BLOG VISITOR GOT THE JOB!

Dear Stella,
I would like to thank Almighty God for the 11th hour miracle he bestowed on 'undeserving me'‎
I applied in faith for one of the vacancies you posted recently, and in less than 2 weeks after you posted, I'm EMPLOYED!!! After more than 2 years of unemployment....hmmmmm. God removed the shame and reproach within the twinkle of an eye.‎ I'm still numb from the shock and how easy it came.

If you're in a place of unrest at the moment, just know that God sees those hidden tears, He hears the silent screams of your heart and the groans in your soul; and He will definitely come through for you. Don't give up, don't give in, don't let go. I've been there and I know but hold on tightly unto the God who never fails.
I prayed, fasted, cried in the presence of God till my eyes ached. Most days, I have to be sure I'm not fasting before putting anything in my mouth. On days I couldn't pray‎, I praised and worshipped for at least an hour. Beyond all these, God's mercy found me.

Stella, God bless you ‎. Believe me, you're and will remain the apple of God's eyes. Thank you for this platform and letting God use you to bless others.
Warm regards.

WOW...congrats dearie.....

APPRECIATION TO BLOG VISITOR..

Stella greetings to you .......

I want to appreciate you and fellow blog visitors for all the good things that goes on here. I discovered this blog 2years ago, ever since then, it became a part of me. When my marriage collapsed due to Domestic Violence last year and my chronicles was posted (www.stelladimokokorkus.com/2015/12/chronicle-of-blog-visitor-narrative_20.html?m=1).

I wanted to go back to my ex hubby as advised but he did not get any job as he claimed and he was already living with another woman.

I found relief from comments which ranges from prayers to positive advice and encouragement. Three bvs had personal contact with me. Now there was one particular woman, Mrs D who came to visit me during the period. She gave me and my son some gifts too and since then I send her greetings and prayers every 1st day of the month.

Beginning of this month, i was very sick and hospitalized so I couldn't send the monthly "happy new month" to her, my phone was switched off. Stella, you won't believe this woman came to my home to see me and check how I'm faring. I never knew she kept my address.

I was very elated, my neighbours were surprised when I told them I met her online. She met me at home as I was already discharged, she said I looked pale and gave me 9k to buy foodstuff and multivitamins . It was like 9million in this hard times when we barely eat twice daily. Thank you Mrs D, may God remember you when you need him, may your pocket never run dry.

Stella, I want you to know that some people like us now have new family members here, God bless you.

Mrs D,Whoever you are wherever you dey,God's blessing go dey follow you everywhere like the smell of ogufe when them wan use do ise-ewu.....God will blessing from early morning when the sun rises to when it sets in the evening.....Thank you for looking out for one of us....ehen!

BV SAYS HE EXPERIENCED JUNGLE JUSTICE 1ST HAND

I totally disagree with jungle justice.
When I was very much younger. I had a friend and we were so close that we go everywhere, discuss everything and do our home works together. Then i was 8 years old and my friend was a year older than me but we were in same grade four in different schools.

One Saturday morning he came to my house inform me about the practical his teacher ask him to do as homework and to ensure he submits it the following Monday. You know how it was then if you fail to do your homework just consider yourself in hot soup when you get to school. The practical was about knowing how many days it takes for nail to rust in ordinary water compared to nail in water mixed with salt

So we trekked to the next bus stop and if you are familiar with Okokomaiko you will know Kpako bus stop before Cassidy b/s. There they sell all kinds of building materials and most times when we pass through the market to see our friends in PPL behind Lasu we do see nails and other little building materials on the ground that this people don’t use wasting.

We needed like 4 new nails to carry out this practical so we thought Kpako market would be a good place to get new nails. When we got there we started looking for nails without rusty surface and while we were crawling on wet ground that morning picking nails and trying to see very good nails with no rust, a man in his early 70s grabbed my both hand , dipped it into his sack of nails and started screaming OLE O....OLE O...

I was only a baby with no intention to steal. Though we lived in Okokomaiko my family were very okay and my dad could afford to buy me anything for my home work. My Dad was very popular man in that area because he was a known chief from Delta state and as at that time Regular Benz was for only big boys and my that had one and people also know him for his Benz. Am talking around 1995 and In fact then we were building our own hotel around that area. Most times my dad drove down to Kpako market with me to order for building materials but we couldn’t get new nails from my dad’s site that was why we went to Kpako market to look for new nails.

Before i could say jack, there was crowd everywhere me and my friend were trapped in the mist of able men. They asked us to kneel and they started slapping and beating us with wood and all kind of stuff they could lay their hands on and they were shouting “today una go die little children way done dey learn how to thief at this age before una go turn into Anini we go first kill una”.

After few minutes the head of the market came and said they should wait. He ordered someone to flog us fifty strokes each with a belt from their sawing machine and ask us to run as fast as we could after taking the strokes and if they catch us while running after the strokes they will start over again and immediately we ran so fast like thieves.

When we got to our area we couldn’t go home straight so we went to my dad’s uncompleted building to cry and ease the pains before going home. There were bruises on every part of my body but because my dad was a very busy man and a very strict man, i did everything to avoid him and i didnt tell him because i fear i would get another rounds of beating if i tell him what happened.

So in all kind i so disagree with jungle justice because some people who are found in the wrong places end up being treated like a criminal.

200k BUSINESS IDEA NEEDED

Good day Stella.... I am a huge fan of yours, and you have helped me solve some difficult issues in the past, and for that I am really grateful...

Stella please I an here again, with another request, please I would be very pleased if you can post this on the blog as I need the advice of well meaning blog visitors.. Am 21,and a fresh graduate, awaiting service. I have overtime managed to save up 200,000 naira and am so confused as to what business to start up with that amount, especially in this recession period..

I am tired of being financially independent, and what to be my own boss already. I am a beautician and hairstylist in training though. I initially thought of divulging into human hair business, but an totally lost on how and where to start, I need a business that wouldn't require me having a shop for now, because, I should be serving by March next year..

Do you think I should complete my training first before starting up something ? Is human hair business good? What other businesses can I do for now? Please I would really appreciate your advices and opinions ..thank you..

why dont you do seasonal business?as Christmas is approaching do small packs
as concerns the environment you are in and sell, wait for Valentine and sell and then go for your service cos you cannot concentrate on your business if you have to serve, when you are thru with Service you can now think of what to do
#my two cents oh

YESTERDAYS CHRONICLE WRITER BABYBLU WRITES BACK

Good day Aunty Stella. I'm so grateful to you for posting my chronicles of a wicked boss yesterday.I want to appreciate my lovely 'beevees' for their kind words although some were quite harsh especially that of queen and boss,I pray you don't go through what some people face everyday of their lives.

Some said I've had a thing with my boss in the past but that's an allegation which is not true. Some asked about my baby daddy, husband and horseband (lol), I'm married to a wonderful guy who is presently out of job because this recession hit his company hard.

He's seriously searching and trying his best as a father and husband. My salary is what we've been managing. I purposely left him out of my chronicle because it wasn't about him and i didn't want people bashing him as that will hurt my feelings.
I want to thank you all once again and tell you that I've handed my boss over to God. I will continue with the job and apply in other places hoping and praying that God answers. We need the money even though it's not much and we are robbing Peter to pay Paul.

I now see why it's not good having just one breadwinner in the family,it's not been easy on me. I solve maths everyday, anywhere just to manage money. I even trekk sometimes just to save cost, sometimes we go to bed hungry, it's a sad situation.
In all I still give thanks to God.

Thank you
Bv Babyblu

  4. I wonder why some folks readily embark on suicidal journeys without considering the implications.
I was at home yesterday afternoon on my laptop, when I heard the shouts of ole, ole (thief, thief). I was like, what now? I went to the balcony and there I saw a crowd had gathered. I asked questions and was told the guy went into the shop that sells generators downstairs and stole an infinix note 3. Immediately, I went to my mum who was sleeping and told her to go downstairs and stop a riot that might claim lives. I told her what happened and in fact, Usain Bolt would have envied my mum with the speed she got out of bed. I would have gone, but bla bla bla.
Anyway, my mum was able to douse the tension and she pleaded on the guy’s behalf. They released him, but not without him earning some slaps.
Times are hard, I know, but dearies, folks are very hungry and angry at the moment. The guy was lucky he committed the theft in an area where folks are reasonable and he was lucky he didn’t decide to bodily harm anyone.
This takes me to the issue of jungle justice. I do not and will never support jungle justice, but like someone said, I do not wear the shoe and I do not know where it pinches.
Personally, I have been a victim of armed robbery. The first time Obama won the Presidency, I worked very late that night because I had to cover the story. I had made up my mind to sleep in the office, but one of my bosses offered to give me a ride to Dopemu under bridge if I could take the risk of walking home alone. I accepted the offer and folks, it was way past midnight. I thought, nothing could happen and anyway I had only a few change in my bag so I was sure even if anything happened, I wouldn’t have anything to lose. My boss dropped me at my destination and immediately I crossed to the other side, I just felt someone trying to strangle me. It was later I realized he was trying to remove my gold necklace (how these thieves recognize real gold is beyond me). Anyway, he removed it successfully and mounted on a bike waiting for him. I started screaming, ole, ole (thief, thief). I was shocked when the man alighted from the bike and came back to me and told me these words I will never forget, “Oni gbagbe ale yi lai lai” “You will never forget this night forever” and he stabbed me near my eye. Thankfully, the knife didn’t pierce my eye and I was able to stagger home. I even met some policemen on the way and when I told them what just happened, I was blamed for coming home at that hour when I know that area is notorious for nefarious activities. I managed to get home, amidst covered in blood. I cried out at the gate and my mum with the help of my sister, rushed me to the hospital and it ended well.
What if I had died that night? What if my mum had been made to cry because of the loss of her first daughter? Funny enough, I used to be the second daughter, but she lost the first one (story for another day).
What’s the essence of my long epistle? I do not and will never support jungle justice, but like someone said, you will never know until a dad weeps like a baby and a mum never knows happiness for the rest of her life.

  20. So something really strange happened to me last night. I'm still trying to comprehend it. It's possible I forgot tho but I've been seriously racking my brain but I just can't remember.

Last night, when I got back from school (around after 5 sha). Took my shower and changed to my nightie since I wasn't planning to leave d house at all. Around 10 or so, I went to bed. I always lock my room door. So I locked my door and went straight to bed. So I woke up around past 4am to pee. I tied my towel cos I was naked and went to pee.

Now here's the problem, can't remember taking off my nightie to sleep. Been thinking and thinking. And there was light all through the night with two fans in my room (one ceiling fan and one standing fan that directly faces me) so taking off my nightie because of heat is totally ruled out.

My sisters aren't around so I use d room alone so I can't say anyone of them is playing pranks on me.

I have been thinking, thinking and thinking. And I hardly forget things. I don't just know what to think again and I'm trying not to imagine d worst.
