Hmmmm!!!
Fast forward to 41weeks,I went for antenatal on a Tuesday and unfortunately,my card couldn't be found.I was now asked to get my folder from records department before I will be attended to.
I forgot to mention that I registered in a General hospital. After like an hour,I went back to ANC department,I told them it is not my fault so I can't be sent out of the clinic. They eventually got A4 paper to record my details for that day till they get my folder.
They called me forward to check my bp but to my surprise, the nurse just shouted 180/120.They had to change the bp thing and used another one,it was the same.immediately, they took me to the consultant, he checked me and told me to sign for CS but I was just too stubborn, I told him I will birth the baby naturally.
He tried to convince me,I refused.then I was admitted for induction. They gave me drugs to lower the bp then after a while,I was to buy the induction pack.I was induced in the early hours of the following morning but we were 2.my other partner gave birth around 12pm and I was there with no pains.I wasn't dilated at all.when it was 12am, I was told I shouldn't eat anything that I will be operated by 6am.
I just slept off since I wasn't feeling anything.
5am on the dot,I woke up from a sharp pain in my back.I screamed,it was like a spiritual attack.I was now panting like a wild dog.I felt a serious pain at my back like someone using axe to separate my back from my buttocks.it was very serious.
Anytime the pain comes,I will shout at the top of my voice.the doctor came and checked me,he said by 8am, I will put to bed that they should all go to bed.I shouted that I don't think I can bear the pain till then.
Come see drama,I rolled under the bed and I was using the bed iron to swing. After like 10mins,I felt the urge to push,I shouted again"doctor, igbe n gbon mii o" I want to excrete oooooo.
Nobody answered, I had to scream more, the doctor later showed up angrily,he checked me and the baby's head already crowned. I was now taken to the Labour room, the doctor broke the water and he tore me,then he asked me to push.I was so happy that this was coming to an end.
I pushed with all my might and my adorable daughter came to the world.then one of the nurses came and said doctor, but it was just 4cm that time, this madam don born. I birthed the baby at 5.30 am.My baby weighed 4.6.
Hope my long epistle didn't bore you.I hope to send another one in months time.

DeleteYes I'm sexually active, I'm not working, only hubby.
I was exclusively breastfeeding and it's supposed to be a natural form of contraception.

ReplyDeleteLol. Labour no be beans ma. Congrats.
ReplyDeleteBig congrats madam. Mothers eh. God bless my mum and all mothers round the world
ReplyDeleteFrom what I've read so far, it's as if women who gets a tear are women whose babies weigh 4kg and above. God please ooo, give me lekpa baby, I don't want a tear biko. Biko gbaharam.
ReplyDeleteEven 3.5kg sef, just pray to have a healthychild with a stress free labour. The episiotomy is just a deliberate cut to help and it's neater unlike the tear which most times is very painful and shattering.
DeleteI heard even if the baby is small but the head is big,you will be cut lol.I remember watching all those birthing videos at ante natal classes and fear go dey catch me.women try oh
DeleteMy baby weighed 2.7kg but skill gave me a tear.
DeleteI was so scared of tears and made sure to listen and read all advice given. I was told to start from around 3 months rubbing oil in the perineal area ( your husband should do it for you). This helps when it comes to pushing and reduces likelyhood of tears or needing to be cut. Also have plenty sex whilst pregnant. Listen to the midwife very carefully if she is a good one and push well but not aggressively and you would not tear. I followed all instructions and did not tear with any of my babies. However, both did have good sized heads so maybe it is that too. One weighed 3.1 and the other 3.4kg. Very tall slim babies with nice shaped heads. I also delivered in the uk with lovely midwives but it does not matter where you deliver just follow instructions well.
DeleteCongratulations, my sister's EDD haff come and gone without any signs. I called her to know how she's doing and she was like no be me dey put labor, it will come when it will come. I just pray for safe delivery.
ReplyDeleteI wish her safe delivery IJN
DeleteSave delivery to her
Deletedunno aw to react to dis lrd, lemme read comments
ReplyDeleteCongratulations madam! And another congrats in advance for the one on the way lol
ReplyDeletePlease don't think too much this time around to avoid your blood pressure rising again
How God delivers some women is just so mysterious.
ReplyDeleteStella post my LRD o...or is it missing from your folder? Lol
Thank God for u oo, All these general hospitals and their wahala
ReplyDeleteI wnt to register for Antenatal but confuse. If to go for General Hospital or Health Care Centre
DeleteGo to general Hospital pls.
DeleteLemmi read comment biko
ReplyDeleteWhat you did was risky, thank God it ended well. There's no biggie about CS, have you heard about eclampsia before?
ReplyDeleteI just don't understand pple. With poor mentality abt cs, they just make it look live the world is coming to an end, elective cs lo le se, I can't kil myself with labour stress.
DeleteHahahahaha @rolling under the bed and using bed iron to swing LMAO!! Labour is one funny something.
ReplyDeleteYay first!!
4.5kg? Wow. I thank God for you but don't you ever refuse anything again. Women should stop been careless. BP of 180? It was God on your side o.
ReplyDeleteNa wa o @ Oluwatoyosi....even me im surprised that d doctor allowed her to have d baby naturally with a bp of 180/120!!!! Very dangerous thing to allow. And imagine d whole drama ontop of d bp ish. Some hospitals are indeed very careless. The poster in question should go down on her kneels n thank God daily, God was indeed on her side. Though some women avoid CS cos of d money, but in a general hospital, CS is a bit on d cheap side. Poster pls do not take such risk again, i beg u o. God just saved u d first time. That is a pre enclampsia case, n its indeed a serious ish. Though God is a miracle working God, but as women we should take precaution during childbirth, as a little carelessness might lead to something drastic. Poster i rejoice with u, thank God ur LRD ended in praise.
DeleteThank God for safe delivery
ReplyDeleteCongrats ma
ReplyDeletePlease, how are women getting pregnant in this Buhari time? na wa o. God help us.
ReplyDeleteNo. We would wait for u. Not untill u re in d shoe... u will not understand
DeleteYour baby was big at birth! Congratulations.
ReplyDeleteThank God for you

ReplyDeleteOh God..this is scary o.how I go take do na cos as a woman I must bornππππ.God help me o when it's time to cross that bridge...Lemme go tell mama thank you for the pains she passed through to birth me.☺☺ πππMySweetMother
ReplyDeletethats how some women will be forming i dont want CS and be committing sucide...u are lucky......nothing wrong with having CS cos it has saved countless mothers....if anything had happened to you they would have blamed the doctors or witches in your village...i know some doctors do CS anyhow but i your case your BP was high and eclampsia na serious matter
ReplyDeleteOnly God can do suchthings... Congratulations madam.
ReplyDeleteWait o.U had ur baby while @4cm dilation?Used to think it must be upto 10cm o
ReplyDeleteIt would definitely have gotten to 10cm. The last time they checked twas 4cm, and for the baby to have crowned means she had dilated fully.
DeleteChoi your baby is very big, madam you try no be small. Congrats
ReplyDeleteUsing bed iron to swing kind of reminds me of George of the jungle. Congrats ma'am
