded.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Does a governor have a right to dethrone a king?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Yes local king. He can't try this with oba of Benin.

      Delete
    2. Actually yes, under the Law. In fact. Every chieftaincy is under the governor. They must be sanctioned by the government and collect staff of office from the governor before declaring themselves king

      Delete
    3. @monkeynofine this is because Oba of Benin would never be involved in such . Mind you ,there is actually no basis for comparison between both monarchs.

      Delete
  16. This one na wa o

  17. Is it an offence for the king to render apology if he truly steps on someone's toes?

    ReplyDelete
  18. This is too harsh. He has suffered one week suspension already , why double punishment.

  19. Hahahahahahahaha! Oshiomole don price market wey e nor go fit buy.

  22. There is much more to this story. The lady, betty okoebor is an aunt to oshio's gf who bore him a child. Rumour has it that oshio is also "ducking" the said betty! Anon 18:21, you are so right about anslem. He's stingy with a small d--k!
